Unity - Pizza Hot! [v0.16B.j] [Abelius]

Game is VERY buggy and seems like the dev can't /won't be bothered to fix any of it.
any update that is posted just brings on more bugs than new content.
also VERY laggy and FPS drops are ridiculous. you'd think you were trying to play a triple A game on a gtx 960.

The one star comes from making the overall score more reflect the actual product.

However, this game is at max a 2. And this only from the premise and the artwork.

The "game" itself is a lackluster side scroller, which has incredible an repetitive gameplay loop at the restaurant and only has "more" H-content outside the restaurant.
You have you're typical old male landlord, who lusting after the MC,
Unique may be the daughter, who also is into the MC,
the boss who spanks you when doing badly.
You have the massage guy, with typical massage stuff,
If you get in debt with the massage guy, you can work there, not that the scenes are worth the effort tho,
You have the beach, something few ask for but still got it with lackluster content aswell,
Better part of the game is the bus groping, but expect not to much.
H-Content during work is non existent, since the dev tries to avoid the restaurant part as much as he can.

Outfits have a nice selection, you just can't wear many of them due to hard coded stat limits you would need to wear them.

The development is horrendous slow, the game still has multiple bugs.
If there were scenes, I'd say grab a save and enjoy but currently it's just a waste of time

I played with the 0.15 and 0.16B.i versions of this game. The basic concept is good. I love this kind of games.

The good:
- The basic gameplay is good and entertaining.
- The story is simple but it also entertain you.
- The scenes are okay-ish with the animations.
- The sound effects are good.
- You have the option to create your character.
- You can simply progress the story and have helping on what to do to progress it when you are in the pause menu. It's really helpful.

The bad:
- The game has a lot of bugs but each update fixes the previous versions but brings new ones with the new contents.
- Sometimes it has a grindy feeling. You have to repeat the same things to progress slowly and it's time consuming.
- The waitress minigame is good but I think it lack of contents at the moment. And I think the chatting minigame should be a bit slower to be easier. Sometimes I clicked the popup and it said that I missed.
- The development is not fast. I don't say it's slow or too slow but far from fast.

Do I recommend it?
- If you like these kind of games then absolutely.

I gave this game chance after chance for the past 4 years and it disappointed every time. It has all the things I like in a game and implements these things in the worst possible way. If you come here for the waitress experience for example you'll be disappointed. The game is named after the Pizza Place where you'll work, but the mini-game for this work hasn't been improved upon ever. If you compare this game to similar ones it earns last place in every aspect while being in development for years longer. If you are sure you played every other game of the genre give this one a go, otherwise stay away and go somewhere else.

I think its 4.5 stars leaning towards 5.
There are some lag issues and bugs. The story is good, very funny and interesting. Main mini game challenge is quite hard to complete becuase of bugs. I hope it gets updated often so we can play the whole game. My guess is it will take a while from the amount of cap set 0.16 release.

Two stars for potential, but this game has very little content for being out for so long. I'd say check back in 6+ months at least before giving this a try if you want a more fledged out game.
A big plus however is the unique art style if you're into that sort of thing.

The art is not great, not bad either.

The story... exist, MC is naive and sheltered to the point of probably not being allowed to look at any other human being other than her parents before getting to the city.

I can't say if there is content or not, from what others say it's a grindy, barren wasteland.

There is a myriad of bugs, from game breaking to just plain annoying.

The gameplay in excruciatingly slow, every single little action takes its sweet time and there are plenty of these small actions. Click to pick up plates and the character is stuck for 5 seconds, walk to a room and there is a black screen for 2-3 seconds followed by 1-2 seconds where the character is stuck before regaining control, MC walks at a snail's pace through locations.

It's just a painful waste of time and a buggy mess.

It's a slow corruption game which is actually a game vs a visual novel. I can't really think of anything else that I have played that is similar in style and game play.

The graphics are good and the progression is at a good pace. I don't really agree with a lot of the low star reviews calling it grindy. There are new scenes frequently not much repeated content so far.

If you enjoy "the process" of corruption and don't need to jump quickly to full sex scenes you should give it a try.

The art and the writing in the bus harassment scenes are pretty good. I think it has a lot of potential so I hope it actually gets finished.
For now it has too little content (and I only really enjoyed the bus part). The pizza minigame is meh. It has a lot of effort (for a H game) put into it but parts of it are pretty tedious.

The story build-up is actually nice, and I can see where a great part of the work has gone to, but after the first/second in-game day, the game quickly becomes "empty" and you start to encounter lots of "coming in future versions".

The core gameplay at the pizzeria also seems promising, but again, lots of placeholders text for future content.

Also, the whole point of the story is going to study in the big city, but after the second day that topic is abandoned, which begs the question: what's the point of anything then? To be added in future versions?

Nonetheless is pretty decent and actually better that the average game here, but at the end of the day, there isn't much to do.

Hope it improves, but I would forget about it for the next 5 years and check again...

there are so many clothing items, so many places on the map...
All of those kinda seem to be unlockable...

So you start grinding...
Increase your lewdness...

but it has almost NO CONTENT!

And you are even fooled by the game.

Quite early on, you'll get a pair of skimpy clothing.

You can't level out your MC far enough, to ever make her wear those.

Story: 1/5
Pros:
+ Story starts with intersting premise. You follow a female heroine, that moved into a big town so she could study (at college). In order to make money she started working at pizza restaurant with pervy boss.
Cons:
- Sadly execution of the game terrible.
- There is no school life, you can only "study" at home computer to raise some random stats, that do absolutely nothing.
- Also working at pizza restaurant is endless grind without any progress.
- Majority of content is only a placeholder. They do nothing.
- After 4 years of development this is pathetic.

Art and Sex stuff: 3/5
Pros:
+ Renders are pretty good.
+ Main heroine is hot.
Cons:
- There is really low amount of sex content in the game.
(There are few sexy events in the game, that can be repeated with some small changes.)
- Sex scenes are a bit lacklustre. You see dolls being close to each other, but you cant see any sexy action directly. (Genitals are covered by body parts).

Gameplay: 0/5
Pros:
+ At first the game mechanics seemed interesting. I think it gave me around 1 hour of enjoyable gameplay. But after that the player will realise, that gameplay leads nowhere. It is just endless grind.
Cons:
- There is many things I disliked in this game.
- Heroine is moving at a snail pace from one place to another. (The game is a side-scroller).
- There is almost endless grind in this game. And that grind leads nowhere.
- Some game updates even extended the grind to hide the low amount of content. Yes, you read that right. The dev made grinding more time consuming and annoying!!
- There is a ton of placeholders in this game. Things that do nothing and only tell you "one day this might be added into a game". That is pathetic!!
- The dev even went as far as to MASK certain placeholders as actual content of the game. He tries to convince casual gamers that the game has more content that it actually has.
For example certain actions require certain skill level. So you will think you have to grind those stats to unlock those actions. But NO! You cant reach that skill level. Level limit is hardcoded into a game so nobody can reach it.
How does it work in reality? You can buy clothes that heroine cant wear!! You cant trigger some erotic events.

- There is a lot of bugs in this game.
- Sometimes the game breaks and you get stuck in an action you cant finish.
- Sometimes NPCs become invisible.
- Sometimes there are lags and game turns into slide show.
- Transition times (moving from one location to another) is incredibly slow. Between locations you will see a black screen for few seconds. Mind you that you will be traveling a lot in this game, so it is very annoying.
I have high-end PC, that can play AAA games at ultra settings. So there is just no excuse for that kind of delay.

To sum it up:
This game has been in development for 4 years !!! There is just no excuse for this low amount of content.
Let me warn you guys: Stay away from this game. It is just a cash grab without any real effort put into the development.

I like the corruption pace. Not to fast not to slow.
The "skip beginning is also nice, when an update is released.
The reason why im not voting for 5 Stars is the transistion time between the scenes.

Really good game just wish the updates came out sooner but still very good for just two people. The gradual corruption and public stuff are wonderful and exactly what I want in a game hopefully the next update will allow actual sex scenes instead of just jerking off

Pizza Hot! (v0.13f)
The game looks good, has a nice style, and I like the idea. The plot, which is based around a naive but very beautiful and charming protagonist who earns money by working in a cafe or bar, is not new, but interesting. It can be found in games built entirely around cafes and bars, such as Corruption Town or Succum Brewery, which are still in development. Or, for example, it is an important part of Third Crisis.
Considering all the advantages of Pizza Hot, I definitely want to see what the game will look like in the future. But given that we have only a few hours of gameplay in 4 years of development, we may never see a release version.
After all, today it has little content and has a lot of grind, which is rarely accompanied by sexual scenes. And it looks like it will be many more years, maybe even decades, before it is completed.
So my score is 3. And I want to believe that one day I will be able to give this game a solid five. But for that to happen, the developers will have to work many times harder.

This tool is the worst I've ever used. And no, that's not a typo or translation error. Pizza Hot isn't a game; it's a tool designed to drain the user's life time.
The protagonist moves like a snail on the verge of death. Every line written has to be clicked away, and there are unnecessary loading screens and black screens that you have to click away. But you don't know if it's a loading screen or if you have to click, so you have to wait to see if something happens or not.
You want to enter a room, but the question is how do you do it? Enter or knock? You can't just enter; you HAVE to knock, so what's the point of this stupid question? If Kayla is asleep and you want to wake her up, you have to choose three times: enter or knock. Guess what doesn't work three times.
Completely useless but it's enough to suck your life away.

The grind is horrible and the rewards are non-existent.
After 7 hours of gameplay, there was absolutely nothing to see. No, nothing isn't right either; there are "Future Version" signs in almost every scene. After 4 years, none of them have been added.
You are given clothes that you are supposed to wear to practice exhibitionism, but you cannot use them because you already need the skill that you are supposed to train with them to use them.
You'll be given the choice between a standard action, a "future version," and an alternative that requires a certain level in a skill or relationship. Surprise, you can't reach these levels; they're locked below that level.

Every time you crawl through a scene at an annoyingly slow pace, you feel like the scene was created faster.
The style is kept extremely simple. But that's understandable; the developer doesn't want to waste his valuable time, but yours.

After four years, there's barely enough content to justify a decent first release.
After four years, you can probably say: this isn't a game in development, it's a blatant cash grab. Not far from a scam.

Awesome art, really exhibitionism-focused gameplay. Too bad the current version limits lewdness and exhibitionism at 25. Looking forward for updates. Also I'd like an option to change appearance of the protagonist during the game, not only at the start. But character customization here is one of the best I've seen.

0.13e: My expectation for this game was high with nice animated 2d scroll and I've followed this from beginning. But after 4 years, it's extremely grinding for few divided mechanical scenes and the game is so slow that you will often see black screens. Without much fun, you will exprience MC's walking most of the time.

0.14: Grinding has gotten even worse to hide its short content. Long sequence of tasks with little reward. Initial idea may be sound but execution has been insufficient. After playing this update, I am feeling this will be abandoned soon.

0.15: Suddenly added new location - beach. But playing this update made me sigh deeper. As before, I could find no fun in all the walking, bus taking, and sleeping which take 90% of playing time. But now even beach cutscenes felt grinding. At this point, dev's main focus seems to be wasting players' time. This shouldn't have a sidescroller from the beginning as the scrolling merely adds more grinding without any advantages. With this apparent total failure, I am not going to review *this* anymore.

Version of Review: 0.12 Beta3

While the content in the game is pretty good there just isn't that much content available in the game. That wouldn't be a problem if the game was getting updates, but it's not. All the content in the game is introductory at most. Though I would like to give the game a higher a score at the current state, a state in which the game will most likely be staying in for the foreseeable future, I would not recommend even trying the game out.

its 3 stars cause the grind is atrocious, the performance is bad in some areas because there are times when there are just some pretty strong lag spikes keeping lust high for train molestation is annoying, though its still 3 stars cause the characters are pretty likeable, the art is good imo, and since its not abandoned yet there is potential for it being better, but i don't count on it being finished anytime soon
