A Castlevania scroller with the sluggish combat of Dark Souls and some extremely violent hentai.

Starting with the gameplay: the combat will probably not be enjoyable for anyone who doesn't like the Dark Souls style of wind-up swings, post-swing wind-downs, and dodge rolls. This combat style makes it easy to play the game if you have enough patience to learn patterns and queues, but it's an antipattern in an eroge, in my opinion, because it elongates the time between scenes and forces your brain to engage on things other than the porn. Still, I can't deny the game dev did the souls-style justice.

On the subject of those porn scenes, it seems like 25% of defeat scenes in this game are not porn at all, but just violent death scenes. You'll walk up to a new enemy hoping to see their sex scene and instead see the main character beheaded, cut in half, dismembered, or impaled. This again left me feeling conflicted on the vision/target audience of the game.

Finally, the plot is nothing novel. The premise is that a witch is helping the church to defeat demonic corruption, but there's also a zealous group of inquisitors as a rogue element. With that summary, you probably already know how the full story's going to go.

However, what really bummed me out about the story is that, even though it's translated from Japanese, you still have to click through the Japanese text before seeing the English. It ends up being twice as much clicking and a lot of cautious scanning to make sure you don't pass over the English version.

Overall, I actually did not enjoy this game at all, but I'm giving it 3 stars because I can't deny that this game has some beautiful art, a combat system that some people will love, and some unique kinks.

I thought it was a great game, I came for the sex and stayed for the gameplay. I think the sex scenes are great. It was like playing a porn version of Bloodstained Ritual of The Night lol, I give it a 9/10.

This Game is related the ones I've played before like guilty hell sinisistar also thornsins and any relatable H-Games question is damn people really can't take a hint why and how that well. I don't blame the maker or creator of the game, I played Bullet Requiem the gameplay is hoo but this is better "YET" still lack of guides compared to guilty hell even sinisistar they have map easily open "M" . Button so I say this my rating 9.5/10 good but I said earlier that's why I'm hoping D-Lis would make it better in his new project game problem is he can't translate japan to full english if only, I know it katakana and kanji and other benefit language.

Game has an excellent story, a karma system ( simple) , the animation and style of the girls is 10/10... just amazing. The game would be enjoyable even without H.

Every enemy has an H defeat animation scene, even smaller ones and when you die there is another scene depends on which map and enemies.

What happens when you combine dark and twisted "soulsborne" genre game with hentai rape platformer? Something different for sure but could it be good? Well it actually can. So we follow story of witch Aradia on her revenge quest... Quest full of creatures from nightmares, mighty enemies, powerful magic and large amount of perverted sex.

PROS:
+ Nice graphics and well made, detailed and long animations with many steps. And this really shines compared to other rape platformers. Really nice job.
+ Nicely made female protag. She do not act as typical whore-mc but instead is purely focused on her quest and have little interest in any sexual contacts. But at the same time she have have body so sexy that almost every encountered enemy want to rape her. So she often ends up being raped with tears in her eyes... But at the same time her body betrays her. Her slutty poses, orgasmic reactions and jiggling ragdoll shows clearly that deep inside she has submissive nature and enjoys being abused over and over again even if she won't admit it.
+ Lots of detailed and very sexy content with heavy focus on bdsm.
+ Game is also good as typical non-nsfw platformer. We have bunch of stats we can lvl up, lots of rings to wear and spells to use... And really big selection of weapons that can be upgraded of different paths. So there are many possible builds and fighting styles and many enemies and bosses with different attacks.
+ Nice story and and well made dark atmosphere combined with full audio.

CONS:
- Game doesn't look like 100% completed. I believe dev(s) didn't have time/will to give it final polishing and abandoned some ideas. But community patches and fixes (already included in dowload files) makes up for most of issues. Translation is however not that perfect, there are still some censored moments and occasionally you can encounter minor bugs.

As far as rape platformers/side-scrollers go this one here is in top league. It's not perfect but really good for this genre. So as longs as it's your game type I can only recommend playing.

considering i got a gamebreaking bug where i couldn't proceed further, i cannot rate it above 2 since it was literally unplayable. on a different save i downloaded or on a restart, it moved through that stuck place. but on that current playthrough even with a different earlier save it somehow didnt.

furthermore sex scenes are really easy to avoid which is a minus. you basically have to get caught and let the action happen. boring.

you have to run around a lot and find stuff... really really not a fan of it in 2d games. it's just uselessly making the game more boring and grindy.

graphics are ok, most H-scenes i found boring.

but there are some decent H-scenes on defeat against some enemies so that's why it's not 1/5 but 2/5

story is decent compared to other 2d platformers.

These games always fall short thanks to all the rape being so extremely easy to get out of. It's literally just hit your attack button and you're out. No minigame that gets harder the hornier/hurt you are? No lingering rape effects? No degradation of body and mind through continuous exposure? No cum layering? No debuffs like cum inflation or sticky? There's so much missing here, even with all the content. Every enemy feels like the same enemy because they all behave exactly the same and produce the exact same outcome.

TL-DR Game is challenging and fun! And quite kinky.

The FIRST thing you should do if your playing this game? download the fixed version. I almost gave up playing this due to the bandit boss diary just bugging the game. After that its fine though.

Actual Review:

Combat is decent. a tad bit janky like when your too close and your meele doesnt hit sometimes but thats a small issue. Parrying has a start up. it is not instant. so you have to KNOW when they are gonna hit and do the sick 400 damage combo after wards.

The weapon choices is quite a bummer though, some are just straight upgrades. and some are just the same thing with different stats. You got mainly 3 types honestly

The great swords / The swords / The lame magic weapons.

Each has its own play style. and also each weapon has a different combo and some has entirely different attacks.

The magic stuff: AH YES! im going to use my (insert cool magic move)!!! has to stand still for 2 seconds* gets hit by 2 enemies and get raped*

What type of magic do you have? the first one is.... GUN. Truly Magical. And then you got FIRE BALL! and BIGGER FIRE! And a musket that shoots faster then a modern sniper rifle some how.

Jokes aside! Magic has alot more to offer then what i just said go find and try it your self. some offers defensive. some are just kinda shit ngl. and some matches with ur weapon.

Actually fighting [ENEMIES]: Oh yeah im gonna not get hit!!! gets owned cause you fucked up the parry*

The enemies are diverse enough in my opinion. i kinda wish there was more but eh its good enough honestly, Most enemies will just rape you when your down. But some... will trigger [[ FATALITY]] so don't assume they wont flat out slice you in half. also just spam space bar if you dont wanna see gore.

Fighting [Bosses]: oh wow! this is actually fun to fight!

This is my favorite part of the game. I FUCKING LOVE BOSS FIGHTS!! each of them are unique and stands out. and most of them are fun. some are annoying. Figuring how to parry and when to attack is just so much fun.

Actually playing the game: WHERE THE FUCK DO I GOOOOOO!!!!

This is maybe just my issue? I legit ran around for like 30 minutes most the time being lost when ever i go to a new zone....

H scenes: Ayo a item? gets knocked to a trap and gets fucked*

The sex scenes... i'm not sure how to review this honestly... some are hot and some... questionable.... personal preference i guess? By the way all the sex scenes are rape only. what do you expect? the pregnancy concept is only for the slime bois. so dont expect alot of pregnant content. personally though most sex scenes are enjoyable. its a hot character getting fucked. do i really need to say more?

A truly well-made game that offers hours of fun and challenging gameplay, well animated scenes, a decent story, and a lot of fapping material.
You can sink in many hours trying different weapons and abilities and try to challenge yourself.
Highly recommend giving this game a try.

I have been keeping an eye on this game since its 0.3 version, it is finally complete, so I decided to try it and dear god, I was not impressed.

First, I couldn't progress past that gate where that old wonam on the building asks you to find something, I went through every single platform and path for every single location thus far, back and forth, and I couldn't find anything, and I honestly can't be bothered looking at guides.

Second, the menu navigation for skills, equipment, items and so on, I spent ~40% of my in-game time trying to figure out how to navigate these goddamn menus, these were CLEARLY built for controller and then ported over to PC without literally any changes, just terrible.

A quest tracked or a map or SOMETHING would drastically increase the quality of the game, but these things just do not exist.

Sure, you might say "The H-scenes are well animated monster rape scenes, 5/5" or "The combat is very deep and keeps you playing, the bosses are great, 5/5" or "The story is very interesting, 5/5" but I just quit the game out of frustration, my rating is 2/5.

really goated, let's support D-Lis in any way possible so they can keep making quality stuff for everybody. This is certainly one of the pillars of "gaming"

ALL OF MY RAGE!!!

This game is so incredibly buggy and wonky that it's practically unplayable.

Without even trying to, I crashed the game multiple times, solely because I chose to either interact with something the game wanted me to interact with, or because it just decided to stop working entirely.

The furthest I could get after multiple attempts, banging my head for over an hour, was literally five steps after the very first boss because that was when the game kept crashing.

I rarely give a game a one star rating, and usually it's because the game is completely unplayable to a reasonable extent...this is one of those games.

A very polished game that fully lives up to its darker tones and delivers on the hardcore elements. It has a variety of great scenes, animations, game overs, and most importantly, a solid souls-like side-scroller combat. Even with the auto translator the game is fun, and it has a surprisingly high variety of weapons, magic and gear.

GOOD:
- Solid combat system
- Variety of enemies and maps
- Good bosses
- Extreme ero-scenes for those that enjoy them

BAD:
- Honestly can't find anything that is particularly bad

UGLY:
- Game is pretty hard to complete without a map, but it adds to the challenge
- The auto translator is quite jank, but better than no translation

Great game but get the NoREro Mod! That mod makes this the best game I have found on this site, bar none! Very fun play with some nice weapons and amazing animations. Seriously, you will want to lose.

While the game is good, the Mod makes it much better. Actual struggle mechanics and grapples, and the difficulty or mechanics are easily customizable.

Mechanics 4/5 as magic doesn't really scale.
Enemies 5/5 because there is a lot and they are unique. My only grip is the bandits are so good but only in one short level.
Combat 5/5 --> its just good. Satisfying parrys, perfect blocks, slow mo dodges and a variety of weapons with upgrades that extend the combo string.

This game is awesome, and the mod makes it much better than it already is.

Edit: I can say, in my opinion, this with the mod is the greatest Hgame I have found on this site.

This game really did live up to the hype. It probably has the best gameplay I've ever seen in an h-game.
It's abundantly clear how much effort went into every facet of this game and how much is still going in. Since even after however many years, this game isn't done yet. New updates are still adding in new enemies and zones. Every enemy has at least 5 different animations. Idle, walk, attack 1, attack 2 and sex. Many enemies have a lot more. So the fact that this game has so many enemies (I couldn't encounter them all despite going through every zone I could find in a full playthrough) and new ones being added so frequently shows just how obsessed with quality the developers are. And that obsessive drive is why I had to give it 5 stars.

But I do have my criticisms. Some of these are based on my own personal taste and some of them are what I believe to be design flaws.
I knew going into this that the majority of enemies would be humans just from the screenshots and I was completely right. Besides tentacles and other creepers, I found about 3 enemies that were large male humanoid monsters. At least those 3 enemies had great sex scenes. This is purely a matter of personal taste though since those are the kinds of monsters I like. Which is why I'd love for more of those types of monsters to be added eventually.
Second is the fact that despite having the pregnancy tag, this game only has 1 pregnancy scene and that's with a slime. No other monster or human can impregnate the mc afaik. Which I'm not blaming the devs for since I know how much work it would take to implement more pregnancies for different monster types and they've chosen to spend resources on creating more monsters and levels instead. That's fine. Though I do hope they'll add more monster pregnancies eventually since it really feels like something the game is missing.
And on to the design flaws, there are some "events" in the game that if you click them, just lead to a long drawn out game over. You're not told that that's what'll happen. It's not really indicated in any meaningful way. A long scene just starts playing in which your character is subjected to various unsavory things and then the game just returns you to the latest checkpoint. Now these sorts of events make sense based on the theme and setting of this game but I really wish there were more indicators for what will happen if you activate these events so players who don't want to see this sort of thing would have an option to avoid it. Because currently the only thing you can do if you run into an event like this is alt+f4 and reload a save.
While you do have quite a bit of build diversity in this game between the myriad of diverse weapons and spells and different stat allocation options, the builds aren't particularly well balanced against each other. Magic in particular feels pretty weak. The spells don't do that much damage and the only way to recover mana is through limited potions of through sacrificing health. And health doesn't regenerate either so that option basically just converts health potions into mana potions at greater efficiency. It's also not that great against most bosses since spells have such long charge times and a lot of bosses later in the game can just use their i-frames to dodge your spells. The poor balance makes the build diversity in practice feel worse than it is.

That's it for the criticisms but one final note for anyone who read this far, this game is very dark and sadistic. It's basically the hentai equivalent of grimdark. Keep that in mind if you wish to play it.

Night of Revenge is a very ambitious dark souls-like game with some h elements in it that you will find by losing fights and therefore losing progress (bad idea as per usual). The game consists of a 2D side scroller with one attack type, magic attacks, dodges, blocks, and a good amount of weapons to use. The story is very objective and just background noise, witches, demons, church, the usual. Aradia the female protag can level up using souls dropped from enemies, augmenting her Strength, magic, health etc, one point at a time. I was shocked at how buggy and clunky this quasi-famous hgame is. In the 1.07 version I simply could not believe how bad simple things like navigating the menus are. There is no consistency on the button to exit menus and instead of Esc sometimes you use space. The combat is not great, just spamming one attack and slightly dodging sometimes, and for some reason you have to stop moving to be able to shoot, interfering with the flow of the fight. 2D games require decent air control, since you are constantly jumping and platforming. Here you have a nice air control of your jumps, but most intriguing is that your movement stops if you attack on air. In a janky indie game like this, not being able to save freely, forcing the bonfire checkpoint, is catastrophical. Multiple times the game simply bugged and no key worked, forcing me to quit and losing important progress. I could not stress this enough, never limit the saves of your game, always let the player save whenever. If your game is not a multimillion dollar project with plenty of quality testing, don't do it. The art is very good, the girls and their models look amazing. Unfortunately the animation is terrible and stiff, making each scene weird looking. The better would be just static images if your animation is this bad. This game looks more like a waste of great potential. It requires a significant amount of polishing for it to be good.

Note: ignore the complaints about translation issues, you can still play using the edited translation patch that isn't MTL. If you don't know how follow Arcadia's fix at 319 page

Story: 5/5
Characters, theme, world building, and the ENDING. All are awesome. A review won't do it justice, I've played almost every dark themed story focused H games in this site and this one takes one of the top spots.

Gameplay: 6/5
Best H game for me. Controls are easy to learn, hard to master. Multiple weapons to find your forte and game style. BGM and SFX are crisp and well made. Dev truly knows how to make your ears feel good.

Art & H Aspects: 5/5
-Really good. Voice acting are nice, some may complaint it's the same voice but too much is bad as well. This has enough voice to make every scene fresh and the voice actually reflects what's happening unlike other games whilst having the quality of the voice really PLEASING to hear.
-Gallery easily unlocked just by killing your enemy, no need to intentionally lose
- Animations are well made and smooth transitioning loops to ALL animations.

Conclusion: 6/5
The Greatest and undisputed grimdark H game out there so far in this site. It nails every aspect and more. Will recommend and support the dev for sure.

Overall if you like darker themed games, and you are a dark souls veteran this games for you.
I would rate this 5 stars if the translator wasn't very buggy, if you can stick muddling through Japanese like me its actually decently fun with some good animations.

Game is pretty good but not perfect. The game is heavily inspired by the souls genre (specifically bloodborne) and even calls itself a soulslike game on its dlsite description. There are some jank here and there, but this game was made by 1 person (probably according to some comments) which is the main reason the game took too long to finish/release. Currently the game is FINISHED/feature complete but some bugs here and there (very minor and not gamebreaking, one example is one beastiary/enemy list won't fill up even though you engaged/encountered with that enemy [the one below librarian and above the wooden horse]) The game is on the easier side with the enemy moves being easily predictable so you can dodge/block/parry easily. I completed the game on Hard mode (2nd to the hardest difficulty) and I only struggled against 2 bosses; the Final boss I struggled for a little bit and the succubus boss (that boss is fcking BS but doable/hardest boss in the game). My build is pure STR build (even though dex/agi weapons are better in this game.

Art is pretty good, and the H tags/ kinks are pretty much to my liking (not too hardcore/softcore). The translation is also alright (probably made by a fan, no way that translation is machine translated, probably edited). Combat is quite satisfying but certainly can be improved/better (so keep your expectations in check, it's very much serviceable but not top tier, this game is an indie H game so the quality may reflect that. Don't compare it to AAA games or dedicated indie games, since H games also has to focus on the H aspect and not purely gameplay aspect). I finished the game in 12 Hours and 16 minutes (exploring, looting, reading, fighting everything) on a Virgin playthrough (so that is possible but no story changes/gameplay effects).

TLDR: GOOD GAME TRY IT IF YOU LIKE SOULS GENRE/Dark theme games.
THE GAME POSTED IN OP download links is BROKEN (by the time of this comment) FOLLOW my Instructions in the thread [Page 319] (or the other commenters) on how to play the game with Fan translation, possible cheats in (can be enabled or ignored completely, I did not use it) and a working game.

Just a run-of-the-mill Metroidvania RPG with ugly and boring levels that look extremely similar. Gameplay-wise it's almost an exact copy of the game "Salt and Sanctuary".. It also shamelessly steals enemies, bosses and even boss names (e.g. Cleric Beast) from the FromSoftware games such as Bloodborne and doesn't even make up for it with its boring and rushed story.

It's a good thing that this game ends as quickly as it begins [It took me only 6 hours to finish the story, even though I spent a lot of time trying to see every hentai animation] because it's not even remotely fun as it keeps reminding you of games that are way better than itself such as Metroid, Castlevania or Bloodborne just to name a few and the whole time you keep on wishing to play one of those instead and begin to wonder why you even bothered downloading this Crapware game with bad controls and spending time on it.

My reason for that was of course adult content which is the only thing that makes this game somewhat unique. There is a unique hentai animation for practically every enemy in the game that feature a great variety of kinks such as Mind control and even Gore etc. and also a few traps with h animations. For those who can get off on simple animations of poorly drawn 2D anime girls getting railed as I could when I was in middleschool , that's perfect. For everyone else with higher standards, there are like 10 game-over animations in which there is actually dialogue ! Yes , the main character can actually speak and react to getting violated etc. instead of just moaning the same 4 moan audio files randomly like some kind of sex robot. It's a shame, cause a few of these game over animations and their art style are actually quite decent. If only the machine translation wasn't so ridiculously bad and the main character so soulless, it could've actually managed to give me a boner, but all in all , playing through this game was a waste of time.
