TL;DR:
This is a great game with replay value (3-4 times) for all the endings. The art might not be as ideal as in everyone's eyes, but it is fairly good in the western department (if you only consider western adult games available and only those with hand-drawn arts but not with pre-made/pre-available modeling softwares, definitely talking about those 3D art games using HS or whatever, this should easily be some of the finest). Limited VA but consider that as a bonus. Frankly, the one last thing I have to say: if you are not an experienced ARPG gamer nor a player who can play blindly with confidence, you are likely to take a hit from the beginning for some time.
Pros:
1. Fine western art that is much better than most titles.
2. Zero grinding and actions (not fucking/sex) all around (but yeah, if you fail in the action department, you will get MC raped...still actions all around?)
3. Okay music
4. Simplistic plot with fair amount of variations in endings
5. Simple controls
6. Cheat function ready for players who are not experienced enough to handle the tough start.
Cons:
1. This is a serious issue: the lighting setting for stages using flashlight...I understand how realistic they are trying to simulate, but not everyone is accomodating to that nearly impossible blindness in total darkness (the crawlers are okay, the dogs in the park...that is the most brutal level so far in the adult game department). I am wondering if there is anyone making it that far without using cheat and save in those stages. It's hard to reserve batteries too...but yeah, still challenging and enjoyable I guess.
2. Trying to do a blind run without saving at all is nearly impossible...the 1st game-over point has a paper warning you, the rest...WHAT'S BEHIND DOOR NUMBER 2? Crap, Juno got swarmed over and insta-sex'd-to-death. 1 hr gone and that's my 1st play experience...if there is a warning for the rest of swarming points, that would be great. This will be a challenging and fun adult ARPG with all the cool elements of a survival horror genre.
3. There is a possible plot left undiscovered. What if Juno gets infected and goes on infecting others? I managed to get 10 Infection Points with enough items to hang onto Morale Points (the park and the dogs...is a painful combo, -25 Morale and +2 Infection each time; got 2 Painkiller up to this point by now; 3rd run). So Juno is at max infection and walking (haven't used the bed till my 5th death and found out it is possible to die from high infection). Maybe a possible new route where Juno goes on infecting spree and eventually turns into a Dryad, then we get to play as Dryad and work our way to destroy humanity. How about that?
4. Possible Hard Mode for more hardcore players like no save but only checkpoints etc.? Gives better replay value too for archievers.
Honest Review:
This is a must-buy (2nd time putting this on a review) for anyone who wants a little bit more challenging adult game. It's 2D ARPG using simple mechanism, but it can be hard for total beginners who have no experience in this kind of survival horror.
The art, the music, the VA (nearly 3 lines or so), the plot and variations in endings all make this game a hard solid 4-Star. Hand-drawn art means they are hiring actual artists instead of using HS or similar products to re-create scenes using the lowest cost possible. The plot is simple, yet creating variations in endings for a nearly linear game is a delight.
There is really nothing to complain or bones to pick. If you are up for a non-grinding ARPG that is challenging (only in the action department), this is a simple challenge of your liking. Oh yeah, no puzzles to solve, or cases to close...it's not a Zelda, just a straightforward top-down survival shooter. If you like to be Sherlock, go play Nancy Drew or L.A. Noire. Treat it like Super Meatboy but with sex scenes.
And yeah, it covers quite a number of fetishes also (no BDSM, slime or footjob etc.), so it gives everyone something to fap for (on the average scale).
