It's a good thing that the artist, Naikal, knew when to cut his losses and immediately dropped Pizza Hot like a hot potato. He realised that Abelius had everything he needed to milk the game forever, and didn't want to split the paycheck anymore because he had already provided him with the assets for the years to come. With the pace at which AI is improving, and Abelius is blatantly using AI in everything these days, he knew that his art would be fed to an AI imagen model to generate new assets with its signature art style... he was in a lose-lose situation.
Unaware in the City is the biggest competitor to Pizza Hot, but that game never had a good artist, which is why it has a ton of content, exploration, RPG elements, and total freedom; however, visually, it looks mediocre and nothing special.
The dev complains that the artist couldn't get the pussy or the tits right... Perhaps it's because he's the artist and you didn't communicate your requirements correctly? Just asking someone to “draw me a 2D pussy” isn't enough from an artistic standpoint.
He makes it sound like his “supervising” was more stressful than making the art itself, while also hearing the childish tantrums of a 50-year-old porn developer from the other side of the world.
