I'm curious how other users filter their searches, so I decided to share my default search parameters and ask others to share theirs as well.

Personally I search for games by weighted rating from anytime. I restrict "status" to completed and filter out VNs from "other". There are a small handful of VNs I don't hate, but generally I just want to play completed games, not read comics or play works in progress. Regardless of tags, these filters boost search result quality substantially for me.

I usually don't actually search for any specific tags or engines, I just exclude the 10 tags I want to see the least. For me it's the ones from my screenshot. I would filter out ai cg and a few others if it let me exclude more than 10 tags. I do also wish there were ways to sort optional content and unavoidable content. For example, some games might have the gay tag but it's totally optional side content and some games are strictly gay. There should be a way to separate those in the search, but alas. Sometimes I will filter out RPGM games too if I'm burnt out on them.
