The absolute worst is when you reach what could be a branch in the path in some game and it's like this important scene or whatever, and you get to choose between two options, but then you choose one and the character is like "I can't do that". Then WHY is there even a choice? Seriously, no dev should ever do that. Telling me to choose just to do whatever they want anyway is dumb.I can agree on that. There's too much you have a choice - as long as the choice is whatever I've already decided irl, we don't need that crap in games as well.
IF I have the choice of... let's say "show panties for money", "beat them up" or "walk away", I expect the choices to work as they are there already as options. Don't hit me with the "I can't fight yet" or "I'm no slut!"
Honestly these choices should stay hidden until the character reaches a certain lewdness and/or ability to beat people up, so people are rewarded for exploring, talking to people more than once and actually just going around doing stuff in the game, starting out slow with other events that are more about enduring this or that than just willingly showing your panties.
I get it, these are there so people know there's content to be had in the area or with some character, but I feel like they turn the game into a big checklist you know, like oh my lewdness is 14, I can flash that guy now and also use a short skirt.
But I rather be surprised with tons of hidden content that unlocks as you go explore rather than grinding this one fondling scene so you can then grind that showing your panties scene, so then you can grind that fingering scene to finally get the penetration scenes. Unaware in The City has the right idea with many events happening at random, though it still uses stats.
