The author always does in PDF. (see the official website). And why do not do in PDF?
If you need to extract images, and you do not know how, then ask this question on the Internet. There are many ways to do this.

Asking this question on the internet is precisely what I did. And pdf sucks for comics, CDisplay is better.

The extra images are just bonus materials... extra images but no text. You're not missing out on anything. I have them, literally deleted because they sucked so bad w/out text or story

If you need to extract images, and you do not know how, then ask this question on the Internet. There are many ways to do this.

They don't use simply Images, so extraction is pointless.

They use a combination of Background image and "Comments" (when you later add seperate text to a prior finished PDF page, it basically counts as a "comment" - not to confuse with the sticky-notes)

So when you Extract, you get Textless images
Because you ultimately only extract the images, not the later added comment overlay layer

Besides Buffy series and Blackmaled series, I have yet to find a Gonzo that actually uses the Images-only Method
[Taboo] gets that - which is why that one always uses Images-only, doesn't matter if post-merge into Gonzo group or not
