Ren'Py - Abandoned - Pie In The Sky [v0.5.0 Ruby Edition] [Emmerald Entertainment]

Not amazing in its current state by any means, but it certainly has the potential to become so. It takes about an hour and a half to complete, has some good scenes, great art and a refreshing pacific island/fantasy setting. Think Moana, but without the Polynesians.
That being said, I do take issue with several aspects:
1. The quests: I hate quests where you have to complete objectives in other quests to proceed and almost every quest is like that. It kind of just defeats the purpose of quests at that point and what you're left with is a linear game.
2. The minigames: They aren't hard or anything they're just lazy. The puzzle one at the very least feels like they tried , but the rock/rat one is just insulting.
3. The dialogues: Mostly they work fine (aside from some grammatical issues) , but occasionally characters throw out references to things they should have no logical way of knowing about and it completely derails the conversation for me.
4. The girls: Don't get me wrong, the girls look great, but there's no real variety to their body types outside of slightly different breast sizes. I mean, the female form comes in such an variety of body types, why limit yourself to just one. Gimme some THICC girls. They also don't have a huge amount of age range between them, which also feels kind of unnecessarily limiting. As far as I'm concerned women can be beautiful well into their 60s, which gives you quite a lot of range to work with. Just gimme a woman in her 50s with a big fat ass, man. In this art style? DAMN. That would be fire. I would 100% throw down some monthly cash for that....
5. Art style inconsistencies: The pirate lady, the blonde henchman, and the gardener all look as though they've been drawn in a different art style and its a bit jarring. I expect to be able to rail that fucking gardener's ugly ass at some point too, by the way. I hate it when there are unfuckable girls in porn games, even if I have to bleach my corneas afterward.
6. My standard complaint: Not enough visible buttholes. I counted one and that honestly pretty high as far as porn games go. Girls' buttholes are criminally under shown in games and I can never feel I've truly fucked a woman until I've seen her asshole. I'm getting no closure here.
And thats about it. Even though I had more complaints than complements, I really truly did enjoy my time with this game and see a bright future ahead of it. I'm looking forward to seeing more of it and hope my 5 stars goes a little way to helping it gain some much deserved exposure.

Overall nice game with nicely done graphics. I am a fan of these comics-ish games and this one has really good one. I also like the islandish theme, definetely unusual. Gameplay is also very good, story is at the beginning but I like it so far. Characters are finely written. In-game WT feature helps so you don't stuck in place. I like this game. I like the art style, the music, the setting and the UI. Writing is passable/average.
Story I don't really know what it's supposed to be about, lots of dicking around it seems. Game play was typical fetch quest with a bit of very rudimentary mini-games. I didn't like the "training" segments which you had to redo the same game over and over and it's zero challenge but just boredom such as clicking on stones over and over - why? Also feels like playing a demo because multiple times the game states you need a ruby version ($5 per month) to see a scene, or to skip an annoying mini game, etc. Scenes were... fine. Bit short with super little build up and sometimes completely out of nowhere (randomly a DUDE wants to jerk off while going fishing, why?).

Overall very little to do, and very little content. It's about average.

Enojayble game with surprisingly unoffensive mini games (everyother H game has awful ones I find).

The art style is really unique and something that sets it apart from a lot of other games.

The music in this game really fits with the theme of the game and is easy to listen to.

I really enjoyed this game. I'm very grateful that the dev took the time to invest in a most enjoyable game.
This game offers multiple playthroughs. The story is good and the models look great.

A couple bugs, nothing big.

Some suggestions:

1. take the sex a bit slower, he jumps into it rather quickly and for random reasons
2. There's also some really good side quests (hike to a volcano, treasure in skull rock), but...
   1. They are way too short
   2. Again, random, they don't feel like they fit in the overarching narrative

Very excited to see where this one goes - so far it is extremely impressive.

Super good. Reminds me of Another Chance and Summertime Saga which are great. Pretty vanilla but dialogue is good and art is fantastic and it makes you do little tasks so you feel like you're earning the lewd without getting tedious or grindy.

This is probably the most well thought and well designed games here. The characters are diverse, well thought of and most of all, the art is realistic, which is a big plus for me (example, the medicine woman laying on the floor, her breasts exposed, dont just magicly stand up, but sink into them), so the choice of the artist is indeed amazing! Makes me wonder if it's a woman drawing this. The plot is really nice, not overly complicated and humorous at times (MC breaks the forth wall in a very comical way).

If ever something is worthy of your support, this seems like the game to do.

Keep up the GREAT work, we need more games like this!

It is a really fun games. Sandbox part of the game was comfortable to me. Quest are good fit for the story but. Visuals are nice and the girls are hot. Lewd scenes felt arousal to me. I'm looking forward the new updates in the future.

Good Points
+We have animations.
+Renders looks interesting.
+Story seems interesting and with well writed details it could be good.

Bad Points
-Main character needs to became more aware! He just tell everyone about that stone and details he should not! He says I'm going to be adventurer and tells every secret he have to anybody he knows for minutes... Or while others have big bags and lots of thing for survival he just walks barely clothed... Come on man?
-Animations and renders need improve. First we need quality improve and more detailed drawings for both. And second we need more imaged animations for animated scenes. Right now they are like 5-10 pictured animations. Af far everyone knows well maked animations contains at least 30 image. So for decent animations we need at least 15-20 pictured animations for first place and then with more improve 30 pictured animations are needed. And for last we need better physics for animations.
-Girls/Women bodies looks little bit un attaractive. Their tits are too shaggy. They need to be more firm and round for looking good.
-Sex scenes need more better looking positioned camera angles.
-Sex scene renders need more work. Becuase while girls/women looks hot in normal scenes their face looks weird and unattractive in sex scenes. I dont get it why you are changing their face that much in sex scenes? Anyway they need work aswell.

For The End
Well this is not bad game but not good or amazing either but interesting part is this game have potencial to became amazing game. I hope DEV will make nececary updates to give this game things deserve. Thanks your for all efforts you will make.

Pro: Art is good
Con: Why is there a solo male masturbation scene from a NPC in here? Tons of bugs in the 0.1.5 build that send you to random screens and/or force a restart. Wanted to like this game but lost interest due to all of the above.

This game is fantastic, although obviously in early stages of development. The hint system needs work, and there needs to be more content. Having said that, this game could really end up being one of the best.

There's no grinding, the art is good, the layout is intuitive, and the only real problem is I felt lost at times.. .but that's an easy problem to fix.

100% worth keeping an eye on this one.

Ok since im coming here every few days in hope of the new update and always see how few people give this game a shot i thought id give my own 2 cents as well.

While this is still the first release, this game already looks like it has an incredible amount of potential and i dont say that lightly. Its got very smooth and well made animations, already almost on par with the big 2D-CG Titles and some great characters to back it up. the story also seems promising, while not being too confuse and complex as not to turn people off while playing the game.

On the flip side it still has no music, and from the first looks of it its possible that the variety of girls (and therefore cutscenes) may not be that big at the end of it and the UI could still use some work i think, but those are things i still confidently have hope for.

All in all i think that this Game is definitely one of the more promising titles to have come out for the 2D-CG genre and i can easily see this game become one of "The Big Ones" in a few years.
A game that i will confidently give a 5 out of 5 for the moment, although it is to see how this game will further develop, and in what capacity and frequency new updates will come.

One word: Beautiful!
- The graphics and animations are a real eye candy.
- The story so far is good and there are a handful of people to interact with. Also there is some foreshadowing of a potential upcoming conflict which has me curious. I would like to see where this goes.
- Refreshing setting. Neither your run-of-the-mill city, nor D&D style fantasy setting. Reminds me of Moana.

I give this 9/10 stars, because I see great potential and it's a great demo. 1 star substracted for the amount of typos which sometimes break the immersion, but still great fun!

It's early in development but I'll give it a 5 for potential. You guys deserve some recognition and I hope I get to see this project completed!

The art is gorgeous and the storytelling seems to be on point. It's a bit short but I guess that's to be expected from a pre-alpha build. Looking forward to what's next!
