I have both the necklace and the jewelry box, but I can't unlock the door no matter how much I try. Can someone please help me and tell me what I'm missing?

You have to complete the trials in the rest of the mage guild. There are other crystals (the same shape as the one in the image, but not a save point) that you can interact with and it will make you fight an elemental enemy which you have to beat. There are about 6 of them, if i remember correctly. When you beat all of the trials then the game will tell you to go here.
