VN - Ren'Py - Only I Have Skills [v1.00] [Orangelo]

Well made with promise for a few sequels. There are layers of events for possible replay to have a newer experience. This is a NSFW game in case anyone looking at it wasn't sure. I think it's admirable that it started off as a much shorter experience that grew over time to a nice interesting story that drew me in.

this is entirely text based with some sprites for the main "enemies". i dont know why people lie in review that sex scenes are so good when there is literally 0 graphics about it. all the graphics you see in the game is shown in the banner. standing pictures of individuals.

if it was advertised as text-based, fine, i guess. i just wouldn't download so i wouldn't waste my time.

but if anyone planned to look for a game with some CG or hot pictures representing the actions taken during sex scenes, then this is a waste of your time. the reason it's not 1/5 because i guess the writing is not bad. (although it has multiple grammar mistakes but it's readable)

This is a game about a bottom MC gets sexually violated by loads of hot Tops in may different ways.
If that's your thing, and you are overwhelmed by the sheer amount of gay VNs out there, "Only I Have Skills" definitely worth your time, as it does a great job on distinguishing itself from others.

First thing first, 99% of the time you have total control of whether a sex encounter happens or not (just like it's your choice to play this game),
Even the non-con encounters, it's your choice to go there.
Only exception that out of player's control (up to V0.18), is the first encounter right after you start the game, I guess that's dev sending the message of what to expect from this game.

The story itself is liner - as in most choices are lead to the same results, with a few lines' differences to acknowledge your choices.
But there are a few branching into different scenarios - since the game is liner, the Un-canon ones become One-Shots that meet the "Bad End" (which will be "auto-reset") sooner or later.
Especially so when It opens up quite a bit after you reach the free roaming part.
This means you can actually experience meaningfully different scenarios, but the game doesn't over-complicate itself that increase the development difficulty (and drag on forever like many similar establishments).

The sex scenes are so well-made, extremely hot and with very good pacing - there's no long blue-ball period nor too frequent that numb your sense, so one could technically came to every one of them during one sitting (ahem).

The writing also improves overtime noticeably: there are more and more flavoured text, and you don't feel the scenes repetitive even after you've seen so many of them.

The arts are remarkable: There're so many encounters, and most of them have very hot and standout sprites.

What best is there's no pointless painful Grind, you gain skills (which enable you additional scenes / dialogues) by choosing to engage in unique sex, not by repeatably doing something boring / or become mindless after few times.
(Did I mention you can totally skip the puzzles if you are not feeling it?)

Great game so far. If you're into well hung, muscular tops then you won't be disappointed. The protagonist is always the bottom but, as he discovers more of his powers, he is increasingly the one in charge of the sexual encounters he has, so he's not your typical submissive which is refreshing.

There isn't a ton of gameplay, though there are choices that matter and some puzzles to solve so its not a pure VN either.

Content wise, I played for a few hours without getting bored and without the game repeating itself (there's no grinding unless it's your butt on some guys crotch). Especially once you get to the second city there is literally a sexual encounter around every corner if you want it. The scenes are well written and long enough to get the job done (ahem).

The art is really good and my only complaint there is that I'd like more of it, especially some more art of the action taking place. Hopefully that will come in future updates. Either way I'll definitely be keeping an eye on how this game progresses.

This game is seriously underrated. There are so few gay Renpy games, particularly ones that strongly cater to the sub audience. It has a lot of sex so far which is good because many will string you along for hours without a whiff of the sweaty stuff.

Personally I really enjoyed the dungeon puzzle solving that comes in later. One issue is that early sex scenes are non-con and it's not really possible to avoid your character being raped (correct me if I'm wrong) That's not an issue for me as I enjoy that content but others vehemently don't, so an option to avoid it would be good for them.

It also has a lot of furry characters and most are bara esq. there's even some worldbuilding technobabble about why most people walk around shirtless with their insane physiques. Not my cup of tea but I got over both. Lastly, it's short at the moment, but the dev is hard at work so I hope we'll be seeing more content soon

In this game, the enemy will rape you till death. There are options but it always leads in the same direction. Yes, the option is useless here. 100% the enemy will rape you. The only good thing about this game is the art.

If you like playing as a subby bottom then this game delivers in spades. If not, well... go play something else for now. No CGs yet either, if that's a dealbreaker for you.

That being said, it's a pretty good time! The writing is solid and there's a fair bit of variation depending on your choices, so there's some replay value here too. The latest updates contain a dungeon with some exploration and puzzle elements, so it's becoming more of a "game" than most Ren'py games in the genre.

5 staring this to balance out the dumbass below who thinks all games should cater to their fetishes and their fetishes only. Non-con rape is a fetish that is clearly listed by the dev in the description. If you're not into that, don't play it, but don't review bomb just because it has a fetish you don't like.

As for my opinion, the character art is great, and the writing is pretty good as well.

Being raped from slime the first time you arrived in the game. It's very clear that you are a bitch in this world. You can't resist it, no option for it. You have the worst fate. WOW... No CG just boring writing, FOR NOW.
