An actual great game with great art (no animation though)

The story is pretty cool, gameplay is nice and the development into different endings is very good to play through. It also has a gallery, though it's a bit clunky to me, but shows all scenes and even endings

PROS:
- Challenging, but thrilling gameplay (but only if you don't use any cheats)
- Intriguing storyline and side quests

- Weird keyboard layout
- Missable gallery content
- Game is completed, but there is still content missing.
- 'Hunger' doesn't add much to the game

Story:
The story is well written and properly thought trough. Even the side quests are at least interesting and aren't just "fillers" to increase the lenght of the game.

Gameplay:
As far as the gameplay goes, it stands pretty firm for a RPGM game. Combat is something to get used to. There are a lot of obstacles blocking your way, which makes manouvering using a keyboard a bit annoying. Using your mouse for movement might be the solution, but firing your gun isn't really easy then. Every NPC their own unique dialoge (sometimes even more than 1-2 lines), which makes you feel less lonely in the game.

Language/Grammar:
I have no comments on this, other than that it is well written.

Graphics:
The game itself is entirely pixelated, including the avatars in the dialogue boxes. Keeping the same style throughout the game makes it feel whole. The H-scenes are 2DCGs, which are neatly drawn.

Sound:
The addition of voice acting in ACT III was a nice touch.

Conclusion:
The Dystopian Project delivered a solid game, where you can easily spend a couple of hours in their distopian world. If you are into the fetishes stated in the tags, then I'd recommend this game. The game sometimes feels a bit raw, but I haven't found any game breaking bugs. Overall, it has the looks and feels of a proper game, apart from all the adult content. (4/5)

Nice game, liked it a lot, i didn't get that many sex scenes since i apparently payed my way through with the military. I found the "plant" part very challenging, i am now on in the university, and i find this very challenging.

Another good game. The story is interesting in terms of content. The scenes are great but not many. And you can only reach most of them with rapes or endings. Mechanics and gameplay are good. Some dialogues are too long and unnecessary. but it's still a game you have to play in this category.

From story to gameplay to overall smut and sexy scenes, this game is the holy grail. Literally could not find a thing to not like about this game, give it a try, I BEG of you, I didn't even cum, I arrived.

Really like the top notch effort that went into this game from a writing and game design perspective. It could use a little more variety for repeat encounters with the same enemies, but that is my only complaint. If you ever got a surprising erection playing Resident Evil or Silent Hill then this game is for you!

is a good game, gameplay and plot keeps you interested on it.
The sex scenes are almost all rape so if you arent into it there isnt much to watch, as it was in my case. The ammo is actually rather common to find after a while but at first is better to use melee when posible.

It's a pretty good game overall, decent environments, interesting storyline, and a fun, but not overbearing scavenging system.
However, it really lacks in the 'porn' department, there aren't many scenes, and they were mediocre, in my opinion. The game has 6 endings total, you can see them all in one playthrough provided you find everything and save before the story branches.

I didn't like the porn material it had to offer, not just because of lack of quantity, but also because majority of the scenes were 'generic'. It's still a 2/5 cause the game itself was acceptable, dark areas can suck a dick, though.

To elaborate on why I found the porn material boring, there are 3 consensual scenes in the game, 4 if you pick a certain option at the start (Though, that one feels a bit more 'forced' than consensual). The rest of the scenes can be summed up as "Oh no I'm being raped by X" Which turns into "Oh yes! I'm being fucked by X!" after a couple of hours.

Good story, good artstyle, good sprites, interesting map and world, interesting characters. Gameplay is a bit repetitive but fine, this could have been a solid adult zombie game but... there's almost no adult content...

The corruption is underwhelming, a lot of sex scenes are game over rape scenes or just traps that also kill you, this type of setting and world could offer a lot of possibilities for lewd scenes and sexual dialogue, but it just... doesn't....

They should have made this a standard game with no porn, just remove the hentai, add more exploration besides thoses small sections in the beginning and you would have a very good rpgm zombie game.

I am half and half on this game honestly as a zombie rpg maker game it was actually pretty good I enjoyed it. (Not blow your mind good but good.) As for any h-scenes I felt they were okay. I felt like they were often just repeating themselves with re-texturing whatever they were putting in the scene switching monsters but not really making it different. I think that would probably be the biggest thing that took points for me you gotta be able to make scenes different and not just replace the enemies.

I bought this game on steam bcs i like this art. It has own style. And tbh i like this style. But game boring. nope BORING!> And even BOOORING. I drop it after subway and refund the game. There is no parody, there is no humour, but if take it seriously it has a few illogic that ruin all atmosphere.

One of the best adult games ive played, lots of choice, good content, fun to play. Took a liking to the main char, the park bit at night is a bit too dark imo but still good. I wish that more of the game over scenes had unique images to accompany them. Like in the aforementioned level I was attacked, it showed a screen then the game over scene showed the same one.

Been playing this one for 3 days.
I liked it a lot.
It is an actual game and almost complete.
Best features:
- Good Storytelling.
- Entertaining gameplay and mechanics.
- Cheats within game options.
- Good terror factor.
- Good art.
- Endings are really good, but post ending events are not implemeted yet.

Things i don't liked:
- Player gets stunned for a little time after shooting bullets. This is mortal at fighting fast enemies.

In order to be a more complete experience, this game needs more h-events and animations.

This is great af. The art still is wonderful. The story and sex of the game intertwine nicely and make for awesome. Take out the pornographic content and you've got yourself a great show story. I began following this game several versions earlier and i can tell you that with each new update there was some great done. i encountered absolutely no bugs, except when loading save files from earlier versions. i really do hope more games like this are released. This Was Perfection.

I like that the game has complete features and artstyle is consistent IMO. A unique survival makes a fresh entry to sex games which u feel every resources and actions players take count. But the level design is not good enough for me as it is more annoying than difficult and inventory system not convenient enough for example adding magazines to ammo requires many clicks as many times as the amount of magazines the player has.

Finished the game with cheats that I used around the middle of the game.

Cons
Dead Ends
You might take a step into a door and get yourself killed as there are no warning before you enter. There are several doors that acts like a trap. This requires you to non-stop save your progress before you do something.

Flashlight Mechanic
In some areas you will have to navigate through the area using your flashlight as the environment is dark for story and atmospheric reasons. The problem is it is literally ''dark''. This made it harder for me to complete the objectives. Some individuals might like it as it spices things up but it affected my gameplay experince in a bad way. I wish it never existed but I appreciate the devs effort to bring versatility to the game.

The lack of fap-worthy material quantity
At the end of the game I wasn't satisfied with the numbers of total H-scenes in the game. The ones you will see the most will be those when you lose the fight to an enemy. I wish there was more characters that would exploit the situation of our protagonist's despair in a world that is on the brink of ruin.

A bit challenging for an adult game
I tried to avoid using cheats but at some certain point it was almost impossible for me to advance in the game. There is a loot system and you have to manage your resources(bullet, food, painkillers, weapons) carefully.
Even though I always tried to avoid conflicting with my enemies to save munition I had to enable cheats. Definetely suggested even if you are good at managing your resources. It helps you concentrate on more important things than survivability. Thankfully , dev actually counted for us to use it. I probably wouldn't bother continuing if cheats wasn't implemented.

Some key materials are utilizable
There are two materials that suffers from this problem; crowbar and bleach. Crowbar is essential to break barricades or open doors, bleach is useful to dissolve heavy plants and corpses. How is this a problem ? For example there is a door that I must open but it is barricaded and I can only remove the obstacles by using crowbar. Guess what ? I consumed/broke it in a fight and there is no way of retrieving it back unless you reload a previous save file. The game should have warned you that will need this item soon or been generous with the amounts you have or prevented you from using them if it will be useful in the future.

Verdict
It was an enjoyable experience with easily-solveable flaws. The main reason people play this game was supressed by story and gameplay elements. I consider it basically ''good''. No more or less. Definetely recommended with the advice of don't have high hopes. 4/5

Overgrown: Genesis is a confused title. As an action RPGM game, it's pretty good! The story and writing are excellent, the art is above average. Sound is repetitive but it gets the job done. If you take away all of the adult aspects here, this is a very solid, albeit it predictable, zombie/apocalypse RPGM game.

However, the problems for me lie with the "adult" (porn) aspects to this game. To me, they feel like an after thought. You, as Juno, the busty pink-haired protagonist, never fuck for pleasure. Your only sex with fellow humans comes from exploitation or rape. In the apocalypse setting of this game, it makes sense that those things would happen, yes, but it gets tiresome. The only other sexual content comes again, from more rape, but from zombies or boss monsters. Neither of these things are enjoyable in the slightest to me, and honestly, it just felt uncomfortable and annoying, as I knew if I was seeing an H-scene, it was most likely to be followed by an instant Game Over screen.

This game is simply confused. It starts out strong in the first area where it makes sense for Juno to suck someone's cock for forged documents. You don't get this option again until you connect with the military later, but by that point it just, again, feels really forced and not even necessary. But the sex stuff feels added in past this point, taking a huge backseat the main story line and plot. However if I wanted zombie story lines, I'd play Resident Evil. The real reason I'm playing this game is to see Juno whoring herself out to survive because she has no other choice.

All in all, this game is just OK. It's not a game you'll be able to cum to, and it's not satisfying enough to replay it once it's beaten. I got one ending and after the cheap final boss and ultra-tedious "dark" rooms, I'm just over it.

Only complaint I have about the game and it's endings is you don't get the chance to become a Dryad yourself.
Everything else is great. Played it with cheats and without. Loved the challange and seeing what ending I could get on my own.
Glad they implimented that you could check out all the endings without having to playthrough over and overto get them.

Obviously with cheats I got the best ending.

Nice survival adventure. Game is atmospheric and interesting, its have a good storytelling,and skipable sex scenes (most of them not bad, those that are not with monsters, here is good for us a skip option). All of this for RPG Maker of course) Dark missions a bit annoying.
