VN - Unity - Not a Failure to Launch [v0.4] [NotAFailureToLaunch]

The game is much worse than the original. The graphics are immediately noticeable, the textures have lost their clarity, everything around is blurry, grainy and looks cheap. The characters' appearance has been redesigned for the worse. In the original, all the girls were pretty hot, even the main character was pretty innocent. In the new version, the female characters have lost their sexuality, and they also look older.
The story has lost its logical sequence and plot structure. In the original, we had pre-training for the first anal sex with Evelyn, we had a workout with Hannah. In the new version, Olivia fucks us almost immediately.
In the original, there was a map that, presumably, at some point would have given us the opportunity to choose the development of a relationship with a particular character. The new version is no longer a sandbox and the map is not needed. But for some reason, the developer moved it too. Now we periodically see a map with a pointer, which looks silly.
Why make a game on a new engine if you're not improving the game? Riddle.
I give one star for all the listed disadvantages and simply because I don't see any potential in the game.

Unity is bad, renders are more on the lower quality side and sadly it's just futa on male without real choices

making choices more impactful and including a choice to make the mc female instead would elevate the game

It's wonderful that the original game was saved from oblivion, but about the game itself, I more or less agree almost 100% with EdgeOfShadow: characters got downgraded badly, and overall, Unity sucks more and gives me several more troubles than Ren'py, especially the save and load options, the game basically mixes up things if I use 'load', and in general, Ren'py gives you several more small QoL things that Unity doesn't have. I only don't agree about the new content, since Maude IS new content. Also, a little internal walkthrough to know what scenes I'm gonna see or not see if I choose a specific option, would be appreciated. Something like "you choose this, you get outta this character's route/sex scene, but you get into this other character's route/sex scene"...

Not a Failure to Launch – absolute banger!
Loved every bit of the original. Super cool to see how the community picked it up and started making their own remakes — that alone shows how much people enjoy this. The concept’s fresh, the writing’s solid, and it’s got that charm a lot of other projects don’t. Big props to the dev and everyone keeping the spirit alive. Definitely worth checking out!

Straight up downgrade compared to the original, due to the change of game engine. Bugs like the config not saving, characters stuck on screen or inability to load from main menu (starting a new game and then loading a save worked though). As far as I could tell, there is no new content either.

Needs improvement. Seems slightly below the quality of the orginal.
Original assets are rougher than previous. In general textures are not as good. Still holding out hope it improves.
The new additions to the existing content are okay.... not the greatest but atleast this version is being worked on

Great to see this game being remade. It being on unity feels strange but it works. The new character added is very hot,
Hope this gets the support the old game got and more. Also hoping for more female x futa

A few bugs here and there, some really annoying, but its early so hopefully those gets fixed. Think the models also have a tad lower resolution, but that might be cus its ages since I played the original and I just remember wrong.

Got an annoying issue where if you load a save one of the models tends to get stuck in the middle of the screen until that character turns up in a new scene which sucks, but all is forgiven if the developer keeps this game going since the setup is great and its a shame the original got abandoned

This whole game needs polishing. From UI/ux to multiple save files accomodation, then random appearances of characters over a particular scene(which usually happens during dialogue skipping),etc.


And animation using unity will be better choice that renpy IMO.
