I unlocked (and used) memory plunder long before I'd unlocked the ability to contact Song Xin. As a different workaround, I found that although simply reloading a saved game post-plunder did not stop the error, fully quitting out of the game, closing the browser window and then re-launching the game and loading a post-plunder save allowed me to continue.

Don't worry, this is a known issue and it will be fixed in the next version.
The new launcher will come with its own built-in Python environment, so you won't need to install anything extra yourself. This should solve these kinds of running issues for good.
I'm preparing the new release now. I just need to figure out the correct way to update the post, and you'll be able to play it as soon as it's up.

I posted the what I'm getting on page 2 Today at 8:03 PM is the mac one and Today at 5:48 PM is the Windows
The mac one just shows a lot of works in the web browser but never shows a Console
The Windows one shows words in the Console that start green only the change white and any button in hit closes the Console
Game Guide:
- Initial Stages:
- Focus on earning points in four stages (M1, N2, E1, E2) to maximize your starting resources.
- Allocate all points to Excitatory Hormones and Gene Mutation to build a strong foundation.
- Skill Progression:
- After unlocking the second level, prioritize Hormonal Allure.
- Unlock and activate Level 1 Cuckoo's Nest and Memory Plunder as soon as possible.
- Week 1 Strategy:
- The control state is not necessary in the first week, so focus on other actions.
- Aim to trigger the first interaction with Zhang Chao by Friday, which requires a favorability score above 50. Select Urge Surge during the office interaction to progress.
- During the weekend, unlock and activate Lead Actor while avoiding Neural Integration to maintain flexibility.
- Week 2 Strategy:
- Repeatedly visit the office to seduce Zhang Chao and work toward unlocking New Home.
- Once full control is achieved, use Memory Plunder and immediately contact Song Xin to advance the storyline.
- Resource Management:
- Time and points are plentiful, allowing you to max out all skills with plenty to spare.
- Avoid Neural Integration until full control is secured, as the control state can sometimes work against you early on.

It would be incredibly helpful if you could first press F12 to open the developer console, click on the "Console" tab, and then take a screenshot of the entire screen (including the game and the console). Any red error messages shown there would be the key to fixing this.

Please rest assured that this will be completely fixed in the next version.
The new launcher will include a feature to automatically install and configure the required Python environment. It will handle all the setup for you, so you won't need to do any manual installation. This should solve the problem for good.

Version 0.2.7 is now available. This update focuses on bug fixes and includes a major quality-of-life improvement for launching the game.
Key Changes:
- No More Python Required! The game has been repackaged and can now be launched directly from the index.html file. No local server or manual setup is needed anymore!
- Fixed several bugs within the "Memory Plunder" minigame.
- Optimized the trigger conditions and appearance logic for the "Invite Song Xin" event.
- Corrected some incorrect skill descriptions in the English version.

This was a common issue with the older version, which required a Python local server to run.
The good news is this has been completely fixed in the new v0.2.7 update. The game has been repackaged and no longer needs Python—you can now just double-click the index.html file to play.

Downloaded the latest version. This time, I was able to run the game, but I've played tetris-like mini-game and tried to invite sister while not being in a control mode and suddenly game started to act strangely. Messages started to pop up taking actions for me.
the new version lets me open and press new game but then the first page has a massive header and the text is half obscured off the page and i have no scroll function. so presumably there is a 'continue' button at the end of the text that i cannot get to.
Edit: i managed to press tab and then hit enter and blindly advance those first few pages, and now seem to be into the game.

playing the game and liking it. just took the sister over. which has raised a question, i immediately unlocked permanent takeover by switching to the sister without having to buy the skill. is this normal and intended? its a free perk?
