VN - Ren'Py - Once Again [Ch.1] [Paraloop]

The renders in the beginning are horribly executed. And the lewd scenes yeah what should i say i don't want to crush this guy soul. But it's a no bueno for me

I didn't play this game much but what I saw was enough to stop. The first sex scene at the start of the game showcases what to expect from sex scenes going forward and I was not impressed. There's a couple of animations there and a dozen words total. The animations cut off entirely if you use auto-forward mode because there's no pause or dialogue going on simultaneously (or really any period), so you better play this game with at least one hand.

The plot and the writing seemed decent enough, with good English and a lawful / neutral / chaotic system for the dialogue. But If you're looking for an erotic game, and this is an opinion supported by other reviews, I suggest you move on.

This is a nice balanced game. Great girls that are unique without completely falling into the usual typical tropes. There isn't a one that I don't personally find at least a little appealing in her own way.

I had to mute the game for most of the time I spent with it but the soundtrack seems to have a lot more thought put into it then usual.

The story is interesting and somewhat confusing so far but, I like stories that keep me guessing. I'm especially impressed because I generally do not like stories with time travel elements, they're annoyingly messy and extremely prone to plot holes.

The MC himself is a pretty cool guy a little creepy looking in his flash back to when he was a kid though. He looked like a deepfake of his older self. I wonder if it was on purpose, because it was as funny as it was creepy lol.

The animations are kinda rough. I mean, they're populated by good looking models but you can see where the loop starts/ends and they're a bit short. I'm not to hung up on that though, either you got a game with amazing animations and bad story, average everything bad animations and good story usually and this one is more like average animations and great writing.

Far and away better then a typical KK game with default animations and default harem girls. And especially more appealing then most of the other more realistically rendered games around here.

Ch1 is a really solid start to what promises to be an entertaining story. The core plotline is solid with lots of potential, the characters well written and make you want to know more about them, and great artwork including a variety of hot girls.

Can't wait for Ch2.

I'll break the trend of 5-star bonanza this VN for some reason has gotten..

Have you ever found a game, that has a very high rating, and basically everhthing you read and hear about this game, is just how GREAT it is? And you feel stoked to try it out, thinking you're in for a really well made game, with great story, awesome renders, and just a general exceptional experience?
That's me, before I tried this one out for the first time earlier today.
I was excited, at the time I started playing, this VN had an average rating of 4.9 It has higher score than my personal top FIVE AVNs of all time (and I've played thousands). So how can I not be excited to try this...allegedly MASTERPIECE out?

Well, here we are. I've played thru the current available content, which is I assume both the prologue (maybe?) and Chapter 1.
And I gotta be honest, this is not even close to a masterpiece. The harsh truth is, this game bored the sh-t outta me.
This is yet another classic example of a game where certain people throw 5-star ratings around like candy. FFS people, FIVE stars is not the DEFAULT rating, and you then subtract for whatever negatives you feel about the game. Read wtf 5 star entails...sheesh.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion. The reviews on this forum wont (hopefully not) affect sales etc. It's more a "my fellow wankers, here's a game I wholeheartely recommend, because I give a 5, so expect GREATNESS".
Yet, again, this is SO far from greatness that anything over 3.5 stars is a blatent lie, or it's rated by people that haven't played *anything* in their life.

I can easily accept different opinions, we like what we like and all that. But again be damn STINGY with these 5 stars, in this case it lead to me 1. having way too high expectations 2. wasting way too much time on this sleeping pill.

Yes, this is a sleeping pill of a game. There's IIRC ONE actual sex scene (as in actual penetration) in the entire content. For a game that came out over a year ago. ONE f-ck scene. There's a thigh job, so if you wanna call that *sex* then fine, 2 sex scenes.
There's a BJ and HJ thrown in there somewhere too.

Going by the girls on the 'banner', I assume these are the 'main' girls. So it's clear these ones wont be 'bangable' anytime soon. And that is FINE. At least let the main girls have some buildup.

I suppose, if I were to spin this in a more positive direction, a lot, and I mean A LOT of devs uses "dreams" and "fantasies" to shoehorn in lewd scenes. So I get that balancing progression and lewd scenes might not be super easy to do. So for what it's worth, to throw something positive at this game, or the dev, is that, at least the lewd stuff here isn't dreams and fantasies. The lewd stuff actually happens for "real" - or at least that's my impression.
Still, not a fan of how the girls (except the 'main' (?) girls) throw themselves at the MC. Could be worse, it could be nothing but lewd dreams, so...yay? =)

Just very much dislike the whole "girl sees MC, instantly want to jump on his dick". Sure not true for 100% of the girls in this VN, but it's more common here than accepted.

It's difficult to 'please' everyone. One can only hope the dev carries on with his/their plan, and don't start throwing in stuff(or removing) that "supporters" wants. Those things never end well. I might not have a very high opinion of the game NOW, but I'll probably try the next update just to see if it gets more interesting, as I'm trying to reason that "still early on in the 'story' ".


Some of the ladies are pretty, I'll give the game THAT +. Not all of them. But I would say most of the females are rather cute, or in some rare cases, even beautiful.

There's supposedly a "story" here somewhere too. Other than the stuff you can read in the overview. MC dies or whatever, and gets a 2nd chance, and returns to life, but 1 year prior to his demise. So basically a timetravel, but it's only that one time. So that gives the MC a chance to perhaps fix some things and change whatever.

But mostly it's either the MC thinking to himself. Or having girls swooning around him. With some semi-lewd scenes thrown in just to fill the quota.

I felt nothing, for these lewd scenes. They were like less romantic, less interesting, than you paying for a $5 dollar wh*re who has STDs.
Almost all the 'ladies' here seems to be sluts. If they're not, then they're trying damn hard to be that token "cute ditzy girl".
A couple of the girls, thankfully are NOT throwing themselves at the MC. One being the 'roommate', and the landlady. I guess they're really his adoptive mom and sister. But there's NO mention EVER of them being mom and sister. Despite living with this family for so many years, he still refuses to call the milf "mom" or his adoptive sister , sister.
One could almost suspect the dev used the lure of "incest" in the first version of the game to pull in supporters - just to then drop it completely.
Oh and the dad (well adoptive father) is dead. And yes, this is only one of probably 50 tropes in this overrated VN.
There's several lines and "comebacks" that are literal copy/paste from popular games and movies/shows.
The game also tries its best at humor early on. Just falls flat.
Like most things in this VN, just feels FLAT.

So, almost all the ladies cant wait to jump on MC's dick. Except his adoptive mom and sister. Well his adoptive sister (Summer is her name) did however masturbate and calling out MC's name. So I guess she does want to jump on his dick too. So that leaves only the adoptive mom/landlady that hasn't shown any signs of wanting a piece of that magical dick.

Sure, I understand some people for whatever reason want to get the lewd scenes, and cares zero about buildup or if it even makes sense. Not only would I suggest you go watch a porno movie instead, but for those of you that want the sex (which there's VERY little of so far) to actually MEAN something in your VNs, this game is definitely NOT for you.
Not a single lewd scene in this VN, has any buildup, or any real emotions or ANYTHING. It's just thrown at you. Here's a chick, oh, she'll now give you a HJ. Done. Moving on.

There's an attempt at some mystery in the 'story'. Like how the MC all but faints whenever he sees, hears, or thinks about a certain girl named Winter. (yes the dev is very original with his naming, we have Winter. Summer and Autumn)

But again, this VN completely fails at hooking me in.
I found myself skipping a lot of yapping now and then, because I *honestly* just wanted this shit to END.

This is one of those times I wish I didnt use my brain and disrespected the people bothering to read my reviews, because I REALLY want to give this game a 2-star, just to lower the average score which is WAY too high.
But I would NEVER set a score just to 'polish' the average.
3-stars is however the absolute BEST I can with good concience give this trash. 2 stars would've felt a bit too low and too 'mean'. But I've seen terrible games, where everyone gives it like 1-2 stars, and then you have someone giving it 5 stars just because THEY thought the gave deserved a higher 'average'. Stop doing this people.

Tired of seeing every two or so review giving it 5 stars, combined with the "this one has potential". Do NOT rate a game based on what you THINK it will be in a million updates from now. Rate it for what we have on the table right now.
Could this become a 4-4.5 star VN down the road? Possibly. But I HIGHLY doubt it.
One thing is for damn sure though, this is FAR from a 5-star VN.

And to be fair, my MASSIVE disappointment in this VN, is the fault of all those 5-stars here. I went into this game, expecting greatness. That's kinda what FIVE f-cking stars is there for. So part of my dislike for this game, is previous reviewers' fault ..in a way.
So once again, think damn hard before you start rating something a 5 (or 1) star.


This one got lenghty, and one might say I didnt describe much what happens in the 'game'. But trust me, I HAVE told you almost everything you can expect as of Chapter 1 (plus prologue I think).
I could, on top of my head, list 20 better VNs - unfortunately I dont think we're allowed to suggest other games - plus it wouldn't be fair to this game.
Not that I personally care about this game anymore so f-ck fairness. BUT, I want my reviews to be honest, and in this case, hopefully save a few people from wasting time on this...thing.

Oh and btw, the only real penetration scene in the ENTIRE game so far, is literally within the firs tcouple of minutes of the game. After that, you have about an hour or so of 'gameplay' with ZERO f-cking. And the chick you banged early on? We don't get to see her even once after that - as of Chapter 1 update.

Want a game with meaningless cheap sex? Well this aint it, because there's barely any actual sex, again unless you count bj/hj as 'sex'. Even then it's rare.
Do you want a game with meaningful intimace, buildup towards it, make you feel *something* when they finally f-ck? Well here I can EASILY say, this game is NOT for you, either.


Would've given this a 2, but I'll compromise and give this one a 3-star. It's definitely not worth even a fraction higher than that.

Boring 'story'. Mostly boring characters. Not interesting. And it's a good sleeping pill if you have trouble sleeping. As this sh-t almost made me fall asleep.

Yet, I'll say this, it's not terrible. It's not great.
Do give it a try, you might very well like it. It's 3-star for me either way, and hopefully I lowered your expectations slightly. At least you wont be as disappointed as I was - see , silver lining and all that

And again just to point it out, I prefer a good story, with good build up to the sex. IF I wanted easy quick cheap pointless sex scenes, I would watch a porn movie, as should you. So for ME, this game just isn't good. It could definitely get better, and I hope it does. But as of *now* it's not worth the time.

Best of luck to the dev though, and I *DO* honestly hope this gets better down the road. My review might seem 'harsh'. But I'm honest. And I'll revise my review later on after a few more updates, if I feel the score needs to change. I stand by my 3-star. It's just mid at best. Agree, or disagree, really doesnt matter to me.

for just 1 chapter and nice renders. Story is OK but it's too early to judge. Looking forward for more from this Dev.

(Review of Ch. 1)

This is a very promising start for a new AVN. Despite the weird plot, it's all very well done including the characters and the writing, which keep you glued to the monitor. Sex is scarce for now but those animations are smooth and well directed. If anything, I'd suggest *not* to have so many damn good looking girls around, there's plenty of harem games out there already. We have met more than enough in Ch.1 so please, don't get too carried away.

PS. to the dev: better re-check the render of the stepmom in the last scene, her shoulder is badly deformed while she's sleeping.

Game is awesome. The characters are very hot and interesting. The plot is cool and the game is easy to play. I hope we get to see more futa content and that the bonus images are easier to unlock in the future.
Overall a great chapter 1 that shows this game's potential

This game is so promising I'm actually scared.

Pros:
1) Good premise. The MC gets a second chance to fix his life - but it isn't a time loop, he only has one try, making it meaningful.
2) Great MGs. I like them all already.
3) Specific girl: Autumn. Hot, quirky, and fun. Also, a bit mysterious.
4) Good visuals.
5) Writing's good too. That phone chat with Autumn is one of the most hilarious things I ever saw in an AVN.
6) Some QoL features. You see the points you get, you can disable trans content, and you can disable adult content altogether and play the game as a VN.

Cons:

1) I'm not a fan of the SGs. Not much of a problem considering I like the MGs, but it is what it is. Edit: Ch. 1 added more SGs, and those I liked.
2) Edit: Winter is severely lacking screentime for an MG, and what she has paints her in a bad light. Justice for Winter!

So, 5 stars, this game has insane potential and is obviously made with a lot of love. I really hope the devs can keep this level later on.

great start - enjoyed playing AND reading. absolutely gorgeous models. though the story itself isn't yet clear - it can play out great or just turn out to be a major f*ck-up like Red Lucy. i hope the has pretty solid idea on where this is all going and can deliver the quality product. all the best and thx for your job

My main reasons for this are:

Good Renders, Dev wants input from us and can take criticism.

Now that the story is out and seeing the result of his work.
I am even more invested as It's a great start.

Okay, I don't usually review first releases, but this VN seems to be one of those I like.

- I will never say no to a well written time travelling story.
- Although good graphics is not something you can surprise anyone with these days, this is not a reason to underestimate it. This game looks very nice.
- Easy to read dialogues between characters, sometimes funny, sometimes witty - just what I like.
- The variety of girls, who are different either in appearance and in personality. Another pro point for the game.
- The plot is yet to unfold, but there are already intriguing moments and mysteries, I hope that this will not be another adventure of a freshman in college. So far, I am interested.
- There are a few lewd scenes, so far everything is pretty standard and vanilla, but this is only the prologue.
- The soundtrack is quite pleasant, not distracting from action and fitting for the scenes.

So, the conclusion: the game is promising, I'm looking forward to the next episode, I definitely recommend it to everyone.
