Not expecting to get answers for this, but I cannot get permission to open apps as an admin on this mac. "You do not have permission to open the application, "insert game name here"

Either google how to use chmod via terminal or try permission fixer (see link).

I can't get .JAR files to open after I updated to Big Sur. I tried looking up a fix but it can't find a easy fix for a layman like me.

I have had some luck by right clicking on the application and choose "Show Package Contents" and browse to Content\MacOS and right click on the file in there and choose "open with" Terminal. It will ask you for your admin password to launch it. It has worked for a few apps I had issues with after the Big Sur update.
