It's not the worst, there are a lot of creative decision that sell the game to be bigger than what it is.
The puzzle are a mix bag, some are brain teaser while the rest isn't even puzzle and more finding the combination code to unlock next progress.
So it's best to use your head with the very few puzzle there is and tune-off when trying to make sense the character, timeline, and the world.
That said, some of the ending is well written, it's self contained and adhere to the pre-existing rule of the world. The one that got me is the bitter sweet one rather than the True ending which is just sequel bait
