Unity - Completed - Path of the Pixie [v2024-01-05] [BadSorries]

I have no idea what these dipshit's problem with this game is, it's an blindingly obvious 5-star. Super fun game-play sexy battlefuck mechanics, cute dialog, minimal grind, amazing technical execution for an h-game. It uses kerbal space program music 2 stars?! Do you even fucking hear yourself?

I can't think of another3d battlefuck game on this site that's as well done as this one is, the only possible explanation I can think of for the less-than-five-star reviews is that a cadre of jealous-ass-bitch game devs created negging accounts just to dogpile this legitimately awesome little h-game. Yall edgelords should be ashamed of urselves for rating this anything other than 5

Good

1. Special Ability in combat to instantly Submit
2. 3D animated combat
3. The ‘game over’ area has a billboard of pictures where you’ve lost combat. It acts as the gallery.

Issues

1. Uses widely known and obvious Kerbal Space Program music
2. Doesn’t have in-game options for resolution or fullscreen toggle. Had to use shortcut command line arguments
3. The game doesn’t suggest it, but a 3rd person game suggests the player should use a controller instead of keyboard + mouse. The menus don’t support the controller and there is only limited controller support (e.g. character movement but no camera zooming)
4. The sound effect for “interacted with an NPC and a conversation is starting” or entering combat sounds like someone tapped a microphone accidentally
5. Character controller - alternating between pushing left and right causes the character’s position to move down towards the camera instead of left or right
6. The UI has two separate inventories represented as buttons - Pixie Dust and Ingredients. These 2 icons are right on top of each other and they don’t react to mouse hover. This makes it impossible to know that they’re two separate inventories.
7. Items in the inventory don’t have a tooltip telling you what they do
8. When trying to use “Cum” ability in battle, if it’s not possible at the moment, an error popup shows up. That popup stays on screen for too long and doesn’t automatically go away when exiting the menu with the Cum button
9. During combat animations, the mouse is hidden and can’t be used to hover over UI icons to get information
10. Combat animations are slow and can’t be skipped or sped up
11. Combat status effects on player character can’t be mouse hovered for a tooltip, they need to be clicked

Pretty good. Has fun battle mechanic, great graphics, animations, somewhat interesting story. The controls and movement is not the best at times, battles are very horny, but usually water down to clicking every available option until you find the one that deals most damage and keep spamming it. Also in certain boss battles you get thrown into jail with elf, so it gets boring if you fail these boss battles at least once and in each defeat you get to battle elf too with the same animations (i wonder if you can defeat to elf too).

TL;DR It's very high quality made, but controls suck and battle system can become boring. If you're a fan of watching girl being fucked by giant insects and plants you'll like it

The game is pretty short and lacks a gallery mode, and the combat gets a little repetitive. Most combats are pretty short though, and you don't have to repeat them all that often unless you get stuck.

It doesn't seem like a corruption game at first, but the MC does get hornier over time, which is fun to see.

It's a lot faster to beat if you win combats, but you can also convert losses into materials to progress. Unless you get pregnant, of course.

The animations are nice, the gameplay is engaging enough, the dialogue is nice, but the lack of a gallery mode and slow combat means I can't give this game five stars.

for the abrupt and quickened ending that feels even like it was clearly at 1 time going to be more (can't save before final boss, then can save after it, and then you go to next and see a quick scene imply a #2.

Also wish it had a complete gallery of just click a creature and "fight it" after beating it but can multi save or grab a save maybe and just try to remember if really cared and knew ahead of time so not biggest deal.

The art and animations are nice. Character design is cute and its worth a couple sessions. The battles are fairly enjoyable the first time you engage with them (but not in proceeding times).

That said, the grind of the enemies is tedious and could be done without completely. Its also quite short with a rather abrupt ending.

A must-play game only held back by it's lack of quality of life features. Among the most animated and charming games out there with a larger than life personality. Visible love has been put into the characters and animations alike.

The Good:

• Unrivaled in how expressive and full of personality each animation is.
• ACTUALLY FINISHED GAME.
• Not a greedy dev. The creator keeps their Patreon closed during periods of inactivity.
• Simple gameplay loop that is not too frustrating with actual gameplay.
• Respects your time with the playtime being around 2-3 hours. Damn satisfying hours packed with content.
• Game does not waste your time nor lose sight of itself. Every action is erotic and every progression requires a ton of fucking. There is no mindless clicking nor waiting for arbitrary numbers to go up until you can earn a scene -- only straight to the point pure quality.
• Dynamic camera angles with great animation variety in each combat situation, with some that are genuinely funny and with the rest being sexually gratifying. There's also free camera available.
• Clean and pleasant artstyle/graphics.
• Genuinely funny at times. I had a smile on the entire time playing.
• Content toggles: I'm not into pregnancy/birth so I arguably didn't get the full experience and scope of this game -- but good news for those that are into it! There's an option to enable/disable it.
• Best gateway into bug hentai. Very tame and almost cute at times, especially knowing how wild this niche can get. So even if you're not into this type of thing -- you can still derive enjoyment out of it.
• Dirty and playful dialogue that even includes little details like later scenes referencing previous scenes for comedic effect. Each combat encounter has unique dialogue with tons of lines, with some scenes having conversation options.
• Cute character designs. I almost have a feeling the creator originally intended younger/smaller characters but had to compromise due to things like Patreon being a pain in the ass these days. If that's so -- I wish to see their original vision one day.

Neutral:

• Annoying RNG. Game is based around a lot of RNG elements but luckily if you learn the combat options it's not a big deal. You can beat every encounter without healing if you know what you're doing.
• No handholding. Not a negative to me but it can get some people stuck. The game, however, is designed well enough that the progression is intuitive if you do everything available to you. Don't avoid enemies, they drop what you'll need for the new area (meaning more erotic content instead of running past). Find a new recipe? Use it right away as you need it for the current area.

The Bad:

• You can't go back to previous areas -- meaning you have to make a save for each area or you'll have to replay the game to access it again.
• No main menu option -- requiring you to close the game each time.
• No animation gallery or anything like that. Once you finish the game, you are booted to the menu with nothing new unlocked or viewable -- so to rewatch any scenes you have to make individual saves for each area. To make matters worse, you can't decide which moves enemies do -- so you might struggle to see specific animations or at least the ones you never got to see due to RNG. This to me is a massive oversight for a hentai game, hurting it's replay factor, and is the only reason this isn't 5 stars -- making it hard to view and enjoy all that the game has to offer.

All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed this charming game that had animated movie-like qualities. I definitely won't forget it and I am now eagerly anticipating anything this creator might put out.
As a game, it understands the importance of the hentai content and it's quality, but at the same time does some severe oversights like the aforementioned facts about how inaccessible replayability is.

It could've been easy 5 stars, but that one slip up warrants a lower score and what ultimately makes this a *play only once game*. Which is a shame as a lot of love was put into this.

A fun little game that's just a few QoL changes short of being worth 5 stars in my books.

-Baited into thinking there's more pregnancy content early on
-At times confused as to where to progress, which was mostly a skill issue on my end
-Very short with very obscure cliffhanger

i admire games with charm and creativity (and weird scenes ), there is definitely a lot of room for quality of life improvements/polish, but even with how slow it can be at times this is the sort of game i would love to see more from.

definitely the most impressive thing to me was how dynamic the combat system is, pretty sure every encounter has unique dialogue and animations, even with the defending options.

If the game wasn't a success, you could definitely add more. But it turned out well and you really enjoyed it and the fights were ok.
Wtwas difficult but once you understand what you should do + tips you can see for yourself when you look at the effects^^.
Animations are well done.
I couldn't find any serious bugs.
There are still a few little things that if you are too close to the edge the camera goes into the frame.
but there are worse things.
karfting system is easy to understand^^.
The map is still quite small but is sufficient for the first project.
Especially because it runs smoothly and doesn't lead the PC to the brink of destruction like with other games because nothing has been obtemized or there is too much garbage on the map.^^


I'm looking forward to your next project and say thank you for the great game.
Especially because you don't do it like others and say only patron gets an uncensored version^^ or more of the game.

I really wish this game wasn't such a chore to play. The actual animations are pretty decent, but literally everything else about this game is infuriating. The boss fights are annoying not just because your turns have to be perfectly optimized to win, but because for some reason someone thought it was a good idea to have the looooooongest text dialogue dumps on the fucking planet thrown into the middle of them.

So now, not only does the fuck off hard boss fight take an hour because the boss has 47,000,000 HP and you have to undo a status effect every other turn, but now they have 25 minute text wall breaks in the middle of them. Oh, you made one miss-click and now it's impossible to win the fight? Enjoy spam clicking through the Great Wall of Bullshit Text again for the next 45 minutes. This game, if it ever gets a gallery mode, will be the kind of game you "play" by downloading a save off somebody who was enough of a masochist to play through it to complete the gallery, and never touch a single second of actual gameplay, lest you actually go insane thanks to actually trying to play this game.

The difficulty wouldn't be nearly as bad if it weren't for how painfully time consuming each little encounter is with anything that isn't a basic fodder enemy. If I could just lose then jump right back in for another shot, take 3 or 4 cracks at the boss fight without having to clear my entire weekend schedule to get through one stupid encounter, all of my issues with this game would be minor annoyances at worst.

The Good:

• The game provides beautiful visuals with sexy characters and cute protagonist.
• The animations are well done and fairly polished a good assortment of positions and not many recycled animations between opponents.
• The story is clear and quite intriguing all things considered. The Protagonist is likeable and decently developed.
• The sex animations are pretty attractive and decently "fap"able.
• I enjoyed the fighting style, it's a sex based combat style which I'd love to see in more games.
• Also, I enjoyed the platforming element to gather the necessary items. It's fun to jump around as a pixie collecting stuff.
• Lastly, I enjoyed the challenges you encounter along the way. They aren't overly difficult and just hard enough to get you thinking like the way a porn game should.

The Bad:

• The spelling and vocab need some work.
• The wing flaps of the protagonist and the hops of the tomato are obnoxiously loud and need to have their volume reduced significantly as they get annoying the second you first use them.

Overall decent game. It's got a good variety of animations for each enemy given you have several attacks you can use against them and they've also got their own set of moves that's RNG based. There is an all right pregnancy system for those who are into it that slowly advances and the end result varies depending on the enemy who caused it.

Sadly, this game has got some glaring issues that should be addressed. For example, items you craft with items you get through fighting (which gets kinda slow when you have to grind for items, although it'd just be a few battles) lack a description; off the top of my head I can only name 1 item with a self-explanatory name so you could easily end up wasting your ingredients. Another issue with crafting is that you can only check the required ingredients if you don't have enough, so you can't plan ahead if you wanna craft 2 items for example at the same time.

Another issue would be the controls, they're rather tanky but not as bad as in other games I've played. And finally, the lack of a tutorial for what each attack does. You have to learn through experimentation and a boss fight when you get a new move.

I honestly don't get the hype for this game. Animations aren't bad, but they ain't great either. The tank controls feels off for a pixie game, and combat is simple yet frustrating, seemingly based more on RNG than skill. The simplicity only saves it a little, but it doesn't make it any less annoying.

Thing is, I would've given it a higher score if it wasn't so vague. When there's no info on any of the crafted items or what they do, when you can only see how to craft items when you don't have the ingredients, and there's no hints on where to go or how are combat should be done, you know you ballsed it.

The gameplay is decent. Controls are meh, her movement feels kinda sluggish. Combat is actually great, true battle fuck.

All and all I think it already is an awesome game.

The game is pretty good, story engaging and gameplay fun.

Only issue I see is that it's pretty cryptic.

It doesn't tell you anything about some game mechanics. For instance, the first boss will randomly one shot you (or at least it seems random) and nothing explains why or how to avoid it.

You also don't get any informations on the effects of the dusts before crafting them, and some of them are pretty useless, meaning you can waste your ingredients without knowning it.

You also don't get objective markers or anything. If you missed a dialog, good luck figuring out what you're supposed to do.

Finally a sexgame that does it right!

Usually you get the typical NSFW game with fighting where you only get to see sex happening or lewd acts when you are losing. However, In 'Path of the Pixie' you get to see some lewd things when you win and losing doesn't destroy your progress at all!

More games should be like that.

5 Stars because of it's amazing gameplay and design. It is still buggy and needs some more explaining on what to do and where to go but apart from that, good progress.

Level Design is so terrible... like You need to guess where to go most of the time... there is so many invisible walls even in places there should be option to go... took me like 10 minutes to understand that You can jump on top of SOME THINGS but you CANT on some OTHER things...

In first map there is "Stick" on top of "hill" You may think that it's possible to walk on it... as its below girl knees... NOOOO... Mr. Invisible Wall there... even if You jump over it You can't walk on it... in other place on first map u can simply stand on "air" because there is collision ( near hill )

Music is very simple and annoying, very short loop.

Sex animations are not bad but well... they are more like a joke than actual sex, because of how "sex combat" looks its making game insane slow, every fight takes like 2/3 minutes and is pretty boring as You have only 2 attacks and "2" special abilities ( cum and surrender )

but what is biggest problem is not poor level design, slow combat and progress or even this annoying music but controls...

and well... You need to hold right mouse button all the time...

If You not holding right mouse button You can look around, its small but really annoying for me, in many other games like for example BDO You can enable mouse cursor with CTRL key... in other games like for example Minecraft cursor is visible only in menus / inventory etc.

This game is not using cursor 99,9% of the time...
and Yet You need to hold right mouse to look around because not holing right mouse is just moving useless cursor around screen...

However, a tutorial would be a good thing especially for the combat system. The controls and animations feel a bit rough too. Wacky and exciting events but game is too slow paced.

Jumping on leaves to fall down and try again is not fun in 2023... Combat needs to be more dynamic as well. Putting this on my 'check for updates' list.
