Hello everyone!

Been a while since the last post, but wanted to let things cook a while before making the next post. We, so far, are still on track to release the update at the end of the month.
First things first, the content for the next update is still being added/implemented/play-tested etc. This update is pretty huge to say the least, with continued reworks and things ongoing alongside the new content.
Remember, the current plan for release is:
-1.) This update coming (Mrs Winward and a few extra things).
-2.) All the mages of Palam + finishing touches.
-3.) STEAM RELEASE (Aimed for December) -Main story update (Regina and Sypha focus).
After which we intend to focus on the main story for a while afterward.
Now, going into a bit more detail, we talked about art revamps before, so, below are a couple examples of a few smaller details and things we've been working on in the meanwhile...

Markus bedroom (Above) - Revamped
There is of course more art remaining for revamping, but thankfully, we are coming to the tail end of 'revamping artwork' at last. By the time the steam release launches, we should 100% have this issue finally laid to rest, meaning we can solely focus on producing nothing but new art!
One cool new feature we wanted to show you guys was crafting will now be available in the next build. Find ore and resources to craft powerful new items, weapons and armor!
Obviously, to make this fully functional it'll require a lot of play-testing, feedback from you guys and a bit of back and forth, but thankfully, we think it helps make the world of Parasite Black feel more dynamic and hopefully, more fun for you guys.
Combat is still in the works' development wise, we're still a few months away from where we need it to be, but we are continuing to work on it, and, by the steam release, we hope it'll be something you guys can fully enjoy.

that sounds tedious.
it also doesn't even make any sense from a lore perspective. MC is a magi-biological horror. He should not rely on mundane equipment for his combat abilities. Rather he should level up his ability to produce weapons and armor from his body via shapeshifting.

The MC still has a human form, which he (you) will likely need to fight in.
Choosing to transform into your parasite form is a cost/reward mechanic, you can do it and gain access to/level up the Parasite's powerful abilities and arsenals, but each time will raise your infection significantly. You need to strategize and weigh up in game when to use it.
"Should I transform into a Parasite to fight these three raiders? Or should I save it for the dragon ten minutes from now?"
You can, of course, use the parasite form multiple times in one day, but it's *supposed* to feel like you're powering up in that form. All of your stats boost up, alongside being able to use the parasite's powerful abilities.
For certain set encounters, i.e main story events - You may get a free pass to use the parasite without any infection raises, such as when you first encounter the man in black - to avoid unnecessary bugs.
Your companions also have inventories and such for equippable gear*

I'd say the same problem of "being too clean and flat" is also applicable to the new faces of the characters.
It's lack features. It's too clean and flat , like a potrait painting of someone but they are sprites and it would do good to add details & shadows to thier faces.

I'd say I like the old character model of the Arlena , the new one looks generic and more like Adara.
It's hard to make out without clothes.

I think it would do good to not monotone all the faces of characters.
They all have this perfect face structure and features, which takes away thier character and differences and they all look the same.
Now Arlena, Adara and the prostitute we save, all look very very similar.

I think Regina and Lynx are the best character models. They are beautiful but still have character.

I have a couple ideas I want to test/push for to try to improve character models.
Hopefully, they'll be positive.

I decided to use the gallery unlock cheat to see what the scenes were that i was missing, and there were a couple that i'm stumped on...
The blowjob scene with Nyx - is this a dominant/romance specific scene? I have her key, but she's never in her room and doesn't have anything to say.
All the content with Myu - I honestly have know idea where to meet her, I have no quests in my journal and the only notes I have are related to making money... Last main quest I did was the one where you go into the valley of death temple ruins for the first time. I did get that gem from the kraken, idk what to do with that though lol

Alderian News!
Just a brief update to let you guys know how things are progressing.
As always, first things first, if you haven't already, please wishlist Parasite Black over on steam! Every wishlist helps!

Progress is going well so far on the update, but we are running up against the wire to implement the remaining content/test/refine it. Hopefully, we'll hit our target, but there is a chance of a small delay, though that's still up in the air.
We've taken a big leap forward with combat, and one thing we have implemented is the ability to transform into a parasite in combat now, which causes a stat boost as well as enables the player to be able to use the parasite form's powerful combat abilities... At a cost of increased infection.
I do want to note, we're still missing a few things for combat still, the various class skills still aren't all in, nor is the actual infection cost/reworking around infection rate to make things more interesting. Expect some balancing issues, at least, until the Steam release in December where we should have all these issues fully ironed out.
Speaking of the steam release, we're continuing to gather the next couple elements for it, including locations for the Free City of Hamun, which will be the next major city/location the player can visit.
The Free city of Hamun - A coastal city on the Eastern fringes of the Valley of death. A city, that has managed to strike out independently of the Alderian empire, whilst still managing to hold off Demorai assaults. The city has no formal laws, and has become a hive of criminals and powerful merchants acting as the only sort of 'authority' in town.
Whilst the Alderian empire longs to force the free city to rejoin the empire, the fiercely independent city has become a convenient hub for all sides to conduct their most shadowy work...
