3 stars? On one of the best controlling metroidvanias ever made?
No, I think not.
Nightmare sphere is a classic side scrolling platformer/hack and slasher, with focus on the combat. You end up over time with amazing control over the main character, including something like five jumps and multiple dashes. I have never, before or since besides the sequel (nightmare sphere zero), seen such fluid movement which you completely control. The game is a joy just to move around.
The combat, thanks to the controls, is quite fun, and a few enemies are a challenge, though ultimately with so many movement options it boils down to skill with them. The H content is bit lacking, being essentially small 3dish sprite sex, but unusually you can give birth, and what's more the monster "babies" will do what you'd expect horny demon slug babies to do to mommy.
Its an interesting game, the sequel, despite never being finished, is even better, but this is still very good. I love the controls, the combat is cool, and the h-scenes are decent, if not exactly going to rock anyone's world. Five stars.
