You have to complete the trials in the rest of the mage guild. There are other crystals (the same shape as the one in the image, but not a save point) that you can interact with and it will make you fight an elemental enemy which you have to beat. There are about 6 of them, if i remember correctly. When you beat all of the trials then the game will tell you to go here.

Maybe a bit late but you have to type "succor!" with an exclamation mark, had to find the answer in the game files for this one.

I know it mentioned it needed to be typed in lowercase, but I can't recall if it ever mentioned it needed an exclamation mark. That's stupid, I never would've figured that out without you. Thank you so much!
EDIT: That worked, thanks again! I didn't get me past the pile of food further up the mountain like I expected, though. Just gave me extra MP. Guess there's some item I'm missing...?

Wish I could give you an answer but I'm still trying to figure out what to do here and it's the same thing on the candy island. For now I'm focusing on the main quest and hope it will give me a solution, if you ever find the solution please share it here.

Will do, but yeah. I assume it's an item or something you find in the main questline. I arrived at the Sea Elf temple and still haven't found anything, though.
For these you need an item that gives you the status of "hunger", you can find it in the shop west of the candy island iirc, coffee beans and pink slime jell-o do the job
But how the fuck did you find de food for the altar (BBQ)?

What's the differences between this and the steam version? I heard the steam version is the most up to date, but how far ahead is the steam version? since I have like 10+ hrs into a run and I just realized that the saves probably wouldn't work if I get it on steam.
