No, because unless they really speed things up and started producing at least 2 moments per month instead of 1 moment per 2-3 months, there's no way this will come out somewhere around 2026 lol

Ehh, I don't like to be a downer when it comes to release dates or else it'll irritate me so I honestly don't like to think about it at all but Step 2 is nearly done being written, it's just the programming that Kab needs to start really focusing on. I thought she'd be done with the half moment stuff when starting Step 2, she said she'd do full moments eventually buuuut... yeah. I think it could happen. For release, the goal was put out the base game (free moments) and the step 1 + 2 dlc moments first which I think is very possible to do in the timeframe they want as long as she locks in with programming. The moment she gets to Step 3, all she has to do is make sure she finishes the base game and epilogue and she'll be on track cos they didn't have plans to post the step 3 dlc until later (they're trying to follow ol1's release and step 3 dlc didn't come out during the game release). IF anything, I think she'd just release Step 1 and Step 2 because she couldn't finish the Step 3 stuff that was supposed to be out (prologue, free 5 moments, epilogue) in time and then release Step 3 a month later or smth but I wouldn't be too upset personally because the timeframe for the WHOLE game (dlcs and all) to be out was through 2026 anyway (like the wedding dlc is supposed to be started on in early-mid 2026, the digital artbook is supposed to be out mid-late 2026, for example).
We'll be getting a Development Info hopefully at the start of next year so we'll see what they say.
MAYBE late 2026, but it's looking more like 2027. I know the Dev has been taking 2 days off vs working 7 days a week like in the first game, so that has slowed it down. We'll probably get more info sometime next month.

Maybe just the base game, yeah, but I can see the epilogue and additional DLCs spreading into 2027.
As someone who played through their last game from relatively early on in it's development through it's wedding, Baxter and Derek DLCs and this one from it's first update irregularly; probably not and you probably don't want it to bc it means they rushed their pace which so far has served them well, I think, bc I can see they've been consistently improving writing/story wise and while I can't speak to their pace/workload behind the scenes and I hate the waiting more than most I definitely prefer thinking they're taking their time and treating themselves and the game with the care they both deserve
