Prelewd is a 3D simulation that allows you to play animations with limited interactivity. You can view animations in VR with first-person body-control, change character models to almost any model you can find on and similar websites, or create custom animations with the included Pragma Filmmaker (also developed by me). It runs on my custom-built, open-source .

It's available for free for both Windows and Linux. VR is entirely optional, you do not need a VR headset to use it.

There is no installer, simply download and extract the archive somewhere. To launch Prelewd, double-click "prelewd.exe", or "prelewd_vr.exe" for the VR version, then double-click one of the animations.
Prelewd currently comes with two animations:
  • A futa-animation by

I have a lot more animations available that I plan on adapting for Prelewd, but so far haven't been able to allocate time for that. (I could start working on that with more supporters though *wink* *wink* ;) ).


Hardware Requirements

OS: Windows 10 or Ubuntu 24.04 (or newer)
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GTX 1050 Ti or newer. Intel is not supported. AMD support is limited, but may work.
RAM: At least 4 GiB

Please keep in mind that this is a BETA, the project is far from complete. Prelewd itself is just a demo.

Features
  • VR-Support (optional): You can view animations from a POV perspective and control the character's body with the controllers. Interactivity (like touching other actors) is planned but not implemented yet. Only the BJ animation currently has first-person VR support.

  • Re-targeting: You can replace the actors with practically any other humanoid model as long as the model format is supported. There is support for Source Engine models, which usually work best, but other formats like glTF and MMD (MikuMikuDance) are also supported.

  • Integrated web-browser: You can browse models and directly download them into Prelewd without having to install them manually using the integrated web-browser. Any assets you download through it (e.g. from ) are installed automatically and can be used immediately.

  • Actor customization: You can customize actors that come with accessories or morph targets:

  • Animation Editor: Prelewd comes with the Pragma Filmmaker (PFM). PFM is a free, open-source re-implementation of the Source Filmmaker, which you can use to create new Prelewd animations or edit existing ones. You can also import existing SFM animations with it.
    • PFM can also be used to render animations using the Cycles renderer (same one as used by Blender), VR images or videos.

Still a work-in-progress, but the editor will soon also have motion-capture options with VR:

  • Moddability: Pragma has support for the Lua programming language with thousands of available library and function bindings. It's somewhat lacking in tutorials at the moment, but depending on demand I can write some in the future.
    • There is also support for custom binary modules written in C++ for maximum customizability.
  • Multi-lang: Prelewd/PFM comes with support for multiple languages, including English, Deutsch, Français, Español, Italiano, Polski, 日本語, 中文 (Zhōngwén).
  • Partially Open-Source: Prelewd itself is not open-source, however both and are. Anyone can contribute to them if they want to.

Controls

Please excuse the messy interface for Prelewd, there is currently both a 2D and a 3D GUI which do the same thing. I'm still working on transitioning fully to the 3D interface, but it's still a work-in-progress.

Keyboard / Mouse

Escape: Opens the main menu. Here you can:
  • Switch to another animation
  • Download custom models
  • Change the settings
  • Switch to PFM / the editor
Right-Click: Right-click an actor to open the radial menu:

Depending on the model, you can customize the actor here, or change the model with the "Model..." option.


Virtual Reality

(Right controller only.)
Menu button: Toggle the main menu
Grip button: Move an actor to a different position. Useful if after re-targeting if the new model isn't placed properly.
Trigger: Interact with the menues, or opens the radial menu when used on an actor
A button: Reset zero pose
