VN - Ren'Py - Completed - Pandora's Box [v1.0] [Void Star]

TLDR If you like cheating/cuckolding some scenes are quite good and written well enough, i recommend it. If you like a interesting story with choices and a well written plot and characters i don't recommend it.

This game had potential in the first half. The story revolves around the MC's best friend trying to steal his girl + a few other characters that could make for an interesting cast (the fat ugly bastard, the old ugly bastard, the pervert, the swinging couple, the black guy, the lesbian). Unfortunately the story completely unravels and too many unnecessary characters are introduced that only steal scenes from the main ones. There are 3 women whom the MC can romance which i think shouldn't have been added as they are just bloat, and in the end the game becomes a dumb and rushed thriller. All side endings aside maybe from 3 are bad and rushed (just a few slides), and the main ending is very unsatisfying (i guess it leads to the 2nd game).
The whole system with submission and corruption points is broken and stupid, it's better to ignore it and use a save editor to add points if the option is greyed out. Also there are way too many times when the MC is forced to be "raped" by women, even though where could very easily be an option to say no. In the end i think the male MC can cheat more than his gf, which doesn't make any sense in a game like this. As for the times you can say no, most of the submission points are gained by saying yes. You basically have to cheat on your gf to become more submissive yo her, which goes to show how stupid it is.
Still, some sex scenes are hot and well written, the models are good, though the animations not so much. The sex scenes are the only reason that i give it 3, otherwise it would be 2 or less.
Also i suggest you save before any sex scene that you want to see again, as the gallery doesn't let you see the dialogue.

The story is ridiculous and the stat system is really bad. The game gives you binary choices that either increase your submission or corruption, but if you choose to not go with that particular choice then you will find yourself locked out of everything. Why play a porn game just to skip all the porn? Probably could have made this just a kinetic novel. The models are good though.

You know what tag is not present on this one? A very important one they left off, The interacial tag that goes along with all the NTR you will be watching. Sad they make the MC into such an unlikeable simp as well. He gets some on the side but dude is not allowed to actually have a pair.

I like the games by this developer, I think I've played almost all of them and one of the ones I liked the most was one with the protagonist who rides a ship there, my only criticism of his games are the scenes since I find his scenes very simple and being just a video that repeats itself from other angles or positions, if it's not possible to make animated scenes they could make scenes in slides with different angles like some developers do.

Shockingly good. Super happy to have discovered this title, enjoyable playthrough multiple path and endings, very likable characters and well written. Like most NTR games the rating suffers from the "I hate NTR" crowd who can't read tags before they start playing a VN.

This dev is completed and I'm still going to give the dev some loot if possible I like this VN that much.

I am giving this game a good review but I do question the judgement of the developer, overall.

The selling point of the game is a young couple trying to make their way in the big city, and a number of interactions that can lead to the boyfriend becoming a submissive wimp and the girlfriend a depraved bitch. And this is good! It feels decently written and gradual, their relationships have ups and downs. The femdom and NTR content is hot and a great payoff as it lies up my street. I would have liked more of it! Also, I think the model for the girlfriend is really gorgeous, memorably so.

A minor downside is that the cast of supporting characters feel strangely handled. They are just present enough to steal time away from the main couple but not very deeply developed themselves. It feels confused.

In conclusion, its a hot corruption VN with a hot girlfriend and some NTR, which I like. Recommend.

PS . However, I am not sure how much other good stuff will come out of the developer. The sequel has gone in a very strange direction, downplaying the strengths of this game - seperating the original couple, emphasising a large cast of padding characters. Not sure if this is to try to appease people who don't like the NTR relationship or just to pad the game. I was excited to see the future of the main couple's relationship in the next game. Ah well.

An interesting game for the lovers of girl corruption AND MC cuckhold. If that AND bothers you better choose another game

It seems that the dev has a fetish for pircing which I do not really mind as it
change the general girl type. The other girls we get to interact with are also nice and desirable.


Story
Nothing new with the story as the same concept is present in few other games: happy couple start a new life and little by little the girl is whore down. Something I did not liked is the submissivity on which the MC is forced on: I would had apreciate more if for the MC a route of dominate/be submissive was present so everyone could enjoy MC interaction with the girls from a dominant/submissive position. Generally there is a sense that the choises do not matter that much as the story is driven in one specific direction.

Gameplay
The game present the day from the perspective of the MC and of his girlfriend but it swich from one to another in a hectic way: I would apreciate more to be first his day and after that her day. The system of corruption&submissive is interesting but poorly implemented. If you forget to refuse the sex on they 3 with MC then all the other options for corruptions mostly become grayed out. Also there is a useless connection between corruption and lesbian content and submissive and some sex scenes that the MC can have. Animations are quite basic.

It's fine. Not great, not terrible.

- Male models are generally bad. It's understandable that most people will care more about female models but I never understand why some devs use near-objectively ugly male models even when it doesn't fit the character (a homeless or old dude for example)

-- The point system is balanced very strangely. If you don't make the female MC a completely out of control slut/prostitute then you will not have enough "corruption" to do a relatively vanilla lesbian scene. Seriously, she needs less corruption to be a drugged out glory hole prostitute than to have a lesbian experience with her best friend. Similarly, if you don't make the male MC a completely submissive cuck then you can't do a harem-type playthrough because apparently you need ever-increasing "submission" to decide to cheat on the girlfriend. It just makes no sense and feels half baked. If a system like this is going to be implemented then there needs to be several different stats (for each character) that all work completely independently from each other to determine whether or not you can do something, with crossover only when it makes sense. For example, the female could have had a corruption stat, a lesbian stat and a cuckquean stat. The male could have had a corruption stat, a submission/dominance stat and a cuckold stat. Would make for much better routes.

Pandora's Box has really good renders and animations. Not only does it have better graphics than a lot of the VN games that I've tried but it also has a great story. So far even with how good Pandora's Box is the sequel Pandora's Box 2 is even better with more characters and a bigger story. I can't wait to see how much more Void Star releases.

Tbh not sure why this game has choices...if you skip over 1 or 2 choices at the start you dont have enough corruption and submission to choose the corrupt or submissive choice for the next like 10 choices, might as well just say "you're gonna be maximum submissive and she's gonna maximum corrupt, else not much is gonna happen. Other then that the characters look good enough, the writing is decent and things are pretty much standard for these kind of cheating-corruption style games, worth a look as long as you like corruption games

Completed Version, 1.0. This is a female MC, and Male MC game. It has NTR from both perspectives i.e. that both MC/FMC cheat on the other significant other without the other knowing, and at times become aware, or catch them depending on some choices.

Cuck stuff, some, but depending on choices it can be avoided.

This is a tough one to nail down in its genre, I like cheating games, and don't want any cuck stuff, so I was OK with this one.

FMC, is cute in a non typical way. Art is really good. She gets going pretty fast as she is a pretty horny lady. Pretty easy to collect "Corruption" points and have her move along from one dick or lesbian encounter.

MC - the dude is kinda basic, no monster cock, but a pretty nice guy who makes a few mistakes and has lots of ladies that want to play around with him.

The guy MC gets "Submission" points - which really gives you cuck vibes as he starts to rack up these points, and thats where my dislike for the point system and where it seemed to be going, it put me on guard - oh crap he is gonna what someone rail his girlfriend, he is gonna like it, and get humiliated etc etc., not my thing. No not really, some of those options are in there, but easily avoidable and you really don't miss much of the content.

The male MC gets submission points for ..wait..what? Choosing to cheat on the FMC with her mom. Banging another chick, giving a creampie to another...

I would give this game another star if it simply renamed the "Submission" points to "Corruption" points for the boyfriend, because that is what they are. He is corrupted into cheating on his girlfriend, and he does so frequently. Some of the endings have him happily married to another LI and her having his baby, and ex-girlfriend is off somewhere getting gangbanged.

The FMC is kinda messed up and has some crackers loose. Because some of this doesn't even follow porn logic and gets frustrating to the player because there is no acknowledgment by the FMC that "OK, this makes no sense, but I am a twisted evil bitch and I want it to make sense in my brain, so here it goes."


The Dev is obviously pushing the player towards the boyfriend getting cucked, but provide paths out, and boyfriend is getting lucky everywhere else.

I played for about 4 different endings, left rather confused. Got a report at the end of one ending that seemed like it was the "true" ending to port over to Part 2 which is out already.

Game would have been much better if Submission points were just called Corruption points, drop the push towards cuck (its a minor part) and focus on the cheating, and perhaps getting caught. (Which happens to the BF, not to the Girlfriend).

In my opinion this game is quite good.
The characters are bit generic and not the most sexiest design, but the story and plot is quite interesting. Renders and CGs are really high quality and you can immerse in the game, as well as explore a lot of fetishes and kinks as the game story develops.

Slow corruption is where the game shines, as there is plenty of content and progression in the game. The MC does not jump straight away into ridiculous things, but rather slowly builds up to them. With every decision you make the character will slowly convert into doing more and feeling that is normal.

Animations are poor quality and makes you stuck to see repetitive action for a bit, till you can progress through the story. Each decision can also unlock different scene, so there is quite a bit to explore.

Overall enjoyed this game, as it felt as an actually story being told and slowly progressing through the game, which had good endings defined as well, compared to a lot of games this definitely deserves a good rating with small quality fixes it could be excellent game.

Interesting story that deserves 5 stars but the Nadia character is so toxic a character it put me off. Eugene is a likeable character, his heart is in the right place, he just makes poor decisions. The endings are great as well as the art work.

Conclusion:
I´m not a NTR fan, but could live with it, if the story made sense, and was well written, which this one is not.
It´s like a Teenager watched too much cuckporn and put all the worst porn logic garbage in to one game, doesn´t matter if it makes sense or not.
I do like games that have elements of corruption and blackmail in them.
But the story gets ruined by the male MC, who lacks any backbone and behaves like a total cuck bitch and makes the game incredibly cringy and pretty much unplayable, because the game forces you to play from his perspective.
Not only that but when you find few scenes that could be good, they´re ruined by terrible animations.
I would give this game -1* if it was possible, because there´s nothing enjoyable to this game and it´s just a waste of time and the story gives you a massive headache.

As someone who has a penchant for leaving bad reviews, I'm a bit perplexed why this one has a bunch of them and doesn't have a score >4. My guess is it's just people who don't like NTR/sub-femdom/cuck content because if you like any of those genres, the game is great and deserves a higher score. Only real complaint is the girlfriend model is a copy of the punker girl from other well-known games but it didn't end up bothering me really. The writing is good, the plotline is engaging if a bit predictable, the corruption / submissive point system is great as is the switching between first person characters. Nice work, dev.

Decent game, but my chief complaint someone beat me to a few reviews down - in order to increase your stats you need to make choices which wouldn't neccesarily reflect your desires but are required for those bonuses.

In plain english this means I'm fine with sharing my girlfriend with a buddy, but have zero interest in watching her be degraded by some homeless guy.

Art quality is fairly good, and while I wasn't initially attracted to the gf, it grew over time as I appreciate the more unique look and personalized touches instead of being just another forgetful LI in hundreds of games

Animations are hit or miss. Some are great, but then have odd camera angles, some are quite poor, then others are decent, there isnt much consistency.

The end story went of the rails for a day or two, I had no idea (or maybe just wasnt sufficiently engaged by the writing to care) why there were mercenaries in the middle east and blah blah - anyways, early story was good and cohesive, later was not.

What is there to say about this Game?
The Female Main Protagonist looks pretty nice, just like some other female antagonist. The Story doesn't make much sense but has some good moments, but the Male Protagonist is such an annoying bitch cuck who doesn't add anything to the Story. The Story has too many Cuck elements that ruin the Game, and there are too many footjob and Handjob Scenes that are just incredibly boring. It's all such a shame because the Game has potential, but the problems are way too big. If it had been one or two female Main Protagonist it would have been a decent Game, but this is just bad.

well this game starts pretty strong with a decent amount of choices.

but at the later game the dev seems to ran out of ideas and railroaded the storyline and messed up the female route.
