Hello everyone, I wanted to share a project I'm starting work on and wanted to ear your thoughts and suggestions!


The game would be a text based RPG (heavily inspired by Lilith's throne, Degrees of Lewdity, and Trials in Tainted Space).

The main gameplay loop would be alternating between breeding/training/finding the best allies and fighting against enemies together with them. All on the backdrop of a mostly sandbox game world.


While the game will be mostly open an open and free to explore world, but I do have plans for an overarching story.


A big part of the game would be breeding. You can either do it yourself or make others do it. The idea is for you to find good allies, either buying strong slaves, bonding with random NPCs or birthing them yourself, and then breeding them to gain even better and strongers companions.

To support this there would be an in-depth genetics system and traits, both for esthetics and for utilities.


The battle system would be more traditional, mostly turn based and inspired by traditional jrpg, although right now not much is actually decided about the combat system.


Another key mechanic would be corruption, going from 100 to -100 (pure to corrupt), this would actually heavily change both your character and the world reaction to you, changing where you can go freely and who will attack you. Unlike most ero game your actions aren't going to be limited by your corruption, so it's more like a karma system.


Lastly there will be some transformation mechanic but it will be very limited for anything not esthetic, you should be able to skip breeding to get stronger companions, but it isn't easy.

I would love to ear your thoughts and suggestions, I can answer any questions and go more in depth, but I've only recently started working on this, so the wast majority of stuff is not even close to be implemented.


So my question for you is, what do you want to see in the game, what sounds cool, what sounds bad, and what would make you play it?

Questions:
- Which engine will you use?
- About the transformations, what kind of idea you have for it (you've mentioned mostly the esthetics, but ngl as a fan of the transformation games I'm interested what else you could use it for :v)
- Will the companions stay with you forever, or when they will fall behind you could get rid of them (like selling or like in smt games fuse some to get stronger allies)?

-I'm going for a very stupid option, I'm actually building my own engine, the game will be coded in C++ using SFML as the main support library, as a result development will be slow at the start but I hope it will let me implement more cool stuff.
- Transformation will have the ability to fully modify a character, meaning you could potentially get whatever result you seek starting from anyone, the idea is balancing should make it more and more difficult as you move more and more away from the starting point.
Some example of stats relevant traits there will be basic stuff like height, generic stuff like infrared vision (like snakes), and traits that result from the combo of other physical characteristics, e.g. with a dragon lungs and mouth you will unlock dragon breath. The idea is to create combos with this traits to maximize the power of your party.
- I dont have plans for a fusion mechanic yet, but you can definitely sell companions you own, I also plan to have a sort of retire location, and lastly I plan to have the possibility of death for very specific combat scenarios, so you could lose your companions there too. Another thing to note is that I plan to make all NPCs permanent, meaning that if you sold a slave you could meet them in the map, maybe in the local brothel or maybe in a fight against an enemy that bought them.
