The Bordello: Calarel - Facial Preview



Here's one of the animated previews I'll be putting out for the project.
This was probably the hardest shot to work on so far, maybe the second hardest. The lighting is really unconventional and there's just a ton of simulation going on. Without the switch to Cycles this would have been a real horror show. It's fun to take on challenges like this though. Except for the simulation. I hate simulation.
Aside from lighting wide shots, working with direct sunlight is one of a handful of set-ups I'm still not that comfortable with. Using it head-on, instead of as a back light, is not recommended and especially difficult. All that being said I still might circle back around to it later and make some tweaks.

Mercy Turnaround

I have a passing interest in Overwatch at the moment so I've been making a few models for them. It's good sculpting practice, gives me something personalized to work with, and since I'm using my BG3 models as a base I end up with more body shapes to work with on that side of things. Plus I get to 'vogue' them a little bit.
Mercy gave me an opportunity to work on a more stylized female body, while keeping a traditional slim-thick look.

fuck, I hope its not truly a "passing interest", I wanna see Mercy getting railed by pharah with updated models. I still remember when he started with Overwatch, it'd be great to take another shot at it with some higher quality assets.

YES! Nyls recent Overwatch animations are god tier in quality. Would love to see a remake of the Pharah model, especially how good the Widowmaker one turned out. A double penetration threesome with both of them and Mercy would be amazing. :love:

There are a lot of muscular women in Overwatch so I wanted to distinguish Pharah a little bit by keeping her relatively slim while still giving her a strong core and perky posture. There are still plenty variants of muscular bodies that I need to practice.

Ana Turnaround



I wanted to practice sculpting older bodies so Ana felt like a good candidate. I made her a little younger and tried to give her more of a middle-aged look. These kinds of bodies are tough because you have to maintain the appeal but everything can't be too perfect. It works the other way as well; you have to show enough stretch and sag, but not too much.
Funny enough, MILF categories are incredibly popular in live action and in 2D. However, very few people try to reflect that body type in 3D. Perhaps the necessary sculpting is too much of a boundary, or the appeal of the category is more situational rather than physical. I have my doubts with the latter though, as if that were the case then younger actresses would be cast as MILFs and actresses like Ava Addams or Lisa Ann wouldn't enjoy such popularity.
