I just kind of expected there to have some lingering bad feelings that the mc can hold onto rather than just forgetting about it or forcing it to be a somewhat normal ending(Yes i am still salty that i cannot be angry with ren and baxter)

Not disagreeing with you on that! OLNF gave a much bigger variety of options and emotions than OLBA, which was very obviously more written with a specific story in mind, and it just feels like it dropped the ball a bit especially in the latest moment. All we can do now is hope that the devs fix that, which I personally think is quite a big possibility :)

Ooooooh, I just thought Tamarack's personality shift in Step 2 was a gradual and natural consequence of growing up, but this makes it sound like there is an actual event that's going to happen to Tamarack and dramatically shift her personality while we're still in Step 1? a n x i e t y

OL2: Beta Build 1.4.17 (PC, Mac, Android)

It's time for the penultimate Step 1 beta! There's only one small part left, this build is most of the ending. We'll be saying goodbye to baby Ren and baby Baxter here ️
However, that's not everything that's happened. Shawna has done a lot this month. They completely updated the settings screen and added an entirely new system that tracks choices you've made in prior playthrough/shows which character made that choice!
I don't believe this will work with playthroughs that happened before the feature was added. It will apply to all future playthroughs.
Just turn it on in the new settings screen and then look for the little star next to choices (on Android you'll need to press and hold the choice to get the info since you can't hover over it with a mouse). It's amazing ✨


Now, you here playing the beta will see that stuff in action already, but we are still gonna make normal Patreon posts to explain these updated features to all supporters next month.

WOOOOOOOO hard to believe how long ive been following the development of this game already honestly, i remember getting sick of replaying the prologue in the very first betas lol. the fact that step 1 is basically over simultaneously feels way too fast and way too slow

yeah why is the end of step 1 so sad :cc my precious children are all miserable and theres nothing i can do. damn this game is too realistic
