Ren'Py - Project Evolution: First Class [v0.01b] [Gunsmoke Games]

Genuinely looks amazing. Come back to it in like 2 years and you'll probably have a trough of content if we are lucky. Sunsetrider is always an amazing artist. If you want more now then check out his unfinished rogue evolution comic on like ehentai or something, definitely worth a read but it will make you hate that he hasn't finished it.

"Really good start, lot under the hood here that paints a clear picture of what can be and hopefully is coming in the future.

- Gameplay is point and click, not sure if there will be mini games or anything but for the most part it's heavily a visual novel currently. Lots of bells and whistles to choose from, side menu offers a checklist of scenes you have or haven't got, essentially acting like a gallery not only for sex but to recall previous scenes too. Really helps keep track of your progress and what all is new in later updates. You can choose from three starting powers and from what it looks like is once you are able to train or gain experience you will be able to level up that power or unlock multiple others. So far the only thing that really matter what power you choose is invisibility for the shower scenes, otherwise it's looking like further down the line you will need to unlock a power to progress further characters/ scenes. There's 4 parts to the day, characters move around in somewhat of a schedule during the week but I wasn't really paying attention to it. You can skip through the parts of the day so you don't have to wander aimlessly which is cool. Again A LOT of bells and whistles for this game which is a major plus for me.

- Storyline
Fairly simple, your a new mutant student in the X-Men universe (The Evolution specific universe) and your trying to get a greater grasp on your powers while also getting with the hot mutants in your local area.

- Content
Currently Kitty and Rogue both have striptease, stripping, handjob, and blowjob. And then with the invisible power you can peak on every current female in the shower. The way the game is going I'm suspecting powers will yield specific scenes and there may be pregnancy content in the future (Rogue is able to have sex while using a condom or covering her hand so I wonder if when vaginal sex is implemented it will be a thing.)

- Artwork
Honestly really great. It tries to keep to the shows style while also providing much needed line work and detailing that brings the entire thing into a new level. It's not animated but everything looks amazing all the same.

- Overall
I'm really impressed and hope to see more in the future. These were the same guys who did Something unlimited so I have high hopes and expectations all the same."

It´s hard to make a real review at this point in development (first release) but there are still thinks I like to say

pros:
- excellent character drawings
- character personalities are distinct and likeable


cons:
- the map navigation is a mess the buttons for the different floor levels switch around all the time
- because it´s the first release there isn´t much to do
- no guidance every time period I just click thru the map to see who has an event than click the girl I like the most from the selection at the end I stopped reading the dialog so I am not sure I even see new or just old events also the events start and end with the dialog even if they could be used for a mission e.g. in one event with Kitty she asks you to help her with some spicy pics she had send to her ex and now is worried that he still has them after their breakup I thought that would start a mini task to sneak in his room and delete the pics from his phone (maybe sending them to you first^^) but no you talk with her and than the next event is about something different
- there is not much to do beside the event dialogs so no stuff like classes, training both physical and powers or x-men missions so I don´t feel like a member of the school or the x-men more like a normal dude who got a day pass for the building and just start to talk to random people
- like in the last point I don´t feel like a mutant at all I tried the invisibility and the null powers but at this point the null powers don´t do anything ( I hoped they would help me with Rogue but sadly they don´t ) and the invisibillity can only be used at the girls showers once per girl it isn´t repeatable! here I was hoping this power would let me play more of an evil/asshole typ that always peeps at the girls in the showers, their rooms or in the changing rooms in the basement (or look at jean and Scott fucking) but no just once in the shower after that back to being a normal guy with no powers. like I saied I didn´t try the mind reading powers but I don´t expect more content than with the other powers

so yeah most of my cons stamm from the game being in an early stage with few content but I love the models and believe the game has a lot of potential to be as good as something unlimited was which by the way is one of my absolute favorite games

Amazing start for a promising game. The art style is upgraded from the DC version, it feels fresh, the character designs are not too alike.

Hope the community will support this game so we can see many many updates.

A new game by Gunsmoke Games. with a Xmen Evo theme. When first proposed I was skeptical like most, but for an alpha build we're off to great start. The idea of starting yet another game set in the X-men Evo theme to some seems almost exssive with the exsistance of RougeLike and the NullProject, but rest assured this is not another remake of the same tried idea. While still to early to guess major plot points, its safe to say we won't be doing the same old "you can nullify powers so every girl wants you" The idea here seems to actually revolve around devloping a functioning relationship with the girls as opposed to being a slave trainer. The art of course is top notch as should be expected of Sunset most of the girls have at least one nude scene, and the amount of content in it for a first build is pretty good. The dialog varies in quality, but over all never gets unbelievable. Everything is there for a near perfect game, it just needs to be expanded upon. Some minor critisisms would be the lack of modivaition to choose any power beyond invisibility at this point in the build, and clear guidence on how to progress beyond certain points. There's a city map beyond the Mantion but as it stands you just kinda have to figure that out by accedent by clicking the back button, a small mentioning of the larger map by Prof X would help. The "power scenes" are good, but should be repeatable given their voyarisic nature, it would also help things feel less grindy. A scene Gallery would be nice too. Over all only nitpicks really, if they keep this game in a doable scope and don't try and bite off too much, this could very easily be a great game that can be finished within a year or 2. If every build has as much content added as was in this first one consistantly this has the potental to actuallly outdo RL. Sunset is one of my favorite artists so I have a bias, but after a rocky year this first build has brought back some much needed confidence in this dev team.

Well another gem from Gunsmoke Games.
Characters are beautiful story is fun.
Not a lot of contend yet, but it is a initial release and we get about 1-2 hours of story and some fun interactions. Hopefully we get to experience full fun with at least one or two characters during next release.

Pros:
-Character design is real good, story is solid. Game-play simple and easy to understand.
-Something Unlimited in MARVEL universe!!!!

Annoyances:
-Floor buttons keep shifting as you clock between floors. Would be better to have static floor map.
-Premise I believe we have at least 4 more games with exact same characters and setting. Not saying this game is not fun- it is superb, but we've seen this before.

Ideas:
-A dungeon where professor Xavier collects marvel villainesses are being "Trained" + heroines

-You are undercover villain and took over the school.

-Multi-dimensional travel where norms are different.

Cons:
None. Game is new.
