Others - Princess Reconquista [v0.3] [Sorry Karl]

Despite what the title suggests, you aren't fighting an aggressive war against the 15th century Spanish Reconquista as a Muslim Andalusi invader, but a defensive war as an (ostensibly) South American warrior, armed with an obsidian macuahuitl and everything.
This is probably for the best for a porn game, since the skimpy outfit Ish is wearing is way sexier than a burka, and probably won't get the creator stabbed to death by Muslims.
Even still, "Princess Icali" might be more accurate.

To get it out of the way, the sprites look fantastic and the animations are stellar. Every ripple and reaction and bead of sweat fits the motions, people complain about censorship but I didn't really notice it. I just took it as being part of the pixel art.
Unlike other platformers like this, it's very generous about giving you the stuff you're there for.

You strike enemies to fill up a lust meter, since Ish likes fighting and gets horny when she's working up a sweat, and when the meter is full she can get a big heal by sticking out her butt and seducing her enemies into fucking her.
These animations can be played at any time without filling up the meter to defeat basic enemies who aren't shielded, though you won't get the heal and the enemy won't drop any loot.

There are also a bunch of scenes of other inhabitants of your kingdom, specifically your cute assistant, helping out by distracting the enemies in the area you can pass by, a bunch of sexy statues, and Ish will have a bunch of erotic pinups when you open your items/skills menu when she's at full lust.
On top of that, at full lust she'll also begin masturbating when you're idle, which is a really hot animation if you're too impatient to go and find some Spaniard.

The combat is easy and forgiving, but engaging enough to keep my interest. The hardest fights won't take you more than two or three tries, even if you're bad at games like me.

Holy heck this game is amazing!

The art is peak, the movement fluid, the platforming satisfying! Everything a sidescroller H-game should be!

The protag is adorable and the H-scenes are all so good! the pixelart artist has done amazing work.

The enemy design, combat and Boss battles are really fun to play against.

Yeah, I have heard of this game. And it did not disappoint

So far it is only a demo featuring the first stage. Not gonna lie is the first time a demo, has actually been a demo, and not an excuse for doing things wrong.

Gameplay wise is okay, a platformer with some combats aspects. It seems that the author wants to add a variety of skills that can be changed in character skills. That could give gameplay a fresh air, and make it, so everyone can have different styles. There is also the parry feature.

What truly set this game apart from the rest is the lewd aspect of it. Sure the story is lewd and all that, but I mean how it is incorporated in gameplay. Normal platformers make you loose to get the CG or scene. Here not, CGs are a part of gameplay via healing; when your hearts are full (you are horny) you can perform a "taunt" to make them fuck you, and heal.

I heavily criticized fap nights a frenny, because despite the game being good, the game design encourages you, to not do lewd stuff. Most platformers are the same, you have to lose to get the scenes, which make the player choose between lewd stuff, and gameplay. They are not lewd games, they are games with lewd stuff in it. This one, encourage you to get the scenes. Enemies will hit you (specially those with shield bar, that can be staggered unless shield is broken) and then you fight to fill your hearts and heal.

So overall I would say the demo, shows pretty well, what the game aims to be. And it looks like it will be pretty good. If it continues this way, I wouldn't mind supporting it, via steam (as I have with karryns prison, carnal instinct, and Cloud meadow).

Edit: I saw people talking about the story. The story is simple, there is a country which adores war and sex. And this other country think they are pagans. So to the guy who said there are no stakes, there are 2, religious as in them having to adore other gods, which are not their own. And political, if they lose, they will become a nation subjected to the other and lose freedom.

So if you are looking for your plain good and evil, hero a demon lord, then no there isn't one. As the conflict is not moral, but again political and religious.

Another addition to the Metro-vania genre of H-games, but with a major twist; you fuck your foes to defeat them!

This game looked at the classic "sex on defeat" trope and said, "No, you shall fuck to victory!"

The controls are clunky (seems to be designed for specifcally for an Xbox controller) and there are frame rate issues, but I think its a good start considering the good art and mechanics.

This review is only on the v0.3 version, however if they keep the rest of the game greater or equal in quality, then it could be outstanding.

Not the top popular game somehow, this is honestly so fire, gonna be legendary when the full game drops. The animations, the artstyle, even the artdirection and the combat is so good that it embarrasses modern games, not to say it's just a pornography. Seems that Japbros had something to prove.

Despite still being in a demo phase (version 0.3 as of the date I played it), Princess Reconquista still impressed me with the quality and considerable potential it showed in its early levels. The game itself is a side-scrolling metroidvania, with very nice animations and setting, simple but effective combat, and wonderful pixel-art. Also worth mentioning is the music, which although nothing extraordinary, still does its job well. The erotic content is then scarce in quantity, but makes up for this with quality: the various enemies can be seduced and, depending on the type, there will be a different sex animation between the conquistadores on duty and our princess. In spite of the quality of these scenes, however, as is classic Japanese, genital censorship is omnipresent and dampens enthusiasm.
In conclusion, Princess Reconquista, its cute protagonist and its world bewitched me, so much so that it immediately climbed the list of games for which I look forward to future updates. If you like games of this type, or if you have a soft spot for tribal girls running around in skimpy outfits, then give it a chance!

A nice touch would be to have also small Pixel Art Animation + the Big Screen Pixel Art Animation side by side. But thats just the icing on the cake

H-Content - As of the 0.3 version, the H-content is honestly lacking in quantity, but it excels in quality. Enemies can be charmed, leading to unique sex scenes, one for every enemy type. Sex scenes are animated beautifully, which is just cherry on the cake for a gorgeous pixelart game like this. A major drawback for H-content would be the censorship, which is mostly contained in this game, since it's only applied to occasional close-ups, and not all of the animations (which are pixelated enough to a point where you don't need censorship, but not pixelated enough to where you can't tell what's what)

Combat - Despite the weird keybinds, which you can get used to pretty quickly, the combat is just the standard, platformer combat. As of this update, there isn't that many skills, but everything points to future updates having more skills, resulting in possible build varieties.

Conclusion - There is something unexplainably hot to me about tribal girls that wear barely any clothes, and in this game you play as one, which is just one of the many reasons I'm a huge fan and can't wait for future updates, which, as sneak peeks show, will only improve upon a very good foundation of this game.

TIP - for anyone experiencing the "Missing .dll files" when trying to launch the game, try placing those files in the game folder itself, I've had that issue and that helped it, thank you to the person who mentioned it in the forum.

So it's a game that's supposed to mock the prudes and puritans, clearly putting the catholics/conquistadors as the baddies, but guess what? It's censored, Karl! Completely beating its own agenda.

If you both horny but want some metroidvania, this is the game. Neat-ish gameplay, Gorgeous graphic, nice animation, and triple bonus point if your fetish is choco girl; outside scene, cant orgy tho, but at least your 'ministry'{?} do that on one of the save room and one more.

Story?
There's kinda in-depth story (yet?), so, just say its NotAztec vs NotSpanish, and nothing more deep than that

Control?
You might find some control a little... frustrating, especially you are some sort of metroidvania fans and have some habit on some control, like trying to attack while still holding down (you can't here, despite the dodge animation already finished, hope they will 'fix' that).

Also, The music, trust me, its far better than lot of H-game; maybe not the best-est but very good.

I'd say, you can safely expect more for this game, the game is still on demo. Pray for the gallery upon completion, lol.

Great game, good visuals, combat that makes you do some sick combos instead of getting some s3x and a simple but interesting story, want to see how this game turns out, perhaps we have the next succubus affection here.

Playing this game's both the best and worst thing that happened in my day. I'm super glad to see a game with art THIS good have gameplay THIS good as well. And it's a pixel art game to boot which I admittedly have a bias for.

Brilliant. One of the best side-scrollers I've played.

The animations are great, the story is fun, NPCs are quirky, the character design is super hot, and the sex scenes are fantastic.

The only issue would be the censorship - which is always shitty as it ruins art. But this is the nature of crap Japanese laws that are tough to circumvent, hopes up that there is an uncensored release.

I prefer rebinding like this to suit with Megaman X series setup:
Z - seduce
X - jump
C - normal attack
V - special skills
Rest of the rebind is up to your favor. Very promising game, it does has a lot of potential !!

But there are flaws in this demo too
- If you revisit previous stage, some stage may highly have the chance to be graphically broken and unfixable
- The other downside is the need to make the items less grindy. There are item that cost 30k and oh hell that alot for currency in-game

The animations are gorgerous! I don't even know if this game have any flaw at all, it's easily one of the best game i've played so far and the updates are pretty consistents with quality in the right time!

Really good H game, to me the best H games are the ones that would also be good without any of the erotic content but they serve as a bonus, and this one could easily still entretain even without this content.

Gameplay- Simple but very enjoyable, you unlock more skills and equipment as you explore the world, enemies are also pretty varied fun to fight, fuck shield guy tho.

Graphics- Might have some of the best pixel H animations i've ever seen ngl, extremely detailed and hot. The characters look great and the scenery is just beautiful too.

Levels- I really like the level design so far. Every level has multiple secrets and quests that you can easily miss on your first time clearing those areas, really enjoyable to explore.

Soundtrack- banger

Story- just some light-hearted parody of history, nothing too serious here. I quite like it that it's the protagonist who starts the scenes instead of it being the old trope of SA which I avoid

H-scenes are 2/5. not because the lack of quality but the bad premise. MC is a queen, and the queen of whores. she is the biggest whore in the world. so there is no real "evil" in the story... enemies come who wants to rape girls... but she wants to get fucked more. so there is no tension no stakes no corruption because she is already at max corruption... so it's a very brainded game, i would give it 2/5 but quality is nice, it is funny, it had an attempt at story and things like that. it's quality game but with this bad premise imo it's not a good porn game, so all in all 3/5

Great so far. Feels nice and easy. Story is almost non-present but still kind of amusing. Combat feels nice with some potential for combos, yet not complicated. Graphics are very good and animations fabulous. There are a few bugs present at the moment. The most annoying is probably a huge white square that replaces your character. To counter that, just walk to a wall to enter a different location.
The game is heading in the right direction, I just hope that it won't have the same fate as a certain other side scroller based in the desert.
