Primal Pulse
Inspired by Linemarvel's Jungle Girl
Developer: Niche Games
Engine: Game Maker Studio 2024
Platforms: Windows (initial release) - Mac and mobile versions planned for future release
Status: In development.

Gameplay Overview
Game Type:
2D side-scrolling RoR.
Objective: React to approaching threats with the correct action — Duck / Jump / Dart — all requiring precise timing. All inputs are tap-based (no holds). This is a significant change from the original Jungle Girl where you were able to hold defensive inputs.

Threat Types:
• High threats (Current is Harpy) → Duck
• Low threats (Current is Tiger Girl) → Jump
• Mid threats (Current is Witch Doctor) → Dart

Core Mechanics:
• Scoring: +1 per successful defense
• All actions demand precise timing - there's no room for button mashing
• Fail to avoid an enemy → rape sequence, instant game over. (This is a significant departure from nearly all RoR games where they have an orgasm/energy meter and allow for multiple rape sequences per life cycle. Hopefully this change will result in the player being more engaged and focused during gameplay to achieve the highest score possible)

Content & Art Direction
• Currently three enemies, each with their own rape animations.
• HD sprites with 256px base frame size.
• Pure frame-by-frame animation (no AI, rigs, or tweening).

Controls
Jump: W
Duck: S
Dart: D

This key binding setup is hopefully more intuitive than the original Jungle Girls' A - S - D setup.

Roadmap After Release
• At least 1 more rape animation per enemy.
• More enemies.
• More jungle-adjacent biomes (such as forgotten temples)

Requirements for Game Release
[ ] Audio Implementation
[ ] Rape Animations for all three enemies
[ ] Backend for leaderboards, feedback system ect

Dev Update #3 (Sept 13)

All the grab animations for Witch Doctor & Tiger Girl are done!

As a final cherry on top, I'm planning on adding animation insets/closeup, (just like the ones Eluku had) these will play alongside the grab.

I decided it's probably a good idea to get a beta version of the game playable asap, even if the audio is still heavy WIP!
I just have some menu stuff to sort out, but expect a WebGL build within the month hopefully :)

Hey! I finally have a playable version of my game built. Sex/Input sounds are not in yet, but the gameplay loop is testable. Please let me know what you guys think if you find time to test it! Also I switched from Unity to Game Maker, which was it's own whole thing, but I figured it out thankfully!
