Story-wise, we're thrust into the shoes of some lucky chap who happened upon a shady job opportunity as a powerful cuckold's sex lieutenant. It's far from grounded and just takes away from any sort of immersion the game tries to sell with its main course.
As for progression, there's nothing really to grind for apart from the heart gauge. It appears that most if not all positions are already unlocked right off the bat, so what exactly is there to progress towards?
In any case, in 2025, it's a half-decent rush job of a 3D sex animation player with little to no actual interaction. But why waste over 60 GB of space for just that when you can mod The Sims 4 with WickedWhims and so much more?
The move from their in-house engine to Unity effectively did away with everything the "play" series had going for it. If you want to experience the peak of Illusion games, try Real Play or Premium Play Darkness. As abandoned as those are now, it's arguably the best we'll ever get of the series.
