Daz Positioning of Toys

Got a question for yall, how do you Position Toys with the characters when they do not have any preset poses?

Just wondering if it's essentially guesswork or if there's a strategy.

I just use the transform tools. Move, rotate xyz

Once it's close, it's helpful to center the toy/object in the viewport, and you can tweak it easily from there
Select the object and click this:
