So I had an idea for a pokemon-like game. I wrote down my ideas in notepad and just going to paste that in here, so I apologize if the explaining isn't always quite clear. I just think Pokemon and breeding type games would probably go really well together, given that it technically already is.
Main mechanic: routes are large and take a long time to traverse.
A day is about 4-5 minutes
depending on egg group, determines heat day
Heat Day has lust passively increase
IV's encourage breeding for better mons. for fairness, can only go cumlatively up (eggs after all only start at level one, and I am not expecting people to do the Matsuda
Method for a porn game)
Items can Increase IV's on mon as well.
IV's per stat are 0-25
Gotta feed your mons by either buying food, foraging food, or battling other mons which sometime yield food or other items
Box PC starts out small (mons do not need to be fed in pc)
Battling mons yields upgrade parts for pc
Raising friendship grants access to nature specific abilities for the mon
Like shiny, futa rates also rare

Natures
Natures influence a mon's stats similarly how they do in pokemon. Raising friendship unlocks nature specific secret abilities that can be chosen from. Some secret abilities can radically change how a mon functions.
breeding
trainer gets 1 unique animation with individual mons at max friendship. Other two animations will pull from generic Anthro Medium
mon to mon animations would be selected based on body shape and size generic tables
can only be done when friendship is high enough or lust
when friendship is maxed, can breed whenever
max lusted mons randomly relieve with another party member at night
certain items can lower lust (random breeding may interfere with breeding)
nature determines which can effect how easy it is to get a mon to breed
Towns and Cities are functionally identical. Gym hubs, shops, means to progress the story, miscillaneous task.
Routes to Towns and cities need to be planned using your map.
Use your map to find landmarks in the environment and match it up to where you are currently
Explore to find rare items or mons, but dont get lost
It's illegal to use Lust attacks in towns and what not, have to keep actions in the middle of the wilderness

thats the tldr of the idea, I just want to know if anyone thinks it has potential. I liked the idea of tying in friendship to still increase a mon's power while simultaneously being the reason anyone is playing the game in the first place. As for the breeding itself, I'm not sure if it should be just animations or perhaps some sort of minigame. I dont what to make it too monotonous if anyone wants to grind for perfect stats or something but I still like the idea of having some sort of time investment since it IS friendship after all. As for my capability to act on the idea, I suck at art, but I do music and game mechanic design pretty wel
