VN - Ren'Py - Persona 4: Rise Gaiden [v0.5.1] [Golden Goose Games]

This game is nothing short of impressive. You can tell the dev has put a lot of time in to making this look and feel like a Persona game. With the attribute system, the activities you choose from between each time of day change. The amount of content already in what's available here. And of course why we're all here, the bonk material is great. Animations are well done (I'll be it not perfect as you can see come collision issues) and have lots of variation to match your particular flavor.

My Recommendations to the Dev: Some of the daily tasks before time of day changes can in a way take away from the story or flow. There were times when I had to hit next day multiple times in a row and it felt like it was over spacing the game out. Do with that as you will though.

My other rec is the patch you have available. Some of the info is conflicting and it isn't easy to get to. Maybe consider attaching the patch here like other games have done. And you have images showing the game version showing patched for older updates. But current doesn't have (Patched) or P so hard to tell if I even did it right till the right scene came up.

Good God is this fucking shit!

Dream or real life? Bad writing. Poor story? Wierd as fuck characters.

Come on dude. Half the male characters appear to be obvious queers and their scripts sure come across the same way.

This every bit of content os blocked in some way or another is just absolutely assanine. Go to the free roam where everything you click has no function whatsoever. Ummm? WTF did you take me there for?

We won't even mention the fact that the game makes it very obvious that paying players get perks. Hint.... cheat option in the initial menu.

Nah I hate bloated pieces of trash writing like this. Huge pass for me. And yes I quit early because it doesn't take much exposure to shit to know I don't like the smell.

By far one of the best ren py games i ever play, u can cleary see the dev talent and passion of this project, the characters, the menus(simply perfect), the music, the animations, the backgrounds, the details,, etc.... Even the side storys(activities) got a lot of care.

My only concern was the fact of the game becoming too ambitious. But so far the updates have been consistent, and the content amzing.

For the story part, so far its been great and quite thruthfull to the scource material, really feels like ur playing persona.

Cant give enough credit for this project, and by the looks of it..... Its reaching "masterpiece" status.

it has some really cool ideas that could even be put in new persona games. the animations are really good. the story is nice. honestly, fun which i can't say for a lot of other porn games, would recomend.
probably the best persona porn game out there.

The music of the OG is used very well in this parody, it really gives it that extra push into a great experience. The only thing missing is fighting Personas but that would just be too much too code.

I'm about 40 minutes in now, but my GOD this is amazing.
The presentation is top fucking notch.

UI Animation and writing that rivals P4 itself, with pretty good character models and a lot of charm to it. If this keeps up, it might just become the greatest of its kind.

I mean, FFS, the only real complaint I have so far is that the text uses regular dashes instead of em dashes (- vs —). I have to get that petty to find a fault.

The game is excellent! Though, not a lot of content yet.

Everything really feels... right and nostalgic, with the music and soundbites, like Nanako calling you 'Big Bro'! Its like I'm playthrough of Persona 4 on the PS3. The character models and portraits, the background and cutscenes, captures that feeling.

For the H-scenes, the camera work is superb and does the game Justice! Sometimes it pans through a room, to the 'action' in third-person, very briefly, but when it goes first-person perspective and stays 'til the climax, 5 out of 5. Not many games have good first-person or at all.

The gameplay mechanic, such as the stats, is interesting. They can led to secret scenarios or small dialogues. Currently, there's locked options for Lust 3, 1 Courage 5, and 8 Expression. I personally like it and hope those stats influences some H-scenes, like corrupting love interests with Lust or having enough Courage to sneak into a room at night.

This creator LOVE the Persona games: The menus, sounds, background recreations, and even the Dance spin-off!!

Not a Koikatsu game but a VN and Social game, just like de original one. Also great work on character recreation.
Only drawbak is the Social earned poinst are not cleary showed (+2 instead of +1) and not yet impact on the initial release thus far. But it's yet too soon to asume.
Looking for future updates

Obviously a very early build so this may change in the future, but so far way better than other persona parody games.

Runs smoothly and the animations don't lag or bug anything out, models look so much nicer than the koikatsu ones so I'm really hopeful that the dev won't switch them out.

Only thing that's lacking is content, so I can't wait to see more (Especially Naoto)
