The pixel art is excellently fluid, and the game does effectively capture the cruddy VHS vibe, but that's about the upper limit of praise. The pixel art is still a little too low-res, especially for the extremely slow pace of its limited content. Half of the 14 endings are just parody alterations of the end-cards, and the other half can be subdivided by whether or not the girl is turned into a bug monster, with each route being only 5-10 minutes in length without fast-forwarding.

I would love to see more of this kind of stuff, especially with its Choose Your Own Adventure formula, the use of timing to go on branching paths, and the scenario of playing the monster, but this only (*really* only) scratches the surface.

amazing animations done, very fluid! and lovely pixel art BUT this game feels like it lacks h content, there's only really 3 scenes that you can slightly edit but other than that its not much. i do apricate the fact you can turn off the gore, very nice option.

The sprite work is amazing and the concept is cool
    but
    1. There's very little actual h-content
    2. The exploration wasn't super rewarding. The endings weren't super memorable and the differences in path weren't terribly distinct. BUT MAYBE I JUST FELT THAT WAY BECAUSE
    3. EVERYTHING IS SO FSCKING SLOW. All the animations, the transitions, everything. Playing this game was like PULLING TEETH even with a fast forward option.

This was a really interesting game. I really enjoy the style of gameplay that went into this and the atmosphere it created really is like exploring some kind of lost media with a VHS player. This honestly makes me want to go out and buy a bunch of burned CDS or random VHS tapes just to see what kind of strange media is in them.

Personally I did not like all of the content that was in the game as I felt it was a bit too graphic for my tastes but I can still really appreciate everything that this game does and offers which is a really cool and interesting experience.

This is incredibly quality when it comes to presentation as a product. It has excellent pixel art, excellent atmosphere, and I enjoyed seeing what happened next. So why the average score?
Well this is a porn game website and in this game you have one route that is actually porn which contains one sex animation. Its not actually porn.
It has many chances to be porn, like a certain transformation scene could end in a transformed individual fucking a certain non transformed individual. Or Getting expanded breasts could lead to a special ending (or literally anything at all).
Instead this is a small horror game that feels like it had a tentacle porn scene inserted to make some cash back.

not my cup of tea, but the game is really well done. the animations are gorgeous and everything just feels really alive, the horror aspect is also really well done and i appreciate the ability to fast forward because god damn is this game slow, looking forward to seeing more from this developer (hopefully something more vanilla)

I honestly think this game deserves 5 stars. It's not trying to be too much, it's not trying to be too little, it's the right amount of content and replayability.

Like others, I feared that this game would be a boring h-scene viewer with 'gameplay' too complex for what it really is. Well it ain't that! It's a game where you're given multiple choices, and each choice takes you to a different version of the story. Grab the girl? Let her go? Let her continue without interfiering? And it's not just "click on the icons on the bottom of the screen" to make a choice, timing can matter. I'll be honest though, timing doesn't matter THAT much but the fact that it can matter is a good thing to know for future games or updates. We might get more ways to make a choice, who knows?

The game isn't too long, especialy if you're following the ending's guide (don't use a guide immediatly, try the thing on your own, at least for a bit)
The animations are great, seriously it's good pixelart in my opinion, love the style.
The sound design is good, it's not some kind of old school stuff to go with the pixelart.
My only complaint at this point is that "there's not enough content", but at this point yeah if you like something, when you finish it, you're gonna want some more.

So yeah, that's really about it, see ya.

This is what many h-games should aspire to be. Amazing spritework, unique premise and enjoyable beyond the porn side of it. Nie -Sacrifice- is both a love letter- and porn parody of what it sought to emulate. Each playthrough is brief but offers a unique VHS horror movie like sequence distinct from the other and you can save each run into one of the three save slots to view again later. Even if you don't find tentacle rape, grotesque transformation and horror arousing, you should at least give it a try for the experience alone.

It's one of those games where I really respect the premise and its aesthetic from an artistic perspective, but I found it too shallow to recommend. It's obviously making fun of disappointing bad horror films. But if the idea is that you're merely copying that, then the end result will be.... a disappointing bad horror film.

To be more precise, it works once or twice due to the novelty of the aesthetic, but quickly loses its effect if you have to play through it 20+ times.

The story is extremely generic, and the different endings didn't really seem to add any interesting new perspectives to it, which would be the main strength of adapting horror vhs into a choice-based video game. Once you've seen 2 or 3 endings, you've seen them all. Think of it like, "you can choose if the monster released into the world is an insect or a tentacle monster". That sort of thing.

I guess my main issue is that the game is simply missing some kind of payoff to the whole activity.

A masterpiece of a game. I came here expecting a generic hentai scene viewer, but this is so much more than that. This game actually has a subtle, well-written plot that unfolds with every choice you make, turning it into an interactive short film. It's a well-crafted homage to not just point-and-click games, but classic horror movies too. I hope the developer continues to create games like this, he is clearly talented in both game design and storytelling, which is something that hentai games sorely need!

Cool game with some nice pixel art and interesting paths, reminds me of Slay the Princess. The concept of different choices affecting the world at different times also plays well into the whole thing. The porn is alright, im not into vore or tentacles so nothing special there. Weird choice of engine as it kind of emulates old pre 2000s games

I love pixel art and this game's got nice animation, didn't care much for the actual hentai though, "Came for the Hentai, stayed for the lore" sort of stuff. The whole vibe is great and the naming scheme thing for the VHS's is really a neat idea for "saves". It feels like a genuine piece of art though.

It's well-animated, I'll give it that. And it's nice that there's a fast forward button, so you don't have to watch the whole scene again when you're going for different endings.

I wish the game would properly full-screen without breaking. I know it's supposed to be 4:3 to mirror VHS, but they could easily just put black borders around the 4:3 aspect ratio and it would've been fixed.
