Pirated content in my comic - Any risks?

Hi!

Some people asked if there is a risk to publish a game with pirated asset, but for me it's about a Comic.

I made a comic with pirated content. I would like to sell it on Amazon. It's an adult comic (violent and some sex, but no porn), but I wanted to know if there is a risk that Daz (or an other creator) ask at Amazon, or contact me to prove the purchase?

The goal is not to earn a lot of money, just to publish my comic in paper version (and not only numeric)

Thank you!

I think the risk is a lawsuit and maybe being banned from these platforms.
If you want use public assets you have no right to use, you should publish it for free on sites like F95. And if it's private assets, you risk lawsuit anyways.

What kind of asset is it ? Would it be expensive if you tried to purchase them instead ?

Rule of thumb is if you don't own it, you can't sell it. If I made a video with vegas pro, fair use would protect me for the content in that video if everything else is legit; but the moment it comes to light I'm using a cracked version of vegas pro it'd go out the window because the tools themselves are illegal. Same deal with your comic; if you bought the model you'd be able to because Daz gives you a limited license but because they're pirated then having them already is illegal while selling them on a public marketplace would be doubly so.

Either way, selling something with pirated content on amazon would likely be the worst thing you can do; since the last thing you want is to get yourself blacklisted from amazon and all it takes is a single inevitable DMCA claim. Pirate stuff can only be kept on pirate stuff. Never go public with them, that's a bad dragon dildo ready to bend you over a barrel and fuck you for trying to go "legit," with stolen property.

You won't be able to sell it with pirate content in it.

Copyright law is a bitch and it is not on your side so if the owner of that content finds out and you have been making money from it they will bend you over a barrel and butt fuck you dry in court.

Basically they can and usually will take you for thousands.

Nice ones will just cease and desist to stop you selling their stuff but the not so nice will take you to the cleaners.

If Amazon find out they will take it off sale anyway even if the owner doesn't do anything.

Unless you own every asset or have a licence to use commercially don't sell it, especially on a high profile site like Amazon. You are just begging to get fucked by doing that.

At most you can post on piracy sites and try and get donations but don't expect much.

How anyone would even know that someone use a cracked version of vegas pro to make his videos anyways ?
