VN - Ren'Py - No Saints Among Us: Kiss the Knife [V0.3] [OpenSky Games]

Review 0.2 fixed.

The game isn't long yet, but it's worthwhile to have a look at and has a lot of potential. Renders are good, both MC and her roommate are hot and their interactions are interesting, I'm looking forward to more content along these pathes.

Unlike what has been written in the comments I felt that the player had enough choices, although I didn't test everything. There is a choice to grab a book or not where the outcome is the same (ie the MC gets gropped) no matter what. But that seems to be a glitch and hopefully will be corrected in future versions (edit: it is in fact corrected now). Generally I think player agency is extremely important, ie that nothing *lewd" is forced on the player. The developer seems to agree, he mentioned that in one of his posts. Let's hope he continues in that direction.

Another review mentioned the awful dialogue. I disagree. It's not perfect, but didn't bother me at all. I also don't think that the MC looks too old. Maybe not like 20, but certainly not like in her 30s. Still better than too young, in my view.

Much improved! The English has been reworked and the story is really developing nicely. The plot twist really threw me and I look forward to seeing what happens next. Very nice!

Version 0.2 reviewed

A corruption story about a naive young college woman who lives with her roommate. The early story revolves around the MCs discovery that one of the students fucked her way onto the cheerleading squad, causing her best friend/roommate to be cut.

Without spoiling too much of the plot the MC slowly realizes that she enjoys being submissive and there are numerous spanking scenes to get the point across. The MC does have an ass worthy of spanking.


Pros:

1- This is an ass fetish game. There are numerous renders that focus on the female ass and spanking. I am an ass man, and I approve.

2- There are some very impressive renders with night lighting. Well done!

3- The female characters were pretty attractive. The male characters also looked good.

4- The player does get the option to choose what actions to take. I did not test every option but there was one option that did lead to a pretty intense submission scene. So your choices do matter, at least as far as unlocking scenes.

5- Some sex scenes were hurt by odd camera choices. However, there were some very nice oral sex renders and the dev did a great job of exploiting the MC's ass and legs. There are some very stimulating renders of her. The animation mechanic is very basic but gets the point across.

Cons:

1- The dialogue was poor. Numerous spelling errors and redundancies. The game has to be re-written if it is to be taken seriously.

2- The MC looked a lot older than the 20 something college student she was portraying. Perhaps it's a skin texture issue. Maybe ditch the bright red lipstick and the eye shadow. She's really cute, she just needs to be tweaked.

3- The dialogue box was too dark and spoiled a number of nice renders, especially during sex scenes. The option to reduce the transparency of the dialogue box should be implemented so the reader does not have to tap "H" just to see what's going on.

Final thoughts:

I really like the MC a lot and the relationship she has with Diana.

The main reason for the lower rating was for the dialogue. If the dev wants people to take this game seriously the dialogue has to be fixed. The story is good, but there are way too many sloppy errors for this game to be taken seriously.

This a four star game if the dialogue can be corrected. The foundation is there. It just needs to be tweaked.

Thought of giving a star for cute girls, but thats just not enough.

Complete waste of time. It is early, so it is possible to restart abd work this into something playable. For bow it us just aweful.
