Loved the first game, but just couldn't find the time to play the sequel, until now. At the one hand the game is still very good, nice graphics, girls, and animations. At the other hand, I struggled to finish it.

Story: The story feels a lot weaker this time around. The first game had an element of exploration and made you feel like you were slowly mapping out the island. Here everything starts unlocked, and you feel like you do post-game content. There is very little structure.
The character drama also felt rather poor. In the first game every girl tried to find a place in the world outside of the beauty pageant. In this game some characters have a struggle, but it feels very forced.

The main antagonist is Scarlett. I think her concept was a good idea, but her

felt very forced and rushed. Character growth did not feel earned.

Besides, some of the girls from the first game aren't here for the sequel (except for some zoom conversations), if one of them was your favorites, you are shit out of luck.

They have a few other new girls but none of them felt as interesting as the originals.

Art: It is good and the animation is a nice extra. Although you can tell the new girls are more finely drawn (less coarse linework) and the posing feels a bit stiff. The protagonist looks like a gorilla with how he holds his arms.

Sex: Honestly the biggest let down. They tease a threesome with Grace and Rachel the entire game but they never deliver. That was my biggest wish from PL1, and they blew it. The girls don't get equal love either. Some of them get 4 scenes, while others get 2. Even some of the new girls don't get much love, even though they're the ones that deserve scenes the most. I assume the patreon polls influenced that.
The content itself is decent and if you liked the scenes from the original, I think the sequel delivers. There is little exploration of kinks.

Then there are just some weird omissions. Like they rushed the game. The game sets up a lesbian romance between

. But then it never matures. The game is over before you finish that story.

Overal it feels less like a sequel, and more like a DLC for the original. Honestly, I would've preferred a DLC that would just give you more content with every girl.

As others have already said, this game is very much focused on the story and its writing. If you don't care for those aspects, this game won't be for you.

I happen to be someone who likes the story, humour and the characters that we got to know in Paradise Lust, and thus thoroughly enjoyed the sequel. It is a bit more on the shorter side, but the game is also much more streamlined and does away with some mechanics from the first game. It feels like the developers knew what they wanted to do with this game from the very beginning, which makes for a much "cleaner" experience without any of the grindy elements from the predecessor.

If you liked Paradise Lust for its story and the writing, you'll enjoy the sequel, it's reallly that simple.

TL;DR: game is good but worse than PL1 in most regards, still got enough content and delivers but i have some issues with it. If you liked PL1 you will like second one almost certainly.

I really wanted to give it 3 but figured it's unfair compared to most other projects, so it gets 4 from me but only comparatively. But keep in mind it could easily be 3 stars too. So first what is good.

Writing is geniunely still great. Dialogues are well written, mostly funny and generally flow well. Zero issues with overall writing.

Adult scenes are quite pretty and improved from first one, even if there are MUCH less of them. It is now primarily a story (there are issues and i will get to it) with some adult content, but the content itself is good.

New characters are mostly good, non intrusive and fit well enough.

Here is where i start getting some issues however.

First of all, gameplay loop is much worse for several reasons. First of all 99% of events you can do "during the day", and very often it doesn't include morning, so at times you have this list of 5+ events that you can only do in one time slot rendering morning, evening and night almost completely worthless and you have skip days to just do this next event in one time slot, just poorly thought out and bad design. Second, most items are worthless, absolute most of flowers are never used, coconuts, bananas, fish and bamboo are used i believe only once or twice, i suppose to justify reusing map from PL1 entirely, a lot of areas are never used once too, leaving this weird empty and unfinished feeling. And there is one time you need 3 daisies for some unholy reason and they only grow once every 3 days i believe and unless you know this ahead this quest just need to sit for like 10 days there. Entire money and shopping mechanic is completely pointless, i'd like to say it gatekeeps you from getting some content and quests too early but it kinda don't, so i fail to see the point.

And while writing is geniunely good, main narrative and some decisions are just not. In fact, there is no main narrative, the biggest "arc" you can call is the whole Scarlet feature and the conflict. New girls have some extremely spotty progression, Emi and Scarlet have overall good arcs even if Scarlet wasn't developed much, Ryoko and Luana were just... mostly there, especially Luana. Oh yeah and Mina, i completely forgot she was there. She just mostly adds to body count.

Speaking of girls, a lot of old favorites just got shafted for no real reason? Did Olga even have a single scene? I geniunely don't remember. Karen, Mi Sun and Reyna are completely absent from the island, and while some have a bit of narrative progression (Jenn in particular had good arc with restaurant, Grace had a tiny bit with a blog) the narrative is just kinda... flatlined. In fact it's kind of the biggest issue of the sequel, that besides Scarlet arc nothing is really happening. For most girls their stories are kinda done and they got nothing to do besides sit there and be pretty, and the story is as well "all is pretty good on the resort" and instead of a cool island adventure we got a simple comedy slice of life. Relashionships of Jack and the girls also don't move anywhere and don't take the next reasonable step.

Overall good game, but a dissapointing sequel. PL3 is already in the works, i hope it can do better narratively and finish the trilogy and won't be milking it forever and making it worse.

Main focus of the game is STORY

If you don't care about story in adult game, this game is absolutely not for you. They have completely degamified this game. You don't have progression like the last game where you slowly get close to all the girls. Its very much a visual novel. A lot of minigames got sacked. However overall quality of few puzzles have improved quite a lot. its no blue prince but much better than last game's mindless, repetitive mini-games.

Story is also a lot better than the last game. Writing is lot mature, jokes are lot funnier. Ending was sweet and wholesome.

    Negatives:
Allow me to beat the dead horse. yes, lot less H-scenes than the last game. Tho i enjoyed what there was to offer. Lack of progression with new girls was unexpected. There is no punishment for wrong answers anymore. ALSO I didn't like how deep intrenches quadruplex was located. you have to click through a lot to get there. a map button to get there with one click would have been nice.

Overall, very chill game, enjoyed the continuation from the last game. btw mina was a very pretty addition. loved her design ♥ wife material.

I really love the theme, the art, the humor, the exploration, and definitely the girls!
Can't wait for new stuff to be added, the sky is the limit!
You should play the first game, not because you won't understand the plot, but because it's amazing and completed!

    Animal Oddity

Absolutely what every visual novel should aspire to be. A fleshed out cast, an actual "open world" to explore for a 2D game and being able to talk to the cast again with CG events that are unlocked instead of just one and done bullshit you can never see again in that playthrough like the majority of 2D VN style games.

5/5 they built off what worked in the first game and just gave us bigger and better as a sequel should. Definitely worth supporting them by purchasing a copy off steam or itch.io.

There's not much to write here. This is a continuation of one of the best adult games and definitely the best 2D adult game. If you enjoyed the first part, you can dive into this one without hesitation. If the first part annoyed you because of Karen, the grinding, or the lack of sex scenes early on, you might find this part more enjoyable—Karen and the grinding are pretty much gone, and scenes with the girls from the first part are available almost immediately. If the linearity and lack of choices in the first game bothered you, then maybe skip this one, as it’s similar in that regard. This game is for completionists. You can play it stress-free; you won’t miss anything but price for it is a linearity. That’s one of the aspects I appreciate about Flexible Media games. I also appreciate the realism in the writing, or at least as much realism as is possible in a harem game.

Of course, the game isn’t perfect. The main storyline occasionally lacks focus, and there are far fewer paint games, wallpapers, or items you can give to the girls. However, the wallpapers that do appear are of much higher quality than in the first part. These are just minor things though, and I give the game a 5/5, and if we consider that the developer updates the game every month and is on track to finish it soon—something rare in this community—it could deserve a 6/5.

great game, good character design, story, decent duration, and good gameplay nothing to complain but the amount of game can't get enough of it should also maybe add some extra kinks :devilish:,game kinda grew into me will keep a place in my heart and i hope game dev keeps working on it,or at least other projects as good as this one

Pretty much what most porn devs should aspire to be like. A full game with dialogue that sounds like it was written by an actual human being who has at least spoken to women before. The fantasy is not over the top and the heroines don't just fall on the MC's dick without even talking to them like the garbage that plagues this niche. The slow start of the story actually pays off.

You actually feel like you contribute to the game world as you build and fetch quest your way to progress the game. For example, You actually get to serve drinks at the bar you built instead of it being a throwaway piece of the plot.

As for content? Its more Paradise Lust 1. But with more babes. You can repeat sex scenes and they are in a context of a continued relationship. Not a a poorly made frozen moment in time. 4/5 alone. Damn well might revive the point & click adventure genre.

    Complants?

The asians don't look asian and are closer to the white characters in this artstyle. Not a dig at the game itself, but I seriously don't believe koreans and japanese women look like that even with a ton of plastic surgery.

Also, if all of these woman are being #1 in the world at everything, and that many VIP's were stranded on TuvaTuva, im pretty sure some country's navy would come looking and find them by now.

Game is still a bit grindy and like the first it takes a while to build up the plot. But the minigames are skippable and they keep the treasure planet disney stuff to a minimum. I dont mean it like the trolls behind Visual novels that claim a 1000 hour shitty VN like Umineko "get better later on". I mean there's actual payoffs and you can continue to interact with the heroines. Who then help you get with the ones you haven't slept with yet. Though I wish this didn't force you to progress all the heroines routes in order to complete the main story of the game. Forced haremshit makes me take off a star. Since monogamy is also a fetish.

4/5. As good as you're going to get out of 2D visual novel style games.
Might be interesting to see a 3D spinoff at some point.

Very good continuation from the first one. Still lacking a bit of content, but that's to be expected while being in development.
Also a big fan of the two new japanese girls, they both look awesome.
The only thing that can be annoying imo is the amount of minigames, they are a bit too frequent for my taste, but they are still fun to solve tho.

Fun and great MC dialog continue in this sequel act ! Really enjoy the humor and story line from the Dev's on all 3 games so far . For a 2D game, the renders are very well done and not a buggy mess like many others out there. Keep up the good work gang :)

Review for Paradise Lust 2 v1.0.0:

Overall: 3.5/5 - This game is a continuation of Paradise Lust. Just as with movies/games/etc., the sequel needs to be better than the original in order to garner reviews that are at least as good. Paradise Lust 2 started off really good with notable improvements over the original, but kind of ran out of steam along the way. It's definitely not as good as the original game.

Story: 3/5 - The story is set a few months after the events of Paradise Lust. The theme seems to be the MC and his harem of fashion models are starting a porn studio in addition to running the island resort. A harem game with a porn studio is eyeroll worthy. Some characters from the original game get more depth and the most annoying characters from the original game are gone. However, the new characters are just meh.

Writing: 4/5 - The writing is good. It still uses terms and slang that are going to cause it to become dated too quickly, and it's sometimes way too verbose, but it's engaging and it uses proper English.

Renders/Art: 3/5 - Similar to the original, the art is good, but the art in the regular renders don't always match the animated scenes like they should. There's also the cheap impression from most of the scenes being sprites over a generic background instead of models actually posed with the background. Note that some scenes are actually posed, but they are rare.

Animations: 4.5/5 - The animations go well with the art style, and the idle animations are really nice and help take away some of the cheapness of using sprites on generic backgrounds.

Content: 4/5 - There's a decent amount of content and lewd content. I'm actually surprised that there isn't a bunch of reused content, and that's a good thing. Content quality is the same as the original game.

Gameplay: 3/5 - The gameplay took a big step forward in v0.6.0. Several of the minigames are actually challenging now (there is still a skip option for those that don't want to bother with minigames). Some of the more rudimentary minigames still exist, too (removing vines, matching flowers, and digging through junk) if you liked them. Like the original, there are a lot of choices that appear to have no effect other than to change a couple of lines of dialogue, which seems pointless. The island map works really well for navigating the sandbox, but there could be more find-grained locations to reduce clicks. There is also a caryover from the original game where you improve your relationship by talking to girls, but it doesn't actually do anything in this game, which again, is pointless.

Sound: 4/5 - The generic background music is better than average. Ambient sounds are mostly good. Some sound effects (e.g., footsteps when walking between areas) that were previously annoying have been toned down.

Bugs: 4/5 - I encountered several bugs in earlier updates, but I haven't encountered any recently. The only bugs that are still there are quest/hint dependencies where the hints will say to do something, but you can't until you actually do something else (i.e., a hidden dependency), or you can trigger something that's part of a quest that isn't supposed to start yet.

    Other:
This game looks for saves from the original game and carries over some info, such as MC name. Nice touch.
The game is about an island resort that earns money from guests. The characters talk about how busy they are dealing with guests, but the game never shows any guests (except for the 3 or 4 that become part of the story), and there's no room for more than 4 guests anyway.
