Playing with my brother's wife is a disappointing VN, where the only plus comes from a bittersweet feeling, derived from the ending. That's about it. Netori is no good, heroine is not just a pushover, she is an "enabler" (you just got married, offer some resistance), H-scenes are a lot "haahs" and weak visually, story is non-existent outside of brother not being around, low production values, and the list goes on. Don't bother with this, "unless sister-in-law" really gets you going.
Positive:
- Enough H-scenes for duration; Bittersweet love (basically, they love each other, rationalize things, and the crude implication is "bangin on the side"), the ending segment is the win here; Egg vibrator scene (for once, it didn't start immediately from scene transition, with all the hardware ready); Voice acting is fine during regular dialogue, during H-scenes the quality increases (to put it crudely again, the moaning is good).
Negative:
- It's dumb. There's no way the couple could hide an active sexual relationship, with 2 other people in the house. 1 ending should be "getting caught"; Heroine needs sex and it feels so good, which is fine, but most of her conflict is fearing getting caught. Her husband's feelings or any promises matter little (translation: a cheater at heart is not compelling); Only 1 ending (at the very least, a lot of skipping revealed only that, and no guide was available); Lazy writing (lots of "after that some time pass"), and simplistic scenario, resorting to all the tropes and textbook events.
Score: 4/10. It's a title that desperately needs common sense, and the appeal of the premise disappears almost immediately. Netori being lackluster is not a problem, portraying it properly takes skill, and a longer running time. Not even bothering with some extra endings born from the premise is inexcusable. Don't have quality, go with quantity. Not recommended, but "sister-in-law" is rare in the medium (and this one has an english translation), so an exception for big fans of this type of heroine is possible.
(H-scenes aren't great, there's not much point. The voice actress is selling them well though.)
