Ren'Py - Project: Possible [Patch 21b] [Leroy2012 & Muplur]

I really freaking like Project Possible. It's far from perfect, but basically all of my problems with it are minor, stuff like minor grammar or spelling mistakes, event triggers occasionally being fussy or annoying(I've tried to progress Tara's quests before and it felt like literally every other event was triggering before hers, also I think I might have finished a quest of hers without actually getting all of the events once?)

What it does have is an art style that I like(especially as a fan of the show growing up) and some genuinely charming writing. The plot isn't anything crazy but there's a surprising amount of replayability, which for me feels more like a benefit than a chore, unlike some games.

Another thing about PP(heh) is that each of the ladies have pretty different quest-lines from each other(ignoring the fact that the story takes place in a limited setting in a fairly specific genre), which combined with the writing, got me genuinely invested in the characters in ways other than who's hottest(that'd be Tara, by the way, #ThroatGoatSupremacy).

My biggest problem with the game so far has been a bug where Junior's avatar frequently goes in front of the dialogue box instead of behind it so you can't really read what's going on in conversations with him. It's not game-breaking, I just skip to the end and then re-read the convo using the History function, but it is annoying.

Pleasant game, great story and characters, really sound like a real Kim p story, just a lewd version, cant wait to see the end, and could use more "control" over servants. Loved it all the way, keep up the great work

    [Patch 21b]

    Writing:
⠀⠀⠀The writing is very competent for a parody, where it stays true to the canon where it matters, but not too much where it would detract from a "porn game experience", all the while cleverly mocking all the cartoon tropes which made the original so silly (tbh don't remember much as the last time I've seen the show was like 15 years ago). The characters are well-written with sorta believable personalities and motivations. Your progress with them is fairly slow-burn, albeit in some cases I get a feeling that it's dragging on artificially such as with Tara (and the end result was very unsatisfying). The ever-presence of junior is quite annoying and frankly redundant. The feeling that he watches your every step isn't very pleasant. Also the whole "you have to repeat your previous life to a tee or you'll die" sub-plot just to motivate our MC to build a harem is kinda lame, I did not like this bs at all.

    Gameplay:
⠀⠀⠀What about sandbox? Is it that bad? Erhm, not really. It's not bad nor good, pretty average as far as sandboxes go. You're not forced to abuse your LMB as much as in a cookie clicker, but you will likely be met with sections where you click on everything in hopes of triggering some new event. This is in part due to the lacking questlog. Not only it's not always telling you exactly what to do, but even when it does, the methods of getting there aren't always obvious. For example, in the Bonnie quest it says "I will go and buy what I need", I mean I know what I have to buy and where, because I've just read the dialogue, but what if I've forgotten or haven't been paying attention? Now what? Anyways I go to the store to buy the thing and ....... I can't, because the game did not tell me how to earn money yet, because it turned out I had to do someone else's quests first. Yeah, so, you can't progress the girls however you want as their story-lines are intertwined and all the quests have dependencies which are sometimes explained, key word being "sometimes". Thankfully there aren't many available locations so at least you will not be THAT lost. Also it helps a little that sometimes the place that you have to go is marked with green. You can repeat the same exact small talk with girls infinitely for no good reason and I think this feature should be cut as it's too distracting and doesn't provide any actual content. There is currency and the store, so do we have to grind? Not really, you will not have to spam work too much to afford all the story progression items, tho there are a bunch of gallery photos for you to spend all your left-over currency. The restaurant shares that you buy seem to give you an arbitrary amount of passive income, which is going to be very low regardless. It also seems that their cost fluctuates randomly. At first I thought that they simply weren't worth the investment, but it turned out that you have to buy them to progress, so whatever.
⠀⠀⠀Now, choices, you can progress the girls (except Kim's mom) in two routes sort of like 'love' or 'lust' way, the main difference is dialogue and scenes. There are choices that give you plus points to this and that, affecting some of the future options, and then there are choices that are just cosmetic/flavor. What I despise is the final category of choices that do absolutely nothing as the main character gets immediately interrupted right after making the decision, and the author uses these A LOT.
⠀⠀⠀Game is a little buggy. First, we have typos. Surprisingly more of them in the first half and less with later updates. Character sprites sometimes overlap each other, even worse other times they are standing right over the textbox and I can't fucking read anything. There is no check for Monique's dress, so you can hand it over to her before you even buy it. Also Mr. Barkin interrupts you even if you do it outside of class, which is an obvious oversight. There is one Ann's quest that just does't trigger. Sometimes places highlighted with green even when they currently have no events. Sandbox navigation begins lagging the more you play. Various other mishaps which I don't remember at this point, but nothing game-breaking.

    Erotic content:
⠀⠀⠀The game has very abrupt pacing when it comes to sex stuff. To start off, when you begin playing, you're very far away from any erotic scenes and the teasing is pretty weak (usually just a pic of a half-naked character). As it stands the game's first 70% is basically SFW as the focus here more on the dialogue and character building. But then you get to a point where the pacing goes 180° and there is sex and nudity almost non-stop. as for the scenes themselves, there are no animations, but I think that the present 2-frame slideshow is good enough as it is. Sex scenes are medium in length, feature some good illustration work and adequate naughty talk. Unfortunately the sound design is lacking as the music doesn't fit the mood and there are no sound effects.

I think the final score is somewhere between 3 and 4, but I'll round up because there was a lot of genuine effort put into this and the final result is mostly competent.

Great art, great writing. Could be one of the best games on this site but unfortunately it's all shackled to an asinine sandbox system that requires to spend almost all your time randomly clicking around until eventually something happens. There's no gameplay, there's no content half the time you just sit and click until you get to actually see the stuff you're there for. Much like the Rick and Morty game on here a visual novel remake of this game would be an instant classic

Amazing GEM of a game. I know nothing about Kim Possible at all until this project (and I still know very little about it) but this writing brings you into the World with great writing. ALL of these characters are very well written, and it is very engaging.

I hate random generated events and this title mostly toes the line very well so it's not annoying or a chore (Patch 19). The character models are very attractive with Zero AI Slop. This is easily one of my top 3 VN's on F95 and I love it, it's a rare treat where I am only half way finished the update and I already subscribed to support the developer.

The scenarios with each character are so very engaging and unique the writers have true talent and I hope they never leave this project until it is done.

The absolute best thing going for this title is it is so damn FUN!! Just as I was getting burned out on VN's this title comes in to remind me why I started playing them in the first place the lighthearted sexy FUN.

I HIGHLY recommend this title to everyone, it's a joy to play and I'm so very happy I found it on F95.

I appreciate the original art, but this game is not for me, I guess. Too much dialogue and too much sandbox before you get to anything interesting. Wouldn't the story be better without the Junior character? Kim is hot but boring. Edging route with Tara is too long and reward too small*. The same goes for the corruption route with Shego and the blackmail route with Bonnie. WTF is the ginger guy even doing there? Quest log is anything but helpful. Boring H scenes with no animations: I thought the grind would be worth it because of some hot animations, but no, the H scenes are just comic art of inconsistent quality imo.

    * Quest log after one million or so interactions with Tara: She seems to be getting more and more physical. I think she is slowly becoming impatient. Dude whaat? If there's anything slow, it's you. She is impatient and ready to jump your dick for a month now...

Disclaimer, I’ll be humbly reviewing – Patch 18a – as an “early review” and Project Possible an “indie game” so I may be lenient on the cons of the game but also, I’ll try to be sort of impartial.
    • Dialogues, humors and retorts can be quite gregarious, especially those that mock and ridicule the stupidity or illogical decisions/motives connected to the original Kim Possible series characters’ lore. Ex: The supervillains illogical or impractical actions and quixotic notions of naïve characters (usually Kim Possible) are both humorously mocked.
      • One of my favorites is the goal of ruling the world, how the game developers (Leroy2012 & Muplur) sometimes uses real life examples to mock supervillains.
      • Some of the approaches on how the game ridicules the asinine parts of the original series reminisces of DBZ Abridged in Youtube.
    • Characters’ personalities, there is really character development unlike many other games. As how characters develop, I find it natural enough (not forced) when considering most of the characters are still teenagers (mentally not yet fully developed) and “very adult” genre of the game. One thing I want to point out or more of pose a question is the player-character itself, is there some cognitive dissonance or an amalgamation of duality of man? Example: player-character’s tolerance of disrespect and vengefulness when disrespected. Perhaps the story has yet to flesh out the nuances or maybe I’m just looking too deep at this aspect.
    • The Grind, the already attached cheats greatly help mitigate the grind of a sandbox genre. I want to point out certain parts of the story need some amount of grinding if one wants to make spontaneous encounters (seem at least) natural like IRL, but I understand there are specific quest/s that some people will find too time consuming if completion requires several random events and their respective probabilities of triggering.
    • As for The Artwork, if this was a “paid game” or financially well-sponsored then I would agree with others that the artwork needs improvement and consistency, but it is not therefore in relation to the development team’s background it is adequate and within-margin.
    • Lastly, The Story, I left this last because I’m still unsure whether to deem it good, bad or somewhere in between. Although I find it entertaining, I still find its current development very incomplete, hence why I’ll be suspending my evaluation on this specific criteria.
If there was 4.5 stars that would be the score I would give. Sadly considering the options, 4 stars is apt to my score. Keep up the good work Leroy2012 & Muplur.

I have waited a lot before starting this game, and it was worth it. Lot more content than I've expected ! it took me nearly 5 days to complete everything. (Patch 17a)

The writing is fantastic and clever: the protagonist avoid cringe dialogue & the choice you make matters. The whole game feel well constructed, i didn't encounter bugs. The art get better as you play, and the artist doesn't hesitate to draw different angle and framing.

I had some continuity error with scene (characters wearing sexy cloth before the erotic scene then their usual cloth for the scene) but I think it participated to the charm of the game.

Some of Shego story feel it could have happened earlier (i had to nearly finish every other story to progress with her) and it's the only time i felt i had to grind (pass time and wait).

I used the cheat option to get 2000$ at the start of the game and never had to use it again.

Globally I had a great time and I'm looking forward to see the evolution of this game.

Could've been 5/5 but the turboslut that is tara is just too insufferable for me. Literally every dialogue she has is about dicks and how much she likes getting fucked by anything that moves.
I thought that would change after

    but nope.

Rest of the game and characters are good (only played love route thought) if you can suffer through tara.

Ok, so this game is really good.
    Great... no amazing story.
The characters are well-written and drawn.
The scenes are frequent and good.
Not a lot of grind but you will spend 3-4 hours reading and following events.
Had way more fun with this one than expected.

I am still in the middle of the game so i cant definitly say how good the story is, but i very much like the progression.
The best part of the game is the character dynamics. Expecially the mc and Kim are a great combination.

    Review of Patch 14.5.

This game is kind of a swing and a miss when it comes down to it. The art is good, and I love the writing. it’s absolutely hilarious, there is a good amount of variety in different routes, and I think it does a good job with the somewhat slower burn for a lot of the characters when it comes to the lewds.
The gameplay side of it is atrocious, which is impressive when you’re talking about a visual novel. It has a sandbox, but because all the characters lines are interwoven, you can only realistically do one quest at a time. This is still not that big of a problem, because there are also random events you can get at different locations if you get there at the right time and are lucky. This is however where the big problem arises: some of these random events are required for you to progress with the story (and nowhere in the game you can find out which events you need and where you can get them). So in order to advance you have to visit every location on the map until you get blessed by RNGsus and you trigger the right event so you can get further in the game. Even worse, story events can be completely random as well, one of the character quests requires you to see ten events. These events are all random, so you have to roll the dice and win ten times in order to complete the quest. I’m not sure if I’m just unlucky, but the game would be vastly improved if the dev just added a flat 30% chance for all random events to trigger, because they just don’t seem to fire for me.

The writing is great though. can't stress this part enough. Otherwise I'd have given it a lower score than 3.

I cannot reach new events even with cheats enabled. That says alot about this game. After hours wasted on nothing but skipping days and repeating dialogs I give up, its not gameplay.

    - sandbox, where only one quest available at any time. Everything else is locked behind some unknown progression requirements.
    - endless grind for money or just wasting whole weeks to get a single event trieggered.
    - even with cheats its impossible to buy more stocks at work or expensive item at the store.
    - more teasing and empty talking than sex scenes.

+ sex scenes are ok. A few repeating frames with hot dialogs.

Adding sandbox just for the sake of making game longer is bad practice. Sandbox is good for freeroam in the city, repating unlocked scenes thorugh interactions with girls in game instead of gallery. But here it barely ever happens.

I feel like Shego in the basement: there is literally nothing to do, because no events triggered for weeks. While half of the quests are still shown as ???, which means they are somewhere in the future.

The art style is just amazing, in the beggining was a little hard but it just kept improving to the point where its just magnificent.
The ambientation of the game is really enjoyable too, personally don´t like the ´´false´´ options of choice tho, but that is my personal taste. The game makes you feel like you are the protagonist doing everything, think about the thrill of power lol, really a amazing job Leroy2012 did here.
Gonna talk about the characters too (yes i know they weren´t writen by him, since is a parody) but they are really well writen, with periodically transformation and ´´corruption´´, don´t really like the games where the fml just transforms in a slut from 1 dialogue, so was very pleased when didn´t find it here.
Hope that in the end they all end up in the protagonist house ^-^ (that would be a personal request hahaha), I think that you already would do it tho.
Excellent game, please keep with the good work!!

I really enjoyed this game, and spent quite a few hours on it. Usually in renpy games i tend to skip a lot of dialogue, but for some reason this game was able to keep my attention. It is very grindy to get to the good parts, but I was pretty entertained duing it atleast.
The gfx is 4/5, and Kim looks different than I would have liked, but it's still good and not same dax/whatever models as every other game.

    Unbiased Review of Project Possible

    Pros
-Cheats that aren't a mod. Especially on Sandbox which is a dying genre. Helps mitigate the grind.

-Good amount of content so far. Wide variety of characters, even ones that are barely seen in the show.

-One nice thing is that the characters send you photos of themselves which feels more intimate than just unlocking random renders like most games.

    Cons
-The art is very forgettable and lacks any sort of substance. It is very inconsistent and lifeless at times. Which is something many 2D games face when tackling expressions and poses. Kim looks like a different person each time, matter of fact that applies to everyone in this.

-Dialogue is very poorly written, it feels like the game should've just been linear because everything you say in this game is just a net positive. There's almost no use of options because the characters and story will still progress the same exact way.

-Sandbox? Seriously? That genre is very dated and hence the dev included cheats because it is a chore to progress days and clicking on the same places and characters each time.

Overall it delivers a subpar porn version of KP but lacks severely in every department. Dialogue is practically meaningless along with interactions. There's nothing arousing about any of it sadly especially when you have to repeat days just to get a very poorly drawn render. If you're looking for a KP porn game this is the only one available, if you want to find 'good' KP adult content you're better off with Jab comix and fanart.

    ShiShi!

    This game is awesome.

The main heroine (or manipulatable slave) is very likeable.

Down side so far is there seems to be no way to refuse certain side girls on certain things or you can't progress (like Monique's date for example). Art is a bit inconsistent in certain places.

There is also no pregnancy content planned afaik which is a shame especially for a game like this, whether you decide to go the love or corruption route. Author did acknowledged that it's by far the most requested content so hopefully he/she changes their mind.

    Victor069

This is a great game and you can feel the effort and passion the designers put into it. It has some of the (for my taste) most erotic scenes I ever played in these games and it just barely scratched at the full sex scenes in a lot of character stories so far. What makes it special too, is that none of the character stories is boring, and I never had the feeling, that i just have to get through this stuff to met the other interesting or funny girls again. That is because they are all written well and it is obvious that the developer is a fan of the franchise himself.
Pros: Well written characters, slow and sensual buildup, the girls are sexy but are in look and character rooted in the originals. BDSM stuff in which you can understand, why the girls do what they do or let them be handled. (of course all of it is still from a porn universe point of view)
Cons: Sometimes you feel a little lost and cannot understand why some events trigger or how you have to trigger them. Also some items are offered far to early in the storyline, so when you buy them, you ask yourself for hours, when you can finally use them. Especially when money is a rare source and the only grinding part of the game. It could also be more clear how much of the nacho shop shares are viable to buy.

But in the end, it is an excelent game so far with just one big problem.
    I WANT MORE! ;)

    AnyName'llDo

Great game. One of the better parody games there is, and definitely the best KP one. If I were to complain about anything it would be that it can be a little tricky to figure out how to trigger new quests and content sometimes, but not knowing also gives you more of a surprise, which is nice. Most of the time, quests flow easily from one to another, and once a quest is found it's easy to track in the quest log. The content is sexy. The escalation pacing is good. I like the characters and writing. Recommended. 4.5/5, and I rounded up.

    pretty cool, pretty fun.

    not too over-the-top

great graphics, okay story, the grind doesn't distract too much, all in all a really enjoyable game. Development is really fast, Gameplay is pretty good (story with not much in between)

although the phone kind of annoys me. There has to be a better way of making a Menu. I get that it's a fun idea because we're cosplaying a "how are you, fellow kids?", but i just find the idea of making menus into phones not that good in general. I personally prefer a top-bar with good old fashioned buttons. But i can absolutely see, why you would do that as they did it.
