Overview:
Initiated by Daseson, this is a heavy complement to their color mod that covers the last major missing scenes, including all of the night time play with your Imouto. This color mod contains optional Ghibli-style backgrounds that where generated using Midjourney to give another fresh coat of paint for your personal playthrough.

This color mod will not cover the entire game and SHOULD be used with Daseson's Color Mod as a foundation.
I repeat, will not recolor the entire game, only key scenes that I feel are missing while waiting for Daseson's official releases.

Ok so I took all the steps (Downloaded game on Steam -> applied Kagura patch -> unziped the specific .wolf files using WolfDec -> delete .wolf files matching the unzipped folders -> copy and pasted FFFox mod files -> copy and pasted Daseson's color mod -> and specifically copy and pasted the files in the #For Steam folders of this mod, while everything worked fine, when i got to the night time the scenes were in black and white. After trying all steps again and instead copy and pasting the files on both #For Steam and #For NonSteam (just to trouble shoot), now the scenes in night time are colored (though the background of the night time scenes is still black and white).

That is a bit weird. By comparing the color mod files and the game files that remained B&W, can you identify where the issue comes from? Everything you did seems correct.

EDIT: The issues you are describing are linked to a faulty 'hscene' folder somewhere. Beware, it might be recent changes in FFFox Mod to ensure compatibility. I do not know yet what it entails, maybe FFFox Mod is reverting Steam renaming! If you retry without FFFox Mod and get no error, the issues comes from FFFox and I will need to wait for a stable release to rename my files or not.

RESOLVED: FFFox Mod uses the non-Steam file names in its code. Do not use the Steam version if you installed the mod, even if you are on Steam.

That is not possible without coding experience. I personally can only modify existing images, and thus, existing scenes. For example, it could be possible to enhance some sex animations with more amplitude in the movements but I would not be able to add more frames to scenes because you would need to tell the game to use them or change timings through coding.

I will only focus on some more recolors for now. I'm thinking about the restaurant scenes and the ill imouto bed bathing scene. I won't have the time for enhanced animations alone. If somebody is proficient in editing, I'm open for some collabs though. If somebody takes the time to redo some line work for a scene to be more dynamic, I can recolor it after. Especially if everything is quick enough to be accomplished in a short time frame for me.

I noticed that there is some scenes was completely reworked, such as some background and sex scenes, their drawing lines is not same as original, and it make me feels like i'm playing another game (though the color is good), because it not styled same as Inusuku. I mean, could we make a 'color only' version that don't effect the overall appearance?

I can only say it's very difficult, and the results are not good.
I once thought about training LoRA to meet this need, but to be honest, the sample size for image learning is quite small.
As a result, the output quality is really poor.

You can already do that if you only use the '#Complementary Recolors' folder, no? The #Coloured AI Backgrounds is there specifically for those who actually want to replace their backgrounds. Please check the content of both folders by yourself: you should be able to understand what I mean.

Huge update!

After ~14 hours of work, I finished some additional Yui scenes from the DLC but most importantly, ALL OF THE RESTAURANT SCENES (including those from FFFox Mod). It was long, a bit painful, but I love the result. I particularly enjoy doing the small beads of sweat. It's fast to do and brings so much.

I'm currently doing a Steam run without FFFox, so I cannot playtest my recolor and iron out small mistakes. If you see any, take a screenshot and post it here.

I'm also starting to see the end of this project. I think that combined with Daseson's Color Mod, we are now at a state where the game is playable entirely in full color 90% of the time. Right now I only see the new position created by the FFFox that is urgently missing so I will take care of that if Daseson does not.

I detected one missing image in the restaurant sequence in the 'akapp' folder from FFFox, causing the sequence to be slightly wrong because another image got incorrectly recolored in the process.

Please use v.0.4.1 to fix it, or override with the two images attached below this message (in the 'akapp' folder, if using FFFox). If you don't, one image will be black & white and the following image will lack saliva.

Hey guys, I'm back again with another nice update, done in around 5 hours of work

Here are the patch notes:

• v.0.5
  • [General] Removed useless duplicate folders when not using FFFox (the 'akapp' and 'FFFox Pics' folders are not used if on Steam without FFFox, so I deleted that)
  • [General] Fixed missing new AI backgrounds from the 'Black & White' version
  • [Recolor] Added the one leg-up hscene position and clothing
  • [Recolor] Fixed minor mistakes in restaurant scenes
  • [Recolor] Fixed, added and improved some cutins
  • [Recolor] Enhanced sweat and wetness for Pilediver hscene
  • [AI] Added several guild activity, peeking in the onsen and infirmary AI backgrounds

With that, a ton more key sets of images are now colored. Notably, the new one-leg-up position from FFFox and some touch-ups here and there.

I might do the head pat scene and the massage scene from FFFox, but at this point, it feels like spending too much hours for a meager impact. So, do not count on me for this. My hope is that Daseson will work on those in the months/years to come.

As usual, leave a like or a review for the thread, and if you find some visual discrepancies I need to fix (I do not have FFFox in my current playthrough), post a screenshot in this thread!

FFFox mod is mentioned quite a few times in the installation section of OP, take a guess.
Not to mention that overwriting bunch of pictures should work with all versions of the game.

Well... I do not have exclusivity on anything and I am open to collaborative efforts. Experiment with it and see if it can land interesting results!

It might be a difficult task now, but I'm convinced that one day, recoloring could become a peace of cake. We tried with ChinoCoCo during the holidays, but it was hard to land on something good, quality-wise. There would be too much touchups, waiting times and blurred lines, so I was like: just brute-force it, and do the recolor by hand. More hours to put in total but finished in a fewer days because I was not stopping until done.

The only thing I think that works now is generating colored background images from 0 in Midjourney, cropping character art, and then recoloring the character by hand + merging it with the AI backgrounds.

I would also love it if someone tried to enhance the original background images from Inusuku that look like old sketches, to reach the manga background style they did with the DLC for example. I did not manage to do it satisfyingly with the current version of Midjourney.

I do not see myself pouring dozens hours into coloring what is left and I must purposefully limit the level at which I am recoloring things to be efficient (just like when you look at animated shows). I believe that AI is the only tool that could allow us, for free, to produce a higher quality recolor in a fraction of the time required by hand. I'm curious to see what you and other people can do.
