Genuinely a bafflingly basic and terrible game. I at least expected perhaps in-engine scenes to take advantage of the very blurry fake PS1 rendering style used, maybe give it some reason to stand out, but no, it's...low quality, rapid fire generic anime sex shots cut in in a little window. That's not even the playing it part. It uses tank controls, and awful, slow, 0 feedback attacks with clicking rapidly. I finally went through the "correct" throne to fight something I could kill, dealt with awful, copy pasted skeletons, then red armor guys, then big armor guys, then some big axe guy, then golem things, all with the same horrible stop and swing 2-4 times to kill. I found and opened a shortcut, and went ahead and tried a boss before using cheat engine. The boss immediately killed me in 2 hits, so I grabbed cheat engine to freeze the souls and boost stats. To my shock, the souls required is insane and exponential? I ended up freezing it at 90 million or something to get 40 or so total levels. This also didn't actually give me that crazy of a boost btw. I head back to the same boss, avoiding as many of the god awful enemies as possible, get his health to 0, and he freezes in place, no longer attacking, no options to interact, nothing happening. I humored the game, but that was vile.

Advertising as a souls-like

-Snorefest plot
-Intro looks like a compilation of possibly stolen art from the results of Google Images
-Has clunky tank controls
-No sprint
-unbalanced and incohesive delay between actions
-Too much stamina needed for "Dodging" and "attacking"
-ZERO movement when blocking
-AI slop art
-Game resolution looks like 480p blown up to fit your screen, and would make Bloodborne look like a 4K anti-aliasing work of art

Overall an affront and insult to all souls-likes
