Ren'Py - OSC The Lust of Us [Ch.2] [Studio44]

The game is good. Not that there are any competition among Last of Us fanfics anyway ) Ellie model is beautiful. There are several minuses for me though:
    1) bad, cumbersome and unintuitive prologue
    2) considering the game is mostly linear anyway I woud get rid of choices, inventory and points system at all. It just makes the whole experience less fun and do nothing to add to it.
    3) pls get rid of the whole Abby and company plot line. Whenever it happens on the screen - it is always extremely boring, tbh. And nobody is interested in her and other girls anyway. Let 's be honest - there is only Ellie who is main attraction in that franchise. Pls do the game more Ellie focused - it makes the game much better!
    4) Ellie is too slutty from the beginning - making the whole "corruption" plot more or less pointless and not exciting. And when something sexual happens - it happens too fast without any build up and tension before and during it. All of that just cheapens the whole experience. Pls do add more Joe's thoughts about Ellie and more POV CGs with voyeur content maybe? Else Joe is perceived as some emotionless robot instead of a living man. There are other ideas how to make slice of life scenes more exciting as well. In addition to bath scenes how about toilet scenes? Washing clothes scenes? It's quite easy to make lot of hot content if man and women are living in a tiny room and can't easily and safely go out.
    5) Ellie should be hairy down there. In postapocalyptic world there is no time, means and need for girls to shave it - there is other priorities. And teens of her age are really hairy in real life. Seeing her doll-like pussy just makes it look like a porn movie instead of believable postapocalyptic setting.

This is not a game, it's a tech demo at best.

The writing is atrocious, barely English. The UI is an utter mess, in one scene where timing is of the essence, you can't see the button to press because it's RED TEXT on a RED BACKGROUND.
I'm not a game developer but this should just be common sense not to do that.
    Even the options are perplexing:
You can't turn off the same-y music loop via the "music" volume bar. Nope, you need to use the "Sound" bar. Makes sense, right?
And why is there is a "voice" volume bar in a game without voice acting?

The game play consists of a scene without any context, where you need to take the right objects, unless you get a game over.

But worst of all: the game is ridiculously short, too.
You get ONE janky sex-scene right at the start without any build-up or character introduction and then it's back to the menu. How has this been in development for ONE YEAR?

Game is in not a functional state. I can't even follow the tutorial or get pass day 1. It takes me out. By the time the game has enough momentum it will be taken down. And by then? Redoing all renders?

    Makes no sense.

Well this one should Remove the setting, and you have a very basic 'click the right place' type game.
I won't mince words, for once and simply pin out why this deserves two stars:

    - Illogical gameplay, you open a door and is presented with two choice of what to pick up, no you can't pick up both, and your choice matters!

    - Choice matters, the bad way - you didn't pick up the right item, you die.

    - Renders are decent, but uninspired and very low imagecount for scenes.

    - If this ever becomes good enough to get a large following, it will likely be shut down for obvious copyright issues, so its basically a non-starter.

Sorry to be so harsh, but this has a long way to go and even if it goes that long way, its doomed.

Good start (i start in day2 update), i wait more bigger and very very lewd update! :) (sharing, netorase, group, prostitution, maybe bestiari, etc..)
Maybe need a wt mod, but not necessary yet. And i like the new Abby. :D

I think the game has a lot of potential to be a good parody game of last of us. The animation is decent and this game has potential to rise to the top. I hope it's a bit of a slower burn/trainer game but it doesn't take too long for things to progress.

An interesting build up of characters relationship on a well know setting
Renders are good, and you need a few tries before seeing all what is to see in this first day.
    Anims are "standard"
The dev smartly avoided to give the age of his characters...

Nonsensical trial and error gameplay that relies way too much on player knowledge of the parody source material to give context to what is going on.
If you happen to not make the exactly right combination of choices (which have almost no rhyme or reason or context) you are kicked out to the start screen and forced to start over.
well no thanks, i'll just move on to the myriad of other porn games that don't have annoying game play elements.

Up till now, the game has very little progress, only a 5-minute gameplay and I doubt that this will actually go to anywhere. Ellie looks amazing and Abby looks disgusting as usual. That's pretty much it. Maybe come back on this game a year later if the dev still works on it

Looks promising for this sort of design.
Renders are definitly a high point.
Not very complicated mechanics behind the game.. Dialogue's are not that well written.
i would imagine i'd click through them at some point just to get to the scenes and i'd love to have some sort of an actual game in here..
Not much more to say at this point as it's 3 minute content for now.

Wasted 5 minutes of my life for this "game". Few choices with no hints. Characters and environment lack touch of originality. Eventually, I'll check again the game next year. For now I don't recommend it.

for the first release game looks amazing. but it was short. cant wait for more update's.

the game have good art and good story and gameplay is good too i don't no what other people talking in Reviews but i played v0.1 and the game wasn't that hard ( indeed game was little short but is was good ) and i hope dev don't use adult ellie in next update's young ellie is much better
  14. 5.00 star(s)

    hello121sucker

The story is infinitely better than TLOU2 (which is not that hard) and the art is amazing. I really hope it stays that way ad that it does not get abandoned.
The game part about the game is not that perfect though...

Don't waste ur time avoid this awfull garbage!
"Game" stats in a house & you have 2 "save ellie" Every time you make a move you have exactly 2 choises what to do or in which room 2 go, without any hint what you are supposed 2 do, i tried ~ 20 different "choices" with the same outcome every time she dead. WTF is this? How can anyone "dev" possible think thats a enjoyable experience?
  16. 1.00 star(s)

    ythp

Played v0.1. This game suffers from some huge quality of life problems. It has too many 'random' fail states that kick you out and you have to replay the entire thing. That's not a game design choice, it's just bad.
If you click a little too fast you miss some text, can't rewind .. and you're kicked back out to the main menu.
Quick time events where you don't even have time to read what's on the screen .. and you're back at the main menu.
Also, why does a second story floor look like a basement?

Definitely a better start than last of us part 2. Right now its just a short little introduction with a couple minor grammar mistakes but its still readable and the art is very well done. I'm honestly excited to see where this goes.
