This is an average VN, where depending on the choices you either stay a loser and submit to apex predator or man up and take all the girls for yourself. Right off the bat not interested in the former, but the latter doesn't feel rewarding at all, because: a) MC gets cheat abilities one of which makes all women around melt in his presence and the second one basically makes him omniscient as he's able to hear people's thoughts. Not only that, but he's also got succubus servant that has many more OP traits like teleport and magic; b) The antagonist becomes a non-threat too quickly. I don't know if the game is heading towards the finish line yet, but as of v0.5 he is already essentially rendered as defeated.

The writing is below average. It is proper English, but the prose is fairly primitive. I also can't take it seriously, because the writer frequently uses gen alpha brainrot slang, e.g.: "How am I gonna impregnate five girls? I have zero rizz!!"

As far as the characters go, MC is an introverted loner and does act as the clueless loser, which changes fairly quickly after he meets the succubus. The female cast is: the tender and caring middle-aged wife, the redhead, the submissive barista girl and the pink-haired tsundere. There is not much else to say about them really, since the writer doesn't elaborate further. There is no need to anyways as they all easily fall for the protagonist. The antagonist is your average NTR guy, very stereotypical, not much originality.

I don't know what the reviewers below are smoking, but the visuals are the usual AI slop, sure there are no 'six fingers' and other intrinsic AI artifacts but that's a low quality bar to uphold isn't it? There is nothing exceptional here that would be deserving of a praise. Character sprites are animated which is nice, but they're are bugged and would constantly flash when proceeding with text which is not so nice. Character sprites themselves are mediocre, backgrounds are mediocre, sex scenes are, you guessed it, also mediocre.

Half of the game is completely silent.

Conclusion: this is an OK adult visual novel, just don't set your expectations high, as there is nothing original and none of the qualities are outstanding.

Great Game and great plot around characters. All the characters are perfectly make. Just make one change to maya relationship status "in relation" instead of "single". And I really love that way. Overall perfect game for my test.

I don't often post or review games, mostly due to, not having time or just laziness (let's say both) but for some reason, reading through some of the comments about this game, I felt the urge to do so. Also, I'm not 1 to usually comment on things until it somewhat more polished/complete. I'm a big time gamer (like actual video games , not of the Adult variety) and during the early years of career I was a technical writer in a tech company. The reason I mention all that is to say that I've had many years of seeing products that are in incomplete states, (as we'd say as gamers, early access) and understand the difficulties of creating a product.

So my thoughts on ODB in the current v0.4 RE Build

I am personally a huge fan of this art style, I know there are other games using similar or the same style but regardless I'll just say

9/10 on visuals.
What I'd love to see in the future is smoother more fluid animations. (Heh ,ya I like puns, get over it)

7/10 on Plot/dialogue.
I'd say there isn't yet a lot of it, but considering the number of updates, I'm not surprised. Going back to why I put a short blurb about who I am, I can make the assumption that most devs are what we'd call Indie companies. Could be 2-3friends who have a passion for coding and VN games who have full time jobs outside of their passion project. They might be good coders, but not pro story tellers.
Anyways, so far I personally think there are good bones that could be used to build upon. A good ride is hopefully coming our way. ~_^b

In the Discussion Thread, there have been people complaining about misuse or lacking of certain tags such as the dreaded NTR. I posted a long rant, that I won't subject you to, (feel free to read it if you'd like on page 8) but I personally don't agree with their view point on it. Who knows exactly how the Dev will progress the story, but only time will tell. I'd ideally not want to see any NTR. It always gives me this shitty, tightening, feeling in my chest.

Reason (And I'll keep it short), because I see potential for something that I'll enjoy when completed, and that it will be something I would recommend to friends that enjoy this genre of games.

There is a lot to love here. The plot is a good "high level" idea that makes all the sexual interactions--even the inevitable porn logic--sensible (?). The rewrite of the first bit makes the story more cohesive. The graphics are well done. I know some hate AI; I hate bad AI and this is AI done well.

My hope is that the team will use new tools, like Wan 2.1, to produce high quality short videos in the way that Blurring The Walls has done with their rewrite. I think that'll be the new standard and it's not more taxing on GPUs than making an AI VN would require anyway.

I think this is excellent as of 0.4. If you're looking for NTR it's not that...at least not yet. It obviously still could be because several of the girls who will EVENTUALLY be in your harem are currently struggling with the asshole boss adn it's obviously not without it's NTR like feelings since you want them both too, but they're both already in relationships. They are fucking around on their current boyfriends, not you...and neither of them WANTS to be involved with Damon. Artwork is very good if you like AI (which i love). Plenty of sexy times even if only one scene currently is actual sex. Well...2, but one of them isn't MC. There is some Netori content in it as well if that's your kink...and i don't mean the 2 girls you're not currently involved with either. I honestly wouldn't change a thing about this right now. If i could rate out of 10 i'd give 9 because nothing is ever perfect, but 4/5 isn't enough either. I'm not sure aout dev time in the past, but there was only 2 months between 0.3 and 0.4. That's pretty damn quick for this site tbh.

Pretty solid start.

Positives:

The AI CG is better than most.

There are a number of choices to be made although there is little evidence of how impactful those choices will pan out in the long run.

Story was interesting enough that I read through it all without fast click/speed reading through it. It uses some common tropes, but the story is creative enough that it's a positive instead of a negative.

Negatives:

For the third update the game is short. At this rate it might be several months yet to feel like you're playing a game over an elongated intro.

Overall, I think it's worth your time to check out once and bookmark it for some time in the future.

*Plot is either written by AI from medieval century or story writer is high on ****

*MC has brain cells of a toddler, keeps asking stupid questions and his reactions to things in is life are plastic.
