Apples. Oranges. Pears. When a basket is full of ripe pieces, what fruit will you pick? If looks aren't everything to you, you might taste something great over here. Peaches Are Not The Only Fruit is in a weird place. It’s been released since 2020, and has only received seven updates in five years. The developer doesn’t have a game page, nor can you subscribe anywhere. Every update happens at his own pace and volition. A new update just released, so it’s a perfect time to review the game's experience.
STORY
In an unnamed British city, Terry moves in with Mandy Carter, a large woman who puts out an ad renting out her extra bedroom. Terry starts to work at Palmer-Pharma, a biopharmaceutical company under the unnerving Dr. Stern, and dives into a world full of plus-size, needy women.
The best parts about PANTOF are the conversations. While the game is currently only three days long, Terry has options to a multitude of women and endings. You aren’t able to see everything in one playthrough, so you will have to figure out the branches and choose carefully.
Because of the short in-game time, relationship development is not really a thing here. You can definitely get attached to women, but it’s all in a flirty, shallow manner. Terry does have a strong mind of his own and the game won’t always allow you to mess things up.
Developer Vivien also made an effort to differentiate the women's characteristics. Landlord Mandy feels nothing like the hard Dr. Stern, while Pam and Mrs. Morris are both variants of old lady spice. And then there's Bob, that irritating male co-worker that loves gossiping about women. It might not be grandesque writing, but it is fun to read while playing.
Here's to hoping the developer will actually prolong the days and add extensions to multiple stories, so we can get proper closure on many of these lusty fantasies. They're fleeting and snackable, but fun for while they last. For now though, only a few of the stories lead to anything frisky. There's no end goal to pursue yet, so it has to be implemented as soon as possible to give some of the characters actual meaning.
That said, PANTOF does allow for fun excursions. Polly and the new update with Catherine are interesting, although after everything they're still miles away from having proper closure. With the speed this game is developing, you might not want to wait for story updates.
PRESENTATION
Graphics look a bit outdated in 2025 and have to be your cup of tea. Not just the very big women that Terry flirts around with, but also the visual way of rendering. These women won’t always look their most flattering, sometimes even shown in ugly lighting. It’s a skill issue that takes away some of the BBW magic, but never becomes problematic.
If you are in the market for really big mature women, this is probably one of your highlights. You will see all kinds of curves on the women around you and if you play your cars right, some you may even end up admiring. The game doesn't always reward you with sexy time, however. So choose wisely if that's your goal.
Characters have a dolllike look and the 3D design may seem flat and basic at times. It's a style choice and it mostly works. Sometimes it doesn't (Mrs. Morris' first scene) and then your best bet is just to read text and skip. It's a mixed bag, which is sad because the game features a couple interesting characters to explore.
The game swaps multiple frames to give the idea of animation, and it's pretty smart. There are a few animated scenes and they all work well. Lovely touch are the 3D letters that show when a character yells during intimacy. It's silly, but fun at the same time.
Graphically, PANTOF won't blow you away. It's telling a story and lets you pick the way things unfold, even though things won't always look their best. If you're a curvehunter and don't mind a little visual jank, you can play and enjoy this.
GAMEPLAY
Story choices let you decide which woman to pursue and what woman you eventually end up with. Since the game ends after three days, subsequent updates are usually women unlocking or new women added to the mix.
Be aware that you will have to make choices and choosing something can lock you out of something else. This game will demand multiple playthroughs to see all the storylines, and some additional backtracking to figure out the best way of managing things.
Highlights are the choice buildups for characters like Rachel. Depending on your choices in her interaction, you get one of several endings. It feels like a challenge, which some players will definitely enjoy. If you're a story player, just look for the different parameters and unlock the scenes.
There's no way to rewatch scenes nor is there a way to immediately know whether you're on the right or wrong path, so this game is a visual novel with choices and multiple outcomes where you will just have to experiment your way through. There is a 'what did I miss' hint system though that does help you set course for other stories, which will make you curious for what else is out there.
OVERALL
I finished PANTOF last year and didn't get around to reviewing it. The new update adds some fun double date shenanigans with Polly and Caterina, but doesn't exactly add to the storytelling of the game. Rather than broaden Terry's world, Vivien would do better to extend the existing stories. That way, the story increases in meaning and hopefully, in rating.
It's a fun game to play however, and if you can look past the graphical choices that might put off a bunch of people, there's a fun story to be told at Palmer-Pharma. Even though it makes little to no sense yet.
Rating: 6.5/10
