in all honesty, all soul games I've played are like that to some extent.. so it's not a wonderful thing necessarily, but I can deal with it just fine
my only real complaint is this: no one knows or has a list of all weapons you can find and/or where they are located.. I get so annoyed when i tried different people's save they uploaded to test stuff for myself and I find out they have weapons I never found or knew existed..
it's a clusterfuck honestly.. this save file would have guns and stuff.. and another save file would have gloves or sticks.. etc.. all different..
and I don't know if any one person here has ever found all the weapons even lol
Not a complete list, but what i found so far, we may extend it. (I do not know where i found them, but i will guestimate the best I remember).
Many of the weapons you get as the story progresses automatically if you play through the game level by level.
*Kick* [default]
*Punch* [maybe also default weapon]
*Dagger* (it is a small dagger) [bell of ryona extra level, turn around on enter]
*Pistol Blade* (a purple pistol and a black blade attached to it like a bayonet) [somewhere in the last section when the white robots first used the pistol-blade ??]
*Gauntlet* (huge red glowes, like the rocket puncher) [probably got somewhere around the rocket punch boss ??]
*Golden Pistol* (a revolver) [the russion rulet minigame extra map,when you win, or when you get a lot of points or something]
*Guard sword* (a sword with a crossguard) [??]
*Goblin sword* (curved sword with spikes and poison effect) [During the goblin boss fight, you have to do some tricky mechanism with the 4 statues so the sword got released]
*Hacking knife* (a blue short dagger with some effect i am uncurtain about) [the last level you get it automatically]
*Metal bat* (a metal bat) [on one of the robot levels when you jump down to the trash compactor level with spinning huge spiked things. It is a huge dumpster area, so you have to look around a bit]
