Opinion Needed: Male Protagonist in Humorous Gay/Futanari Situations

Hey everyone!

I’m developing an adult-themed game that explores a variety of common fetishes and scenarios many players enjoy, ranging from straightforward erotica to humorous, unexpected twists. While the game primarily caters to a straight male audience, I’ve been experimenting with introducing some light gay or futanari/trap content—handled in a humorous or situational way.

For example, there's a character (a gay scientist in setting, gonna make him somehow girlish) will have sex events with main male protagonist, instead of usual player getting bj or player fked this scientist in the ass, i would like to turn the role around, a player will give npc a bj/ or getting pile drived in the ass. (of course due to plot needs)

I’m curious to hear what the community thinks about this:

• Do you think humor can make such scenarios more palatable for a straight male audience?
• Would this kind of content be a dealbreaker, or could it add to the game’s charm if handled well?
• How do you feel about mixing light gay content or futanari elements into a primarily straight-focused game?

I’d love to get your honest feedback, especially if you’ve seen similar themes in other games. Does it work? What should I watch out for to avoid alienating the audience?

I think if that's the game you want to make, then do so. But that kind of thing is a dealbreaker for many no matter how well written, or how funny it is. What would actually make it more palatable would be to make it optional, but if that's not what you're going for then that's fine to. Ultimately, you should do what you feel is right.

Warlock and Boobs makes it an optional part of the game, if you're looking for games with similar stuff.

Yeah, what insomni said, most people here who dont like gay scenes will bitch about It if not optional, no matter how well or funnily writen, tbh even If it were optional some will complain.
So do what you truly want.

#1 - No.
I really don't care how funny you make the scenes, the instant someone puts a dick inside the (straight) male MC, you are probably going to piss off most of straight laced dudes.
#2 - It would be a deal breaker for the really straight dudes.
If your target audience is straight guys, putting any kind of gay/trans/futa content is going to be an instant nope for them.
#3 - Personally I don't have a problem with most trans/futa/gay stuff, unless I am pretty much railroaded into bone town, I am pretty tolerant of things like that.

I played a game called Lunar's Chosen that blended it all pretty well for me. It wasn't all dommy, dick MUST go into the MC, and there was a choice of the MC either getting railed by some futa/trans character or not.
Another game that does it pretty well (so far) is Domination Mansion. It does have that dommy, dicks go into the male MC theme, however, the player has the option of coming out on top (not 'on top') of the scene. Winning a fight doesn't mean you get no porn and losing isn't the only way to 'see the porn'.

As others have said, if your game involves dicks going inside a male MC, you are probably going to alienate all of the straight laced dudes that might play the game. The moment they see 'balls touching' scenes they are going to nope out pretty much instantly.

Well, fetishes tend to be quite polarizing, however here are a few recomendations:

1º Know your public: If you want to appeal to straight males then you either go for futanari or the most feminine trap ever, male x male even if one of the partners is somewhat girlish isn't something that will appeal to them.

I would also recommend that said game should have more characters that are futanari or in those lines, so that your public can expect that kind of stuff, optimally what you want is to have publics that have within their tolerance said stuff. For example the game should make it obvious and heavily hinted that the MC may not be the only one fucking others, even if there was a way to truly be the only one fucking.

2º The reason why light gay doesn't work for a straight public is because the more masculine the character, the less appealing it becomes for said public, futanari and very feminine traps will already put a dent in the public you are gonna get, the further you do the more you leave the straight audience and attract a gay one.



Overall I do not recommend to make mandatory any stuff that could push your public away, there are games that work really well having all types of content, a clear example are Coc, Coc2 and Tits (corruption of champion 1 and 2 and trials in tainted space), but the main thing is that there is no forced content, you can be defeated in combat and raped but that's already avoidable, you just need to not lose.

I can't give more input without knowing anything else about the game. But overall depending on what is the game objective, core mechanics and fetishes stuff can be done one way or another, just don't surprise your players with scenes that goes beyond what the game concept and setting establishes.

I see, thx for the inputs.
Cos I was playing taffy tales, and I was pretty amazed how the story goes and art wirks between male character and his gay friend, when I was playing it I actually thought damn this is funny as fk for a porn game, so I thought maybe bit of gay content wasn’t so bad when it’s funny as hell.
But I guess it’s a total different scenario when it’s a male protagonist who is on the receiving end. I should rethink about the planned event then..
