HTML - Office Queen [v2.9] [Lady Developer]

Tl;Dr: Man, what a mediocre ending (I think it's an ending?)

This game initially seems like the same open world, real porn, html games you'll find here. Wander around, grind stats, sex, repeat. This game is different as it's mostly a visual novel in a practical sense. There's one way forward and you choose which flavor of corruption you get. I chose the good wife path if that matters.

Really what interested me with this game is the promise of a decent story. Unlike most games here, this one actually had a promising plot. The protagonists are on the back foot for most of the game and the antagonists actually have plans. There is victories, defeats, and character development, although it is mostly just the girl getting more corrupt.

The biggest problem with that is the ending. Minor spoilers if you care from here on out. You suddenly get to the ending where she becomes the office queen, which is for some reason a highly ceremonial role and your character is part of some important bloodline. It's a happy ending? Not sure, but it comes out of nowhere. Imagine if she suddenly became a jedi, that'd make as much sense.

The plot twist really is just to transition to the dev's other game which I find disappointing. I haven't played it yet but I'd rather the story merger would be more elegant. Also initially the writing quality wise is poor, with typos and such, but closer to the end it suddenly becomes AI writing which kind of peeved me.

Even after all that the game is still what it is. A decent story in a world of horrendous HTML slop and the gifs and porn amount are pretty good.

The game started well but the author doesn't know where he is going, trying to make other stories without completing the first one, making a too much passive character that change too quickly unrealistically

A pretty contrived plot with almost no focus. It's called "Office Queen", and yet you can't advance the plot without applying for a job at a restaurant, and eventually take multiple side jobs.
The thing that this game does best, is advertise how easy it is to slap some random gifs into a browser game, with almost no writing skill, minimal understanding of HTML, and still have it function.

I kinda like it, no tons of text yet its interesting to stop and read thru. Perhaps the blackmail in the office part could've been a bit slower or slightly more indepth but oh well. Taking a star for the corruption part, if you aren't corrupted you can miss scenes, theres just better way to do that and its not corruption stat

So far, the game has been really good, and now that the developer has confoirmed that the game is still going to receive updates, it makes me happy.

Hope that the criticism I've written on an earlier post a couple of weeks ago are going to be taken into account.

If not, the game will still be amazing regardless as it stance right now.

(3/7) Linear progression with minimal choice but at least a little content to speak of.

You play as a woman who is being blackmailed by her boss. It's a pretty standard scenario but there are some side stories that are also happening. You have to go through all of them to progress so it's not up to you what you want to see.

There is a bit of content with more to come but the game will remain a barely interactive erotic novel. Worth a read once, but nothing of particular distinction.

Review for version 2.0

This game is bad in pretty much every way there is. You get raped by 3 construction workers, and just go about your day. The character is so dumb you would think she was lobotomized. Choices really don't matter much, there are 2 paths only really. Staying loyal to the husband, just leads to him betting with the person you already told him was behind all this? Thats just so dumb I can't comprehend it.

I was wondering why the reviews were so bad, so I decided to give this game a shot. And, well... wow. So many people make these text-based games and seem to not know how to actually write. The whole story reads like it was written by a 13 year old who has never opened a book in their life. Scenes have hardly any detail and move at the speed of light.

This is a VN style, not to many choices and none meaningful as far as I can tell.
The story is mostly bad and poorly written. I don't recommend this at all.

I give it 1 star for creating something and 1 more because it mostly works at least until that last chapter. The time I wasted getting to the end I really wish I could have back.

Its a really good game and I hope it gets better in the future.

They are good image and is a little bit diffrent then other HTML games.

I give 5 stars because I think this games has potential.

The game presents you with choices that don't make a difference. I spent the entire game ignoring the husband, and still ended up being forced into scenes with him.

The rest of the game is just a collection of nonsensical scenarios, random porn gifs where the actress changes multiple times during a single scene, and completely broken English paired with bottom-tier writing.

That last part was, funnily enough, the best aspect of the game - the writing is so bad that it constantly makes you laugh. Here is an unedited example:

" So I was working out in park from past coupe of days and I met a boy Tyson there and he told me to come to his Gym so I just pruchased a membership there and tommorow he was helping me in strching and I saw a buklge under his oants that made me so excited and I just kissed him, I don't know what comes ibnto me but I was not able to resist it. "

The browser is showing me 6 spelling mistakes in that sentence alone - not counting grammar issues, random capitalization, and straight-up lunacies like "tommorow he was helping me".

Consider this the equivalent of a Z movie.

Nah, what ever route you play, good wife and corrupted wife, its always the same scenes and nothing really changes. The corruption path is mostly just a question, "you wanna see the following scene or not?". Even you chose the good wife route she will still get the corruption. Why make the players chose if there is no difference?

Also the gameplay is linear and pretty boring. You just scroll scroll scroll > click > scroll scroll scroll > click. The MC is pretty hard naive. If a guy tell her, suck my dick or wear more revealing clothes, she does that without questioning it, even you are on the most loyal route.

I give it 2 stars because this god awful writing made me laugh a couple of times.

Has a LOT of potential ... BUT .. there are near zero choices of consequence - it is not a game, its not even a create your own adventure novel type deal as you are basically told what to click and when so incredibly linear - real shame that its not branched out at all beyond this

This game accidentally falls into the category of "so bad, it's good." I like to imagine that Tommy Wiseau's female twin made this game.

While there are some positives to this project, the negatives outweigh them. There's issues with grammar, writing, coding, etc. But the writing is actually so bad in certain moments, that it literally makes me laugh out loud. The author wrote something different than what she intends to, which is so ridiculous that it becomes funny. It makes the characters seem like cartoons.

The game design is actually not bad, and neither is the story concept. But the execution struggles. Typos, bad grammar, unrealistic character behavior, and choices not being recognized results in a product that needs some serious attention from an editor. But if it does eventually receive that polish, it has the bones of a good game and could really shine.

One star for a bad game, a second star for a good concept, and a third star for laughing my ass off.

I'm enjoying what is a fun little entertainment.

The story zips along at a fast pace. The plot itself is bright and breezy, and there's pretty much zero grind. The clips are well selected and occur with high frequency.

The clips chosen don't limit themselves to using a specific actress for a specific MC or NPC. While this could have been a weird choice, the chosen clips portray feel and action instead of a specific character kind-of-doing-something-in-keeping, and it works well here.

There could tighter, more consistent writing, and the grammar needs work, but that's not a big problem as the game itself is short and action-packed.

Decent amount of content. The vast majority of it's a kinetic novel though with little to no sandbox or choices that seem to have any meaningful affect.

The main thing that grinds my gears is using pics of the "MC" that not only don't match the MC in the profile's hair color but not even her race, not only that but mixing and matching 3 different races and body types in one single event basically destroys any sort of immersion the author was (I'm assuming) aiming for.

Why does the developer actually not care about the player's decisions?
You have sex with your husband, but he pours drugs into your coffee because he was supposedly ignored?
You tell your husband that you were invited to a photo shoot, but the next day he's mad because he wasn't asked?
You build in a new character, but if you follow his path, you end up in a dead end in the very next slide.
I'm on day 7 and will delete the game.

If options are given to the player, they should be considered in the game. Otherwise, you can set up a linear sequence of click and image right away.
This is the mistake of most realporn games. Each person changes their appearance in the scenes, which was not given enough effort to look for halfway suitable images for the corresponding scenes.

I like the game, but just can't rate it higher than 2 stars atm. The reason is, that it gives an illusion of choice, but nothing really matters. Right at the start of the game, you are given the choice of having "fun" with the husband. If you don't, he will spike your coffee in the morning, because he wants you to loosen up. If you do have fun with him, he still spikes your drink, because how else will you be blackmailed in the next scene..... That just doesn't work for me and is lazy. If you can't be bothered to make two stories, don't give us choices. That being said, the game still has some hot scenes, which is why I give it 2 stars.
