New Gen for Victoria Issue

I have a recurring issue that I can not seem to fix. When using the effects feature with the New Gen addon, I get good results in the normal lighting of studio, but when I render the scene in a different, lower light I am getting the issue shown. The red blotches appear at random and change with the pose. I am wondering what is causing this and how to fix it.

• I do not have this issue with the effects turned off
• I have tried clicking the "Update The Materials of New Gens"
• I am using a MacBook Pro - but will say other "wet" effects work without issue with it

I have attached two images with the same model with the same settings. Just wondering why the purple tinted one is compromised.
