Ren'Py Persistent data kept resetting Gallery back to being locked

Setting kept resetting itself back to being locked upon exiting the games while keeping my save intact. Help please

I now have the same problem. When closing a game the gallery data and text I have already read resets while my saves are still intact. This is on all of VN's with renpy and al I can find about it is code about specific games. Does anyone know a solution? I have already reset my entire computer and system but no dice.

Well, if it happen systematically, it mean that something is preventing Ren'Py to either write the persistent file, or read it. But like you don't talk about issues with the save files, it's something limited to the said persistent file. And like it happen with all games, it's not the dev who did something wrong.
Could it be that you decided to mess with Ren'Py save security?

Nope haven't messed with anything related to Ren'Py I just download and play. Could it be a permission thing? I did try run as admin tho.
