Unity - Pizza Hot! [v0.15h] [Abelius]

The art is not great, not bad either.

The story... exist, MC is naive and sheltered to the point of probably not being allowed to look at any other human being other than her parents before getting to the city.

I can't say if there is content or not, from what others say it's a grindy, barren wasteland.

There is a myriad of bugs, from game breaking to just plain annoying.

The gameplay in excruciatingly slow, every single little action takes its sweet time and there are plenty of these small actions. Click to pick up plates and the character is stuck for 5 seconds, walk to a room and there is a black screen for 2-3 seconds followed by 1-2 seconds where the character is stuck before regaining control, MC walks at a snail's pace through locations.

It's just a painful waste of time and a buggy mess.

It's a slow corruption game which is actually a game vs a visual novel. I can't really think of anything else that I have played that is similar in style and game play.

The graphics are good and the progression is at a good pace. I don't really agree with a lot of the low star reviews calling it grindy. There are new scenes frequently not much repeated content so far.

If you enjoy "the process" of corruption and don't need to jump quickly to full sex scenes you should give it a try.

The art and the writing in the bus harassment scenes are pretty good. I think it has a lot of potential so I hope it actually gets finished.
For now it has too little content (and I only really enjoyed the bus part). The pizza minigame is meh. It has a lot of effort (for a H game) put into it but parts of it are pretty tedious.

The story build-up is actually nice, and I can see where a great part of the work has gone to, but after the first/second in-game day, the game quickly becomes "empty" and you start to encounter lots of "coming in future versions".

The core gameplay at the pizzeria also seems promising, but again, lots of placeholders text for future content.

Also, the whole point of the story is going to study in the big city, but after the second day that topic is abandoned, which begs the question: what's the point of anything then? To be added in future versions?

Nonetheless is pretty decent and actually better that the average game here, but at the end of the day, there isn't much to do.

Hope it improves, but I would forget about it for the next 5 years and check again...

All of those kinda seem to be unlockable...

Pros:
+ Story starts with intersting premise. You follow a female heroine, that moved into a big town so she could study (at college). In order to make money she started working at pizza restaurant with pervy boss.
Cons:
- Sadly execution of the game terrible.
- There is no school life, you can only "study" at home computer to raise some random stats, that do absolutely nothing.
- Also working at pizza restaurant is endless grind without any progress.
- Majority of content is only a placeholder. They do nothing.
- After 4 years of development this is pathetic.

Art and Sex stuff: 3/5
Pros:
+ Renders are pretty good.
+ Main heroine is hot.
Cons:
- There is really low amount of sex content in the game.
(There are few sexy events in the game, that can be repeated with some small changes.)
- Sex scenes are a bit lacklustre. You see dolls being close to each other, but you cant see any sexy action directly. (Genitals are covered by body parts).

Gameplay: 0/5
Pros:
+ At first the game mechanics seemed interesting. I think it gave me around 1 hour of enjoyable gameplay. But after that the player will realise, that gameplay leads nowhere. It is just endless grind.
Cons:
- There is many things I disliked in this game.
- Heroine is moving at a snail pace from one place to another. (The game is a side-scroller).
- There is almost endless grind in this game. And that grind leads nowhere.
- Some game updates even extended the grind to hide the low amount of content. Yes, you read that right. The dev made grinding more time consuming and annoying!!
- There is a ton of placeholders in this game. Things that do nothing and only tell you "one day this might be added into a game". That is pathetic!!
- The dev even went as far as to MASK certain placeholders as actual content of the game. He tries to convince casual gamers that the game has more content that it actually has.
For example certain actions require certain skill level. So you will think you have to grind those stats to unlock those actions. But NO! You cant reach that skill level. Level limit is hardcoded into a game so nobody can reach it.
How does it work in reality? You can buy clothes that heroine cant wear!! You cant trigger some erotic events.

- There is a lot of bugs in this game.
- Sometimes the game breaks and you get stuck in an action you cant finish.
- Sometimes NPCs become invisible.
- Sometimes there are lags and game turns into slide show.
- Transition times (moving from one location to another) is incredibly slow. Between locations you will see a black screen for few seconds. Mind you that you will be traveling a lot in this game, so it is very annoying.
I have high-end PC, that can play AAA games at ultra settings. So there is just no excuse for that kind of delay.

To sum it up:
This game has been in development for 4 years !!! There is just no excuse for this low amount of content.
Let me warn you guys: Stay away from this game. It is just a cash grab without any real effort put into the development.

I like the corruption pace. Not to fast not to slow.
The "skip beginning is also nice, when an update is released.
The reason why im not voting for 5 Stars is the transistion time between the scenes.

Really good game just wish the updates came out sooner but still very good for just two people. The gradual corruption and public stuff are wonderful and exactly what I want in a game hopefully the next update will allow actual sex scenes instead of just jerking off

Pizza Hot! (v0.13f)
The game looks good, has a nice style, and I like the idea. The plot, which is based around a naive but very beautiful and charming protagonist who earns money by working in a cafe or bar, is not new, but interesting. It can be found in games built entirely around cafes and bars, such as Corruption Town or Succum Brewery, which are still in development. Or, for example, it is an important part of Third Crisis.
Considering all the advantages of Pizza Hot, I definitely want to see what the game will look like in the future. But given that we have only a few hours of gameplay in 4 years of development, we may never see a release version.
After all, today it has little content and has a lot of grind, which is rarely accompanied by sexual scenes. And it looks like it will be many more years, maybe even decades, before it is completed.
So my score is 3. And I want to believe that one day I will be able to give this game a solid five. But for that to happen, the developers will have to work many times harder.

This tool is the worst I've ever used. And no, that's not a typo or translation error. Pizza Hot isn't a game; it's a tool designed to drain the user's life time.
The protagonist moves like a snail on the verge of death. Every line written has to be clicked away, and there are unnecessary loading screens and black screens that you have to click away. But you don't know if it's a loading screen or if you have to click, so you have to wait to see if something happens or not.
You want to enter a room, but the question is how do you do it? Enter or knock? You can't just enter; you HAVE to knock, so what's the point of this stupid question? If Kayla is asleep and you want to wake her up, you have to choose three times: enter or knock. Guess what doesn't work three times.
Completely useless but it's enough to suck your life away.

The grind is horrible and the rewards are non-existent.
After 7 hours of gameplay, there was absolutely nothing to see. No, nothing isn't right either; there are "Future Version" signs in almost every scene. After 4 years, none of them have been added.
You are given clothes that you are supposed to wear to practice exhibitionism, but you cannot use them because you already need the skill that you are supposed to train with them to use them.
You'll be given the choice between a standard action, a "future version," and an alternative that requires a certain level in a skill or relationship. Surprise, you can't reach these levels; they're locked below that level.

Every time you crawl through a scene at an annoyingly slow pace, you feel like the scene was created faster.
The style is kept extremely simple. But that's understandable; the developer doesn't want to waste his valuable time, but yours.

After four years, there's barely enough content to justify a decent first release.
After four years, you can probably say: this isn't a game in development, it's a blatant cash grab. Not far from a scam.

Awesome art, really exhibitionism-focused gameplay. Too bad the current version limits lewdness and exhibitionism at 25. Looking forward for updates. Also I'd like an option to change appearance of the protagonist during the game, not only at the start. But character customization here is one of the best I've seen.

0.13e: My expectation for this game was high with nice animated 2d scroll and I've followed this from beginning. But after 4 years, it's extremely grinding for few divided mechanical scenes and the game is so slow that you will often see black screens. Without much fun, you will exprience MC's walking most of the time.

0.14: Grinding has gotten even worse to hide its short content. Long sequence of tasks with little reward. Initial idea may be sound but execution has been insufficient. After playing this update, I am feeling this will be abandoned soon.

0.15: Suddenly added new location - beach. But playing this update made me sigh deeper. As before, I could find no fun in all the walking, bus taking, and sleeping which take 90% of playing time. But now even beach cutscenes felt grinding. At this point, dev's main focus seems to be wasting players' time. This shouldn't have a sidescroller from the beginning as the scrolling merely adds more grinding without any advantages. With this apparent total failure, I am not going to review *this* anymore.

While the content in the game is pretty good there just isn't that much content available in the game. That wouldn't be a problem if the game was getting updates, but it's not. All the content in the game is introductory at most. Though I would like to give the game a higher a score at the current state, a state in which the game will most likely be staying in for the foreseeable future, I would not recommend even trying the game out.

its 3 stars cause the grind is atrocious, the performance is bad in some areas because there are times when there are just some pretty strong lag spikes keeping lust high for train molestation is annoying, though its still 3 stars cause the characters are pretty likeable, the art is good imo, and since its not abandoned yet there is potential for it being better, but i don't count on it being finished anytime soon

Firstly, yes. It's indeed painstakingly tedious to play when you try to progress Jenny's corruption. But, that's the main point of the game. Slowly corrupt and discovery of pleasure.

I'll admit, this is honestly my cup of tea. We're all used to skipping to the "good part" but that just takes away the fun and build up. In short, it just sucks to skip to the good part.

But the "slowly corrupt" feeling or route usually only works if there's a lot of content there already. It's sort of pointless to grind for scenes when there's a lot of unfinished stuff. It's like being on a cliff hanger since we're slowly corrupting Jenny while waiting for additional updates.

The art is quite the quality of things. It somewhat rivals Kinkymation's style, it's one of the reasons why this game has caught my eye and many others too.

Overall, its a solid 4/5 for now since I reviewed this after it's development for ... two years... Yeah. With all the content that has been added so far.

Additional Comments and Suggestions:
1. Implement a better Dialogue Skip feature
- I'm pleased to see the Dev listen to the community, even he thinks and I quote.

"This game needs a dialogue skip key badly!"
Dev: No, it doesn't. But I'll probably implement one if savegame compatibility is not a thing in some versions.
I went and implemented one at the end. It's Ctrl. You only need to leave it pressed and it'll skip lines lightning fast"

I actually enjoy the writing and dialogue, it's decent and engaging. But there are times where it becomes
repetitive and we don't know if this is new dialogue or not. RenPy has the option to let you skip Seen text, just not sure with how works with this option or if it's even possible on Unity. Which is why it's imperative that we do read the dialogue to enjoy the game fully.

2. Optimization
- Now, my PC isn't high end but it sure as heck isn't a potato neither. Thankfully, this has been confirmed that the Dev is working on performance issues, specifically in the Restaurant area where the FPS usually tanks when Jenny works.

3. Persistence and Dedication

"Doing it is the easy part, but you gotta do it everyday. That's the hard part."

- I'll give the Dev the benefit of the doubt here. His previous projects aren't exactly what you'd want in a portfolio, don't get me wrong, LOK Rebirth was great, that's unfortunately unfinished.

With that being said, all we can do is be constructive with the two guys who are working on this project. People are doubting left and right, which is understandable since the project has been on-going for two years already.

Needless to day, I want to be one of the people who do believe in this project. I plan to help the development by subscribing in the future once I have enough disposable income. Alas, words is all I can offer for now after I've played the game on v0.12 Beta 3.

The bones of an incredible game are there.
I'm all for a slow and gradual climb to corruption, but the content has to be there, and 3 years later it's still not.

The clothing system is also really interesting, but because of the corruption being implemented so slowly, most of it still isn't accessible.

Excited to check the game out again in a few years time and rereview it.

I tried this rendition, and it is pretty annoying. The game makes you do a lot of grinding. You have to keep clicking the bed to skip weeks just to see the new events. These events only pop up on Monday nights, so it gets really repetitive. The 12 events are about the main character doing sexual stuff for the landlord because of unpaid rent. Each event is just simple animations of sexual massages and talks between the naive MC and the creepy landlord. It’s kind of unrealistic that the final event doesn’t have actual sex, especially since things moved so quickly before.

The only good thing could have been the art, but even that isn’t a real plus. The art updates stopped a long time ago, so we only see the same visuals we had from the start. This makes it even more frustrating because the game doesn’t really improve in any way.

Overall, the game does what it promised, but it makes you grind way too much and the new events don’t fit well with the old ones. It’s really frustrating that a game like this offers so little content even though it takes a lot of effort. The dev seems to use AI for writing and unpaid labor while still asking for money, which feels like a big joke. This game needs a qhole makeover , with actual work. More events, more locations, more npcs, but at this current state i caññot recommend. I am sorry but this could have been a 3/5 game, but not adesso!

The only one good thing about this "game" is the art. The rest a mix of endless boring grind with nearly no content. If it weren’t for the artist, this game would’ve flopped from day one.

People keep talking about the “potential” of this game, but let’s be real—that potential is never happening. It’s a side-scroller porn game that’s been in the works for over three years, and guess what? There’s still no porn! If you’re waiting for that, grab your gradnpa's hibernation pod and sleep until 2077.

Updates are slow. That slow in fact that sometimes i wonder if there have ever been any updates or it was all a product of my schizophrenia. In the last six months, every time a new update was supposed to come out, it got postponed. And when an update finally does arrive, you get maybe five minutes of new content. I’ve had more excitement watching a documentary paper production.

The game started off okay, but now it’s just an endless pit for Patrons to throw money they don't have. And the cherry on top? Ableus' even thinking of using AI to write the story, just found out what Spine (the rigging app he has been using through out the game's development) does.

In synthesis, this game at its current state, it's not a game.

I played the update 0.12 beta. I could see what people said about its grinding. It would've been good if dev provide a button to skip a week, because the new events with the landlord happen only on Monday evening. Otherwise, I had to click the bed a lot to skip a week to get the next event. The 12 events are sexual services the MC needs to provide the landlord for unpaid rent as previously advertised. As expected, each event is basically simple animations of sexual massage with conversation between naive MC and perverted landlord. Of course, in the name of slowburn, the final event didn't include actual sex, pretty unrealistic considering the previous radical progress. I gave it 3 stars as game did what dev promised but asked too much grinding with existing events not synchronized well with new events.
