I'm working on a game that's all about deepthroat blowjobs and throatpies.
I make porn with my girlfriend under the name ThroatslaveSoulmate and I wanted to use our videos for an adult videogame. Most of my game dev experience is with Ren'Py. I've released one Ren'Py game on Steam and itch.io many years ago and started many others throughout the years. None made it to a release worthy state, however. Nowadays I prefer to use Unreal Engine 5 because I just love working visually, with Blueprints. That rekindled my love with game dev and I feel like I'll actually release something again, working with UE5. Unreal Engine also handles videos pretty well, which is helpful.
The game in its current state would easily be possible in Ren'Py and I do love the quality of life features that come out of the box with it... I am considering a Ren'Py version but at the same time I also have plans for 3D elements that wouldn't be possible in it. Time will tell if I can get the 3D parts of the game to a satisfactory state and if they're worth the effort. Right now, during prototyping, I do prefer Unreal. It's just more fun for me.
I do have something playable to show right now. In the game you get presented with a clip from one of our scenes and you have 3-4 buttons in the bottom right that represent some of the actions that are happening in the clip. For example "Tongue" for tongue action during the blowjob, "Slow"/"Medium"/"Fast" for the pace she's sucking at, "Gagging", etc. and when you click on one of those actions/buttons you get sent to another clip that also features that blowjob action - and then you get to choose from a different set of options there, like maybe "Full Length" deepthroating, "Open Mouth" throating, etc. Every category has several clips and you get sent to them in a random fashion, so it pays to select them several times to unlock all scenes. When all scenes are unlocked you get access to the cumshot and, well... See for yourself!
I'd love for people to test this build and give me feedback. There's probably a lot I'm not aware of...
One thing I'd love to know is if the game runs at your monitor's current resolution (it should) or if it runs in something other than your desktop resolution on startup (I'd assume it might default to 1080p). Also, what happens on ultrawide monitors? I don't have one, so I couldn't test that properly. I fear that the layout of the game might be messed up on them. If anyone could try that out and maybe post a screenshot that would be amazing and very helpful.
There's no text yet (a bit of a lie, if you play it you'll see...) like in a visual novel, just straight up deepthroat porn. I'm considering writing a script that will give some context, and I want to make that optional, so that the people who want the context are happy and those who don't care to read anything are happy too. Because I certainly can be found in both camps depending on my mood. It alternates.
And in terms of feedback: just let me have whatever you think about it at this point!
